LEGO Star Wars Darth Revan & more…

Even though Star Wars Day was yesterday, the LEGO Star Wars promotion is still happening for the rest of today, with some exclusive offers, which includes a free LEGO Star Wars poster, a free Darth Revan minifigure and a selection of LEGO sets on sale. 🙂

LEGO Star Wars May the 4th Sale

Just in case you haven’t seen it yet,  here is a picture of the Star Wars poster you will receive with any LEGO Star Wars purchase, depicting the epic fight between father and son, with a weathered look to remind you that all of this happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

Also, here is a better picture of the Darth Revan minifigure from LEGO’s website. You can get Darth Revan free with any LEGO Star Wars purchase of $75 or more. Pretty awesome looking, isn’t he?

If you are not planning to shop during the promotion, but would like to get Darth Revan or the LEGO Star Wars poster, they should be available on the secondary market. I have seen Darth Revan selling for about $20 already, which is quite reasonable for an exclusive minifigure. And if you do want to take advantage of the special offers before they are over, visit the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

That is an awesome minifigure! I would try to get it but $75 is no small amount of cash. Still it is a great figure.

    • admin May 5, 2014, 11:04 AM

You can get him on the secondary market for around $20, probably even less. 😉

Yeah I might do that because KOTOR was one of my favorite games (I still play it occasionally) and now that LEGO has finally made a Revan fig I feel the need to get it but I just don’t collect as much Star Wars as I used to; more into LOTR and Batman now…

Maybe just keep it sealed for a little while longer until you are able to make a firm decision. I do know the feeling; there are some LEGO sets/polybags that I have opened up even though I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to keep them. Then I regretted it later because I lost the resale value. This usually only happens with sets/polybags I get as gifts. With sets I buy for myself I already know I like it. 🙂

I got the minifigure and been thinking should I keep it in the bag or take it out. What to do ? I know it would be more valuable in the bag.

    • admin May 5, 2014, 12:29 PM

I always say that LEGO is for playing. Having said that, if there is a minifigure or set you got but not really interested in, it might be a good idea to sell them and get the ones that you really want. It is a good way to fund your hobby. But just to have a minifig or set around in its original packaging for no particular reason is just sad. Poor minifig. So I would say if you are a SW fan, like the minifig and would like to keep him, open the bag! 😛

  • ninja of stealth May 5, 2014, 12:38 PM

yeah you should take it out of the bag, that’s what I’m going to do! I’m soon going to get the Republic gunship!!!!!!!! (I’ve been waiting for this thing ever since before it came out!!!!!! 😀 ) I had a little victory dance in my head when I bought it. 🙄

  • NinjagoNerd36 May 5, 2014, 1:26 PM

Since I know who Darth Revan actually is in the SW universe… I WANTZ! 😛 Sadly, $75 is a bit much…

Hey, off topic question here. So, I’ve seen that that Ghostbuster’s set is coming out June 1st. I will have the money to buy on June 5 and also hope to get the upcoming free set for June. You don’t think it will sell out in 5 days do you?

    • admin May 5, 2014, 2:08 PM

Kim, it is absolutely possible that the set will sell out in 5 days. In fact, I expect it. The Mars Rover sold out in less than a day, so did the Back to the Future set. Now, I’m sure that they are going to restock later for at least a second round, but how long that will take I don’t know – probably a few weeks. If I would really want the set, and you know you will have the money a few days later, I would just use a credit card and pay it off later, or beg, borrow, steal… naw… didn’t mean to say that, did I?

    • BLProductions May 5, 2014, 2:11 PM

I don’t think the Ghostbusters will be a limited Release like the Curiosity Rover. Also, the Minecraft: the End set is going to come out shortly after Ghostbusters. So it shouldn’t sell out, but maybe go out of stock. As for the free set, are you talking about the Balloon cart? You need a $75+ order. 😉

  • legostuff71 May 5, 2014, 2:14 PM

I bought the Jabba the hutt’s sailbarge. I always wanted it even though the reviews were mixed. I can always make it better. That’s the LEGO way. I can’t wait for the summer wave( star wars sets) to come. I would do a flip but , I might put myself in traction for a month.

    • Kim May 5, 2014, 2:18 PM

Just checked, I was wrong about that price. It’s $50. Looks like I’ll have to get more than one thing. No complaints here!

  • Kim May 5, 2014, 2:14 PM

Oooo decisions decisions. This is tough. I guess there are ways to get it sooner. I do definitely want the balloon cart, as it will go nicely when I get the Fairground Mixer. I had thought the ghostbusters one was in the 70.00 range but I might be mistaken about that. Well I better make sure i can secure that set then! Thanks for the advice!

    • admin May 5, 2014, 2:18 PM

Kim, the Ghostbusters set is $50 in the USA, so you can fit in there another nice little set if you would like to meet the minimum for the freebie. Also, you would get free shipping if you meet the minimum. 😉

      • Kim May 5, 2014, 2:18 PM

Ha we posted at the same time. I can think of something that would be nice to pick up on top that one so we’re good!

      • abed May 7, 2014, 7:08 AM

you can get it cheaper i believe legoscanner
        you’re welcome 🙂

        • admin May 7, 2014, 10:17 AM

Hm… that’s just an Amazon price-comparison website. Brickset has the same feature, or people can just go directly to Amazon to check the prices themselves. Currently Darth Revan sells on Amazon for $25. 😐

  • BLProductions May 5, 2014, 2:31 PM

Darth Revan is AWESOME! The Old Republic is the only SW besides the movies I tolerate. And I refuse to tolerate Episodes 7 and up, b/c it is wrong. 😡
That poster though, those lines on Luke’s face kinda ruined it. 🙁
Also, my brother said my mom bought some stuff on Lego Shop that got her Revan and the poster. She said she bought a Yoda Watch. 😕
BTW, the official image of the City Arctic Ice Breaker is on Brickset. And I found another picture of that Arctic Plane set. Long link. 😐

  • CaptainChespin May 6, 2014, 12:41 AM

    The minifigure looks awesome! 😀

  • Darkon May 6, 2014, 9:47 PM

The irony is that Darth Revan no longer exists because Disney declared that all of the games are non-cannon. Given what a mess the expanded universe is I’m not surprised that they got cut out.

    • admin May 7, 2014, 10:14 AM

Yeah, I have thought of that too! Like the whole EU got swallowed up in a black hole! I guess that could be part of the new story. 🙄

  • abed May 7, 2014, 7:07 AM

Awesome! as soon as it get’s available (here in holland) gonna find the cheapest seller

  • JayVendetta July 23, 2014, 11:07 AM

    Ok… CONFESSION TIME!
I am a HUGE fan of Star Wars and I’m not afraid to show it! 🙂
    Yay!
Anyway… Anna and @Darkon, you’re right. The new movie interferes with some if the already made video games and movies/TV shows and comics. Disney™ doesn’t apparently have the heart for die-hard Star Wars fans to affix everything together to amass a sense-making, satisfying SW universe. Sheez. Nuff said. –.–

    • JayVendetta July 23, 2014, 11:09 AM

*just to clarify I am mainly talking about EP VII and VIII because Disney™ now owns Lucasfilms™ and LucasArts™ *

    • admin July 23, 2014, 11:12 AM

In one sense it is a good thing that Disney bought SW. This way if the Disney movies flop, then we can just say that those were not “real” SW movies anyway and stick with the originals. 🙄
