LEGO Star Wars MicroFighters – the race

Below is a cute video with the new LEGO Star Wars MicroFighters. I guess it pretty much sums up what this miniature LEGO Star Wars ships are good for; some good old-fashioned silliness in a galaxy far-far away…

2014 LEGO Star Wars Micro Fighters

Watch Han Solo racing his beat up old Millennium Falcon against an Imperial Pilot’s tiny Star Destroyer. And check out those Dewbacks!  We haven’t seen a LEGO Dewback since one appeared in the #4501 LEGO Star Wars Mos Aisley Cantina over 10 years ago!

Fun, isn’t it? I can imagine doing lots of swooshing with these tiny ships. I think they are quite a bit more interesting than the discontinued LEGO Star Wars Planets sets, in fact there are a couple of them  I really like (the X-wing and the Falcon). As we have discussed previously, the LEGO Star Wars MicroFighters won’t be available in the USA until March (although other countries already carry them), but in the meantime you can check out the current LEGO Star Wars sets at the Online LEGO Shop.

yay! first comment! I liked the part when the storm trooper was drinking coffee then he saw them racing and his “ride” was going really slow. does anyone else besides me think that it was funny?

We will talk about The LEGO Movie tomorrow, as that’s when most people will see it. Friday is still a work/school day for most people. 😉

Love the video! I’ve seen it before now, but I think I’m going to try to get the Falcon and the AAT.

As for the Lego Movie, unless my brothers watch the whole thing on youtube or something, I;m not going to be able to see it until it comes in on Netflix 🙁 probably not until June or something. 🙁 🙁

The Dewback is in the new Mos Aisley Cantina set coming out in August. It’s a very nice set that comes with several new figures including a new Greedo and Walrus-man (The alien that attacked Luke and got it’s arm chopped off by Ben)! 😀
