LEGO Iron Man Iron Patriot Minifigure Coming!

As you might have heard by now, there is going to be a LEGO Iron Man minifigure with the Iron Patriot suit, however, he is coming in a bit of a different format than most LEGO Iron Man fans were hoping for.

LEGO Iron Man Iron Patriot

According to GoNintendo.com, the LEGO Iron Man Iron Patriot minifigure is going to be exclusive from Wal-Mart when you pre-order the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video-game due out this October. We have talked about the game before here: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Coming! Below is the teaser trailer for the video game.

Those who are planning to get the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game are of course excited about the LEGO Iron Man Iron Patriot minifigure, however, LEGO fans who are not into gaming will have a hard time finishing their Iron Man suits collection. Perhaps this will also turn into another minifigure chase where desperate fans shell out hundreds of dollars just to get a rare minifig. It would probably be cheaper just to pre-order the game, keep the minifigure and give the game away to some kid.

Looks just like it does in the trailers and movie!

I like it. I would have preferred it not being preorder only. Sometimes it’s easier to just go to a store and get the item. Since I’ll get the game anyway might as well get a figure with it.
Has anyone ordered games from walmart before. Will it arrived at my home on day of release? Or will I have to wait?

Chris, that’s a good question. I don’t have any experience with pre-orders thru WM, but hopefully someone can answer this.

i pre ordered it because my store doesnt offer any available options for that game. what i gathered when i pre ordered off website is that depending the type of shipping you use depends on how fast it arrives. but no it will not arrive day its released. sadly as far as I know only way to get figure is to pre order on website. last time i didnt and assumed it would be in store i was screwed. hope this helps

I did not pre-ordered the game thru WM but I just got the minifig when I bought it right off the shelf a week after it released. As long as u get it soon u will still get the minifig at Walmart. Hope this helps.

I like that GoNintendo lists the preorder offers from other retailers. I like to pick the best bouns when getting new games or dvds.

    · Pre-order the console version through Walmart and receive an ultra exclusive Iron Patriot mini-fig when the game releases.

    · Receive a fun Spidey keychain when you pre-order any version through GameStop (available when the game releases). Power Up Rewards members who pre-order through the retailer also receive the DLC pack for free (PS3 and X360 only). Visit GameStop or GameStop.com for details.

    · Those who pre-order through Amazon will get a $10 games credit automatically applied to their Amazon account.

Chris, thanks for listing that. I was considering adding those options as well, then I decided against it and had the article focus on just the Iron Patriot minifig. I’m so not a gamer. 😳

Not sure as I’m not familiar with the UK market. Maybe Richard from BrickFanatics can help you out. He is a blogger friend of mine who focuses on the UK LEGO market: http://brickfanatics.co.uk/

Or you can preorder it, get the minifig and return it. I’m preordering at Gamestop and Walmart to get the minifig and the DLC. Then I will just return the Walmart one.

Can’t wait! I have half of the iron man figures

If you attach the two flick missiles in “Extremis sea battle” to either Iron Man or War Machine’s feet and then insert them (with figure still attached) into the launcher, and then launch, it would be as if Iron Man was really flying!
