LEGO Ninjago website update!

(Written by Nathan K. – ntk743)

Here is some exciting news for LEGO Ninjago fans; the official LEGO Ninjago website has been updated with some fresh content! Finally, as the old one was getting really… well… old. And outdated too. Below I will show you all the changes and what you can do on the new Ninjago site. 🙂

LEGO Ninjago Website

LEGO NINJAGO HOMEPAGE NEW FEATURES: The homepage have been redesigned with a fresh look. You can scroll featured videos and games just by using the arrows. So far there are only three slides to scroll through, but hopefully more will be added. I also like the new background with clouds and mountains. Very Ninjago-ish. 😀

LEGO NINJAGO SETS UPDATES: The LEGO Ninjago products section has been updated also with images and descriptions of all the new Ninjago sets. (From the Homepage navigation bar go to Products, then choose Models from the drop-down list.) You can access building-instructions, check prices, and add items to your wish-list all in one place as you scroll through the sets.

LEGO NINJAGO FINAL BATTLE GAME: There’s a new Ninjago game I find super fun! Games on LEGO’s website are usually not that exciting, but this one is great! The same game actually came out as an app for iOS devices a couple of months ago, so some Ninjago fans may be familiar with it already, but the point is that now you can play the game both online or on your Apple device. The game is full of action defeating the Stone Army and sometimes even Garmadon! Be any of the ninja, even the Gold Ninja! Move through each level defeating the evil army – because everyone knows good always wins!

LEGO NINJAGO VIDEOS: Although this feature is not new, I just want to mention that there are also tons of Ninjago videos under the Ninjago TV section you can access from the Homepage’s navigation bar – including shorts from the TV series, Ninjago set descriptions and lots more. Great fun and entertainment for Ninjago fans!

The new site is pretty awesome looking! 🙂

    • ninja of stealth June 23, 2013, 6:02 PM

yeah, I’ve been on the new website! the older one was out of date by A LOT! who wouldn’t like NINJAGO?! (ok… a few people! but they don’t know what there missing!)

      • ninja of stealth June 23, 2013, 6:03 PM

sometimes I like sounding cheesy on here apparently… I just wanted to add that. 😀

        • NinjaMelissa September 13, 2013, 8:55 PM

My family doesn’t like Ninjago!! How can I be the only one in my entire family who does? They don’t know what they’re missing!

          • admin September 13, 2013, 9:12 PM

Maybe having a mainstream movie coming out will change their minds. 😉

  • NRG PYTHOR June 23, 2013, 10:33 AM

I have really been hoping for an update, but why now?

    • admin June 23, 2013, 11:11 AM

What do you mean, Pythor? Why is LEGO updating their website now? LEGO has always been late updating the Ninjago site with the latest sets, etc. 😉

      • NRG PYTHOR June 23, 2013, 12:39 PM

I mean, because Ninjago “ended” why would people bother to go to the website? They should have tryed updated sooner.

        • admin June 23, 2013, 1:03 PM

Pythor, Ninjago is just taking a break. It didn’t end. It will continue in 2014. So updating the website did make sense to keep kids’ interest and to give them something to do during the summer. 🙂

  • Meneldur son of Garamar June 23, 2013, 12:37 PM

Nice post, Nathan! 😉 I was just on the site a week or so ago and found out about the changes. It was about time! 🙂 Yeah Admin, Ninjago is always late in making changes to the website. Speaking of Ninjago….I just uncovered several of my Ninjago sets from last year. I found the Fangpyre Mech, Fangpyre Truck, Lasha’s Bite Cycle, the four ninja vehicles, the Rattlecopter, and the Spinner Battle set. I also brought back out the Ultra Sonic Raider and the Samurai Mech along with the Turbo Shredder. There are some neat pieces and the purple elements will be great for my upcoming MOCs. Glad I got them out again! I basically forgot about them! 🙂

    • NRG PYTHOR June 23, 2013, 12:41 PM

I still have my Ninjago sets as well! Although I don’t plan on using the brick seperator on them 🙂

      • I still have all my spinners and booster packs! There still all set up! And I still play with them! 🙂

        • Meneldur son of Garamar June 24, 2013, 3:42 PM

I have four spinners and I never play with them. I have like five booster packs so I like to use the elements in my MOCs–especially those ridged column bricks. I have built a huge Spinjitzu dojo and that’s where all my spinners now sit. (BTW: they’re collecting dust.)

          • admin June 24, 2013, 5:59 PM

I play with my spinners all the time. Well, kind of doodle with them as I work – spinning them around my desk fo inspiration. 🙄

            • Meneldur son of Garamar June 25, 2013, 4:56 PM

LOL! 😆 I can’t spin my spinners on my desk because it’s covered with other LEGO objects. There’s not even room for a single spinner! 😉

              • admin June 25, 2013, 8:10 PM

Hm… you must have a fun desk! But yeah, I know what you mean… mine gets covered with LEGO all the time too. Right now I’m customizing a Hero Factory guy because Fikko got me into it. So that’s on my desk. Then I’m also building an alien spaceship, also on my desk. And a little all-black half-zombie terracotta warrior… hard to explain… but he is also on my desk. And two spinners. Oh, and I just got the Yoda Chronicles. I guess it’s time to clean up… 🙄

                • Meneldur son of Garamar June 26, 2013, 9:05 AM

I saw some of your MOCs on Flickr and you have a TON of Castle figs! A majority of those pics were of ranks of soldier minifigs. Wow! But Duplo? Hmm, that threw me off. The Yoda Chronicles promo set, is that what you got–or the TV series?

                  • admin June 26, 2013, 9:10 AM

Hm… yeah, I like to build armies. I have a lot more now – just lazy to take pictures. And yeah, I love the DUPLO Castle line! I will write about it some day. I actually have no idea how it was ever approved as a LEGO product because it is quite violent with one of the absolute scariest-looking minifigs. It has been discontinued after a short while because parents were complaining. 🙄

                  • admin June 26, 2013, 3:18 PM

Forgot to answer the last part of your question. It is the Yoda Chronicles book that I got. It is really awesome. I’m supposed to run a contest for it sometime in the first half of next month. 😉

  • Meneldur son of Garamar June 23, 2013, 12:41 PM

Oh yeah, I found out that the Ewok Village set will cost $250! That’s outrageous! 😡 I was thinking of getting it but now I’m definetly not. Hopefully I’ll find a place that sells it A LOT cheaper. Do you know of any places that will, Admin?

    • admin June 23, 2013, 1:10 PM

Meneldur, the price is not at all out of line. The set is 1990 pieces and a HUGE amount of minifigures. It is actually cheap at 12 cents a piece. As this is an exclusive and highly wanted set I doubt that the price will ever come down a whole lot. I don’t see why it would. You might consider buying the set and selling the minifigs, or just buy it without the minifigs. Another way you could save some is to buy it on Amazon if and when it starts to carry it (make sure you buy directly from Amazon and not from an Amazon seller) get free shipping and no tax. Just the no tax part will save you about 20 bucks. 🙄

      • Meneldur June 23, 2013, 4:27 PM

I hardly ever think of the price per piece. Thanks for the info. 😉

        • admin June 23, 2013, 7:05 PM

Price per piece is actually a great way to see if a set is a good deal or not. 10 cents per piece is standard for normal LEGO sets and 12 cents per piece for licensed sets. In general if the price is better than those, you know you are getting a good deal, if higher, then it is best to pass or wait until the price drops. But in general LEGO has been pretty consistent with their prices and follows the above formula. The price per piece rato is also a great way to calculate if a deal is good when you are out shopping and you don’t remember the standard price. 😉

          • Meneldur son of Garamar June 25, 2013, 4:57 PM

Using the price/piece ration, I’d say the modular buildings are excellent prices. Thanks, Admin. I’m good at math but I just don’t like to do it when I’m on breaks. 😆

            • admin June 25, 2013, 8:11 PM

LOL! I try to avoid mat too, but for LEGO deals I’m willing to do a little once in a while. 😀

  • eh..it’s just the same as it was before. well…no it has changed..THEY TOOK AWAY THE LIST OF CARDS FOR THE SPINNERS! AND THE LIST OF WEAPONS! 😡

  • Fikko3107 June 23, 2013, 5:04 PM

Nice post. Hey, by the way, I’m getting absolutely no cellphone reception at the moment and is currently borrowing someone elses’ since I’m literally in a mountain. So don’t expect seeing me for the rest of the day. Oh yeah, there might me some spelling errors since I’m typing from inside a jeep!

    • admin June 23, 2013, 7:05 PM

Sounds like you are out on an adveture! 😀

      • Fikko3107 June 24, 2013, 8:07 AM

I’m back! Well, not really, but at least I’m off the mountain.

        • admin June 24, 2013, 8:50 AM

Well, glad to hear that you made it and no bears ate you. 🙄

  • Melbuscus June 23, 2013, 10:12 PM

Hmmm, seems like it was a rather nice change I myself am satisfied also that they made it compadable with mobile devices with out flash player.

    • admin June 24, 2013, 8:52 AM

Oh, that’s a great point! I don’t have a mobile thingy, just an old flip-phone so wouldn’t have noticed, but yeah, that is a really important upgrade! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  • Darkon June 23, 2013, 10:18 PM

I looked up Mr. Gold on ebay recently, and while it is true that most people are trying to sell him for $1000, there are many people selling him for only $50, $40, and even $20! In my opinion he is not worth $1000, and apparently other people agree with me. 😀

    • admin June 24, 2013, 8:50 AM

Darkon, be careful with those eBay listings. The $20-$50 ones are customs, put together by people using spray-paint and printed decals. They are NOT the real Mr. Gold. The real one still sells for around $1,000. 😉

      • ultra evan June 26, 2013, 7:43 PM

stop giving away my secret fake mr.gold plan admin! just kidding though. honestly i tried a bunch of times getting mr.gold. i still don’t have him. i have an army of snakes and stone warriors and i wanna make a fight between them and the ninja. then mr.gold appears and summons the golden dragon and rides in the golden mech. then he obliterates the snakes and stone warriors. man that would be epic

        • admin June 27, 2013, 8:27 AM

You will find him when you are not looking. 🙄

  • Darkon June 24, 2013, 10:06 AM

Yes, but often the quallity of the customs is just as good or even better than the real thing. So in a sense they are real. What’s really stupid are the people saying they’ll give you either Mr. Gold or Medusa. There’s no way they have Mr. Gold, and besides, Medusa sticks out of the package like a sore thumb because of her giant tail. So it’s kind of hard to mistake her for Mr. Gold.

    • admin June 24, 2013, 10:19 AM

Yes, there are several customizers who create excellent quality products. I’m a big fan of them and often feature them here. On eBay you have to be careful though as the quality is really mixed. You have kids “customizing” minifigs with spray-paint and Sharpies, and professionals with their own pad-printing machines and chroming facilities. Usually those who are really good graduate into having their own online shop though. 🙂

      • Ike June 25, 2013, 7:06 PM

I recently convinced my little brother not to spray-pant a homemade Lego gun!

  • NRG PYTHOR June 25, 2013, 4:29 AM

I have already gaven up on finding Mr.Gold. The odds are almost impossible for me 🙁

    • admin June 25, 2013, 10:27 AM

Quoting Han Solo; “Never tell me the odds!”. Seriously if you think about the odds of anything we would never achieve anything and live a boring life. So don’t give up hope! 😉

      • NinjaMelissa September 13, 2013, 9:02 PM

Also quoted by Nya in “Day of the Great Devourer”. … oh man I’ve seen Ninjago too much to remember that! Oh well! 🙂

    • Ike June 25, 2013, 7:05 PM

technically the odds of you even saying that are worse than the odds of you finding Mr. Gold!

  • Guy June 25, 2013, 7:07 PM

I AM A GUY! A NORMAL GUY WHO WAS CHEESE ON HIS ARMPITS, A BLUE AFRO, AND IS SWIMMING IN A POOL OF FUDGE!!!
Why are you staring at me like that!

    • Guy June 25, 2013, 7:08 PM

Sorry, that doesn’t pertain to anything, I just had to say it though.

  • NRG PYTHOR June 26, 2013, 10:48 AM

    Ok?

  • JAY THE ULTIMATE NINJA June 27, 2013, 5:08 PM

  • EZNetwork June 29, 2013, 9:10 AM

Did you hear about the Ninjago movie coming to theaters? It’s going to be EPIC! Anyways, what do you think?

    • admin June 29, 2013, 9:43 AM

Yeah, I know about it. I’m planning to write on it next week so we can discuss. 😉
