Comic-Con LEGO Super Heroes minifigs!

Continuing news with LEGO goodness from the recent San Diego Comic-Con, let’s look at the exclusive LEGO Super Heroes minifigs given out this year! You might remember that last year LEGO gave away four unique LEGO Super Heroes minifigs at the convention to lucky raffle-winners in very limited numbers (see: 2012 Comic-Con Exclusive LEGO Super Heroes).

Comic Con LEGO Super Heroes Minifigures

This year LEGO continued the tradition with four more exclusive LEGO Super Heroes minifigs. Two Marvel Super Heroes were given out the first and second day of the convention – 200 of each: an alternate suit Spider-Man and Spider-Woman. And on the third and last day of Comic-Con two DC Universe minifigures were given away – 350 each: Green Arrow and Black Suit Superman. Look at all the awesome detailing! 🙂

Comic Con LEGO Super Heroes Marvel

Here you can see the exclusive LEGO Super Heroes Spider-Man and Spider-Woman in their really nice packaging. LEGO has made previous versions of Spider-Man (including the Comic-Con exclusive from last year: Black Suit Spider-Man), but this is the first time we get Spider-Woman!

Comic Con LEGO Super Heroes DC Universe

And here are the exclusive LEGO Super Heroes Green Arrow and Black Suit Superman. This is the first time we get a Green Arrow minifig – hopefully he will also appear in a regular LEGO set in the future.

As you can imagine the LEGO Comic-Con Super Heroes minifigures are highly collectible. With such small numbers released collectors are willing to shell out quite a bit money. If you would like to get them for your collection, eBay is your best friend. The minifigs are going for about $500 each, but you may luck out and able to get them for less! Here are the eBay links:

ok, all I got to say is the the spiderman is WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more accurate than the other one! the one you find in sets has too much blue in it.

  • ExoBro94 July 25, 2013, 10:31 AM

You have your numbers mixed up. There were 200 of each of the DC superheroes and 350 of each of the Marvel superheroes.

    • admin July 25, 2013, 12:42 PM

Are you positive? I got those numbers from someone who was there. Just want to make sure before I change anything. 😉

  • Andy July 25, 2013, 10:43 AM

    • ??? September 28, 2013, 11:57 PM

    • admin July 25, 2013, 2:19 PM

Yes, Azog is going to be in a Hobbit set later this year, but it will be a slightly different version. 😉

        Really? Any reliable information source?

        • admin July 26, 2013, 9:28 AM

It’s grape-wine news. No solid source yet. 😉

That’s good to hear. I was disappointed with the weapon. I’m glad they finally came out with him. I was surprised that LEGO didn’t release him in the first wave.

  • lego trooper 91 July 25, 2013, 1:48 PM

nice i like all of them except spider women but i would never buy a minifgur for $80 much less $470!!! i would be able to get all the lone ranger set and have mony left over…

As with last year, I agree with most people in thinking this is a stupid decision, and am very disappointed that this is continuing. Ideally, this would be an early release of figures that would be later available in sets, possibly with a listing of “San Diego Comic Con” and the year printed on the back, to keep them unique. Instead, we get figure that people have been hoping for since the announcement of the LEGO super Hero licence in a form that almost no one is able to get a hold of. Worse still, LEGO isn’t even selling them or making them available afterwords like other Toy groups do at Comic Con. If next to no one is going to be able to get them, why bother making the figure to begin with? I was hoping that the fan outcry from this last year would have LEGO stop, or at least reevaluate doing this.

I do hope LEGO does stop this. Perhaps I am am also a little upset that they put the Flash in a Batman set, instead of making a proper set for the Flash with, say, Gorilla Grod or one of his enemies. We only have 4 DC superheroes Minigiures in sets (The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Superman) that are not directly related to Batman (even then they have yet to make a Batgirl, or remake Nightwing), so it becomes increasingly disheartening to see that LEGO is willing to make figures for these, but in a way that doesn’t benefit customers or themselves, only a few lucky people in a drawing, who often just resell it.

    • admin July 26, 2013, 9:14 AM

Jacob, yes, how LEGO has been handling this is quite surprizing. I don’t see how this is beneficial to LEGO; as you said they could just do an early release of minifigs/sets – and as we know that is already going excellent; the Dolorean was flying off the shelves at full price.

The only people who benefit from this arrangement is eBay sellers, who are making more and more on this minifigs. Last year the four Super Heroes went for about $200 each. This year we are up to $500. And not to speak of The Hobbit minifig that sells for way over $1,000! 😯

  • legosw July 26, 2013, 12:23 PM

green arrow is beast!!!!!!!!! to bad he’s so much money. oh! get this! spider-woman was (a few days ago at least) starting at a bid of 1 something dollars! probably some custom crap. you know what I mean?

    • Håkan July 27, 2013, 12:17 PM

I don’t think it’s uncommon to start a bid on a rare object very cheaply to attract interest, if the demand is high, it would likely soon increase rapidly, anyway.

      • admin July 27, 2013, 1:01 PM

Yep, starting very low on eBay auctions is a great strategy! The lower you start the better! I used to do it all the time when I was regularly selling on eBay. Always started at 99 cents even on items worth hundreds of dollars. And the price ALWAYS went up to what the item was worth, or even more! Starting low is to drum up interest. In huge marketplaces like eBay it works really well. 😉

  • Batman is AWESOME July 29, 2013, 12:29 PM

I’m kinda disappointed with this years minifigs…. But they are cool still….

  • Ryan February 14, 2014, 6:35 PM

I hate it hate it hate it! Why why why? Figures should not be that much! I mean I’m in Britain so I have no chance of getting these figs I mean I could go to America for that price of 1 mini figure plus there rarer than mr gold it’s worthless now! Stop this crap Lego! I mean at least release them in a book or something I want a chance of getting these figs but no the Americans get the luxury treatment (no offence) but it’s true I really want to go to comic con but I can’t afford to go there! Plus if I did have the chance knowing my luck they’ll be all gone! Mr gold looks better and should be rarer than these figures stupid comic con stupid Lego if I ever knew somebody so stupid to buy 4 mini figures for£4000 I would tell them to buy a real set!

    • admin February 14, 2014, 8:31 PM

Ryan, you make some good points. Especially the fact that these figures are not even available at other countries. Very sad. 😕

      • Ryan February 15, 2014, 4:57 PM

Hey admin I hope your not offended about the post I did earlier I’m just making my point and also Lego is made in Denmark! If there’s gonna be any rare mini figs they should be exclusive to there!

        • admin February 15, 2014, 5:10 PM

Ryan, no offense taken. I understand your frustration. You are not the only one who complains about rare minifigures only being available at select events.

  • Ryan February 15, 2014, 6:10 PM

Hey admin could you look on the other posts I’ve posted on? I’ve given you info on the seacow I think you were talking about the new dc hero sets and also that stupid agog minifigure post

    • admin February 15, 2014, 9:47 PM

Ryan, yeah, we have talked about the SeaCow already. Check The LEGO Movie section. I’m well aware of that set and the other summer sets coming. 😉
