LEGO Architecture Studio back in stock!

Just wanted to give a heads-up to those who have been waiting for the restock of the #21050 LEGO Architecture Studio set. The set sold out so fast, and it was out of stock for so long that a lot of LEGO fans feared it was discontinued for good, however now it is back! ๐Ÿ™‚

#21050 LEGO Architecture Studio

I did check with my contact at LEGO a month ago, who said that the LEGO Architecture Studio set is still active on their production-list and should be restocked. However even I started to loose faith when it continued showing as out of stock at the Online LEGO Shop. In the meantime the set, originally priced at $150, has been selling in the $250-$300 range on eBay and other market-places as people got desperate and got tired of waiting. ๐Ÿ™

LEGO Architecture Studio Content

As you may remember from the previous reviews (see links at the end of this post), the LEGO Architecture Studio set is very unique in its approach by catering to teachers and students of architecture and design. It also includes a very special book introducing concepts that architects and designers use in their line of work. However the set is also suitable for enthusiasts of architecture and design, not just professionals. If you are interested to learn more about the set, check out the previous reviews, and also the following video that gives you a good overview of how the LEGO Architecture Studio set looks and works.

If you would like to get the LEGO Architecture Studio set now that it is back in stock, it is available at the Online LEGO Shop. How long it is going to be around this time is not known, but my guess is that people won’t be waiting around this time and will get them right away. There is a limit of 5 sets per household, so if you want to put away a couple of them for investment purposes or for larger building projects (those all white and clear elements are gorgeous!) you might consider that too. Here is the link to get it: BUY LEGO ARCHITECTURE STUDIO

So what do you think? Are you one of those people who missed the set the first time around and couldn’t wait to see it back in stock? If you have the set already, have you been experimenting with it? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Steven, the LEGO Architecture Studio set has been sold out at B&N for months, and it was never restocked. Some local B&N locations may still carry them, so it is worth to check, but in my experience and from hearing from many other people who were looking for this set, it was nowhere to be found… except on eBay for inflated prices.

That’s amazing here in the Chicago market I saw them over the weekend on their end cap display. If the snow stop in the next century I will head over with the kids and give you an update.

Steven, if you do have them locally you might consider them for investment purposes. eBay sellers have been making a killing on this set, at least doubling their money every time they sell one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Admin by the way I snagged 5 sets, wife now wants to kill me, lol. I will see what happens on ebay, if so thanks for the heads up.

You did???!!! LOL! You have to smuggle those sets in while the missus is not looking… haven’t you learned that yet? ๐Ÿ˜‰

You might consider waiting until it sells out again at the Online LEGO Shop before starting listing them on eBay. Or just list one to test the waters. Listing is free on eBay right now, however keep in mind that they take a 10% cut when it sells. Plus there is PayPal’s ~3%. Shipping should be around $20. I sold one of these sets earlier this year, that’s how I know. ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s a shame they don’t sell this in the UK. ๐Ÿ™

I thought this article could slip in for this topic https://www.smh.com.au/opinion/lego-makes-friends-and-enemies-20140306-348vy.html

don’t worry Kai, I’m not so great at them either, actually I don’t even really know how to do it. ๐Ÿ™

    • Chi-bacca March 6, 2014, 2:12 AM

Is this about Mattel buying Mega bloks? I’m kinda guessing by what the link says ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Hรฅkan March 6, 2014, 7:53 AM

I’d guess it’s about criticism at the Friends line, although it’s not really new, by now…

        • admin March 6, 2014, 10:13 AM

Hakan, the article is actually really good. Read the twist at the end. ๐Ÿ˜‰

        • Chi-bacca March 6, 2014, 1:59 PM

          DOH
I feel kinda stupid that I didn’t think of that ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • ninja of stealth March 6, 2014, 12:01 PM

that was actually interesting, but I thought about that, not all girls love pink and purple and do dress up (as some would say.) I think that some people are just stereotyping girls, and they think that all girls that like LEGO practically HAVE to like LEGO friends (and I’d say, dude, you should see my sisters room. its full of Ninjago sets man!) does anyone get what I’m trying to say here?

    • admin March 6, 2014, 12:25 PM

The issue is that both ways is stereotyping. Forcing girls who are not inclined to wear pink and be into traditionally whirly-girly things is just as intrusive as forcing a girl who does like to wear pink and play with dolls into science projects.

Children naturally grativate towards the interests they have. The problem is that most adults, even with the best of intentions, try to force their own agendas on their kids, completely missing what their children are naturally best at. And the ironic part is that feminists often end up with kids who prefer traditional gender roles, and parents who are more traditional get the tomboys. Life is very funny that way.

    • Majestic Kai Fan March 6, 2014, 2:39 PM

Yeah, in part of the article it stated that LEGO City had 100% male minifigures, which isn’t entirely true because I’ve seen a few City sets with female figs. And I’m a girl and I have tonne’s of ninjago sets.

  • ninja of stealth March 7, 2014, 12:25 PM

they should have kids vote for what they want ๐Ÿ˜‰
