I forgot to mention at the beginning of the month that the 2014 LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets are now available at the Online LEGO Shop. The sets were highly anticipated by LEGO TMNT fans and we have talked about them before, but now that we have better pictures and the sets are in stores it is a good time for an update. 🙂

    • Lloydguy April 7, 2014, 10:28 AM

On the Shredder’s Lair set, is that a Lord Garmadon top body piece I see on the footsoldier? I already have it, or I might have considered getting that set! 😛

    • admin April 7, 2014, 11:44 AM

Yep, it is the same piece! Good eyes! 😀

  • Lorca Strand April 7, 2014, 12:39 PM

This is the first time I’ve seen the film version of the Turtle Lair Invasion. Where did you find the picture?

    • admin April 7, 2014, 12:57 PM

Lorca, all the new pictures were posted by Amazon France. They are also uploaded to the Brickset database. The set picture is also available (meaning not the box-art but the actual set), but I decided not to add it to this post as it already had so many pictures.

Ah, finally! The Undersea Chase and the Lair Rescue look great, I really want the Lair Rescue. 😀 But I wish that the other 3 (Bike Escape, Mutation Chamber, T-Rawket) weren’t so overpriced (I think $10, 20, 30). 😕
As for the three movie sets, I have not heard much about the movie. Does anyone know anything about it? I just know I will not be getting any of those sets, the figures look horrible (not the details, the overall appearance). 😐

    • admin April 8, 2014, 9:26 AM

I don’t know any thing about the movie, but I agree; the figures are not very appealing… 😕

      • Meneldur April 8, 2014, 11:01 AM

I’ve seen the trailer. Some aspects of it look good. My guess is it will be a hit at the box office however after the release it will be dubbed a flop. Personally I’m not interested in seeing it.
I’ll just stick with the LEGO sets. Even if the film’s a flop the LEGO sets are usually pretty cool.

BTW, I just got the Dol Guldur Battle, Laketown Chase, and Pirate Ship Ambush. All I need is Orthanc and I’ll have all the LOTR.

        • Meneldur April 8, 2014, 11:04 AM

Well, until the new LOTR and Hobbit sets are released. I hear there’s a Galadriel vs. Witch King set, a Battle of Five Armies set, and another Laketown set coming. Can’t wait for these new LOTR sets.
Admin, I’ve been busy lately, but I’ll try to finish an article I’ve been working on about the summer Marvel sets and send it to you.

          • admin April 8, 2014, 11:31 AM

Okay, if you can send it within the next week I will publish it. If it takes longer let me know as I was planning to write about them myself, but if you want to cover them I will wait for you – I just don’t want to wait too long. 😉

        • admin April 8, 2014, 11:30 AM

Yeah, I’m pretty much the same; some movies just don’t interest me but I still like the LEGO sets. Nice LOTR collection you got there! Those sets are all really sweet! 😀

          • Meneldur April 9, 2014, 8:49 AM

Yeah, I know. I might have to get a couple more Council of Elrond sets. I love the colors! I’ll try to send my article to you this Friday. I’ve almost finished it.
BTW, I think these TMNT sets are better than the first wave.

            • admin April 9, 2014, 10:33 AM

Yeah, this weekend would for as far as sending in the article. That would allow me to publish it next week. I also really like the colors of the Council of Elrond set. In fact that’s what I like about it the most! And of course the minifigs. 😛

  • ninja of stealth April 8, 2014, 12:35 PM

if I got one of these sets I would definitely (no question about it.) would get Kari’s bike escape, awesome bike and awesome minifigure.

  • Zubashi April 12, 2014, 3:28 PM

    It’s Vernon Fenwick, actually.
And liking the look of the sets, the movie not so much.
And the cartoon sets are awesome!
