I didn’t watch the video, but the thing that immediately comes to mind is a TV screen that can a watched by your minifigures! If you have an iPad, a movie theater!

I only have an iPad…by the way, does anyone know that the achievements in the iOS Legends of Chima Speedorz game (for more info, see: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lego-legends-chima-speedorz/id582417365?mt=8) will award you with codes you can enter in the Chima website to redeem Chi points?

I wish lego thought of that!

  • ntk743 June 10, 2013, 9:27 AM

❗ Please note (from what I’ve seen on Amazon) TinkerBrick does NOT have any cases for the IPOD 5G (the newest iPod). Some of you may not see that and will buy one and when you get it see it will not fit! But they do have one for the iphone 5! ❗

BTW Apple products is my hobby besides LEGO!

    • admin June 10, 2013, 9:44 AM

TinkerBrick’s owner actually personally contacted me to let me know they are working on it. 😉

    • admin June 10, 2013, 9:45 AM

Oh, and great to know you are an Apple-fan. I will keep that in mind in case i have questions! 😀

      • legodude19 June 10, 2013, 10:36 AM

        Don’t buy from Apple… It’s a wallet draining experience.

        • ntk743 June 11, 2013, 11:51 AM

Trust me, their not. I have an iPad and iPod and their not! There products are a lot better. For example my aunt has the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and my dad has an iPhone. The iPhone is a lot better! 😛

And admin, I think you meant iPod & iPhone cases on the sentence below

And if you would like to pick up a TinkerBrick case for your iPad or iPhone, you can pick them up on Amazon: BUY TINKERBRICK _iPAD___ & iPHONE CASES

    • admin June 10, 2013, 9:43 AM

Thanks for pointing that out. I always mix up pods and pads. So lame names! Anyway, I fixed it. Thanks again! 😉

      • ntk743 June 11, 2013, 11:52 AM

I know what you mean, but it’s simple like the iPad instead of the nexus! 😛 Apple keeps it simple!

admin, i think you’ll be interested to see this: http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Belkin-Brand-iPhone-5-Case-Yellow-Red-5002678 its an official LEGO iphone case.

I have had the one from smallworks for a while and think it is great. I have the clear one for the iPhone 4.

It only has the studs on the back, but it makes for a much more streamlined case.

(I am not affiliated with smallworks in any way. I just think it is a quality product. )

      Chester, thanks for sharing. 😉

  • Thomas May 30, 2014, 6:21 AM

Does anybody have any idea whether something like this would be a legal issue with Lego? I know the patent for the original brick has expired….

    • admin May 30, 2014, 12:04 PM

Thomas, if in doubt it is best to contact LEGO’s legal department. They are friendly folks and can help you out with questions in regards to licensing and other legal issues. Some products that are compatible with LEGO get a licensing agreement, which may come with the benefit of LEGO actually promoting/selling the product for you. Most of the accessories you see on LEGO’s website and in LEGO shops are made by third parties. And you can also sell LEGO compatible products that are not licensed by LEGO. In this case you just have to include the proper discplaimers, etc.

      • Thomas May 30, 2014, 4:10 PM

So I am assuming the patent on the actual brick ran out… That is why other companies can make compatible products?

Obviously they need to disclaim that these are not made by Lego.

        • admin May 30, 2014, 5:28 PM

Thomas, LEGO never owned the patent for the studs as they have also copied it from another company. So anybody can slap LEGO compatible studs on their products. That is why there are so many LEGO compatible construction toys and merchandise. 😉
