San Diego Comic-Con LEGO exclusive sets!

We have covered the exclusive LEGO minifigures that were only available at the recent San Diego Comic-Con (see links at the end of this post), but there were also a couple of unique sets that we haven’t yet talked about. These sets were not giveaways like the minifigures, but were available for purchase in limited quantities (1000 of each). So let’s take a look! 🙂

SDCC Comic Con LEGO Exclusive Sets

LEGO STAR WARS JEK-14 MINI STEALTH STARFIGHTER: a cute, small version of the recently released #75018 LEGO Star Wars Jek-14 Stealth Starfighter, this set includes 105 pieces and a Jek-14 minifigure (same as in the larger set), and was retailing at Comic-Con for $40. The box has the Comic-Con logo, so make sure you don’t throw away the box if you have this set already, as it will keep its value significantly better! 😀

SDCC Comic Con LEGO Star Wars Jek-14 Mini Set

Flickr member Allen Tran kindly shared some detailed pictures of the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive LEGO Star Wars set. I will show you some of them below, and you can also check out Allen’s flickr gallery for more.

If you would like the LEGO Star Wars Jek-14 Mini Stealth Starfighter, you can find this set, along with other Comic-Con exclusives, on eBay. The going price is somewhere between $50-$100. Not too bad for such a rare and exclusive LEGO set: SEE ON EBAY

LEGO THE HOBBIT MICRO SCALE BAG END: this is another really nice set that was available at the San Diego Comic-Con. It’s a small version of Bag End from the #79003 LEGO The Hobbit Unexpected Gathering set. It includes 130 pieces and a Bilbo minifigure (same as in the #79000 LEGO The Hobbit Riddles for the Ring), and was also retailing for $40. The box has the Comic-Con logo, commemorating the special event. Again; if you have this set, don’t throw away the box! The set will keep it’s value, and unique place in LEGO’s history. 🙄

Allen took pictures of the LEGO Micro Scale Bag End set as well. Below are a couple of his pictures, and you can check his flickr gallery for more.

Again, if you would like to get one of the LEGO Micro Scale Bag End sets, eBay is your friend. This also goes for somewhere between $50-$100. You can check the listings here: SEE ON EBAY

So what do you think? How do you like the SDCC LEGO exclusives? Did you get either of them already? Or would you like to? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below! 😉

Wait a minute the bottom one on the eBay search is going for $2.25 not 80 plus. A really good deal I think, but the postage is probably $80 to their neighbour 😀
my post is coming together on my ipads notes section and is already a bit long and gos on a bit so major tweaking is needed (embarrassed emoticon here, make that two as I don’t know how to do an embarrassed emoticon 😀 )

    • admin August 5, 2013, 10:58 AM

Those are not final prices but current bids. Many auctions start low just to drum up interest. But I assure you none of the sets are going to go for $2.25. 😉

In general posts should be 500-1,000 words long. So if you are in that range you are good to go. Oh, and to make an embarrassed face just type oops between : : 😳

      • Acka bacca August 5, 2013, 12:57 PM

Oh forgot about bids 😳 (thanks for that, it might prove to be used a lot 😀 ) and I’ll try to keep to the word limit 😀

        • admin August 5, 2013, 1:23 PM

LOL! Yeah, a quite useful smiley. If you go over the word limit I will strangle you. Just kiddin’. 🙄

Ever since Fikko wrote that 3000 Contributors Page I’m dreading long posts!

            Uh-oh, I’m in trouble! 😀
Haha, actually though I don’t have as much trouble as I used to keeping my articles the right size!

            • admin August 5, 2013, 4:19 PM

Naw, you are usually good. There is a big difference between a post that goes over 1,000 words a little bit (which sometimes yours do, but I’m okay with that), and one that is 3 times as much! I found that out the hard way. Besides, I just learned this new technique from my sensei for strangling people, so I need an excuse to try it out on someone. 😈

              • gid617 August 6, 2013, 6:52 AM

                LOL! 😆
Yeah, I usually hit the thousands pretty easily… I’m forever having to pull huge chunks out of any essay with a word limit!

                • admin August 6, 2013, 9:29 AM

Yeah, I know what you mean! I can write a lot too! The thing though is that online people have very short attention span, so we don’t want to torture them… too much.

                  • Ike August 6, 2013, 10:47 AM

make it as long as you want. 🙂 if its a good article I’ll read it all 😉

                    • admin August 6, 2013, 11:51 AM

Ike, nice to hear that someone reads what we write! Thanks! 😀

  • Allen August 5, 2013, 11:08 AM

Thank you so much for featuring some of my images!

    • admin August 5, 2013, 11:11 AM

Allen, thanks for sharing them! They are very helpful! 🙂

  • Legoman640 August 5, 2013, 3:01 PM

It’s $129.99 on Amazon! (i’m talking about the mini stealth fighter)

    • admin August 5, 2013, 4:16 PM

Yeah, although Amazon is a good place to buy regular LEGO sets, it is not so good for exclusives and discountinued items as they are sold by Amazon affiliate sellers not directly by Amazon. 😕

  • Darth Awesome August 6, 2013, 4:05 AM

Why do I have to live in Australia! Thank goodness for ebay!

  • benny the padawan of the grand army August 6, 2013, 6:15 AM

they are a bit dear for $40 (about £35 where I live) for the size but everybody loves the exclusives.

correct me if im wrong but shouldn’t chima online be up

    • admin August 6, 2013, 9:28 AM

Yeah, exclusives are fun! As far as Chima, yeah it should be up, but it isn’t. If LEGO doesn’t upload them to their YouTube channel in the next couple of days, there is another website I can get them from and will use them here. 😉

  • Andy August 6, 2013, 11:04 AM

    OFF TOPIC ALERT!!!!
Yesterday I went to the LEGO store in Beachwood Ohio and they had only 2 of the Delorean left!!!I Bought one and also hot gorzans gorrila striker, gorzans speedor and the leaning tower of piza!!!Also on the LEGO store calendar they say till Sept 1-Oct 31 they are giving away the rare blue clone lieutenant that was given away at legoland that on eBay sells for $110 and up!You have to make a $50 purchase to receive him.Its kinda like that white boba fett a couple of years ago that lego gave away at the toy fair (maybe the comic con I don’t remember)that was selling for hundreds but then lego re-released boba as a May The 4th promotion making its value drop. The same will probably happen with the clone trooper

    • admin August 6, 2013, 11:57 AM

Andy, lots of awesomeness in your comment! First of all looks like you had some fun shopping! Keep us posted how you like your shiny new sets! 😛

Yeah, the DeLorean is selling like crazy! It was even out at the Online LEGO Shop few hours after it was first listed. But it is back again: DeLorean at the Online LEGO Shop
      icon

As far as the Star Wars minifig, yep, he is coming as a giveaway in September! Pretty cool! And yes, just like the White Boba Fett, although I would say the White Boba was cooler and more unique – that’s why he was selling for around $300 on eBay – but then LEGO flooded the market with their giveaway. 😉

      • Andy August 7, 2013, 1:01 PM

Ya,I hate shopping unless its LEGO shopping!!!Im building The Leaning Tower of Piza Today. The white boba is cooler but I like the clone because of the 2003 clone wars show. They looked so awesome there!!!

        • admin August 7, 2013, 9:10 PM

Yeah, tell me about it! I hate shopping too! Except for LEGO, of course. How do you like the Leaning Tower?

  • Andy August 8, 2013, 12:32 PM

    It’s awesome!
