2014 LEGO summer sets on Amazon

As we have discussed before, the LEGO summer sets have been released and available at the Online LEGO Shop (see: What’s New at the Online LEGO Shop). For those of you who prefer to shop on Amazon however, there is good news; many of the summer LEGO sets are now also listed on Amazon. With Amazon the qualification for free shipping is lower than with LEGO’s own website ($35 instead of $75), and also there is no sales-tax included shipping to most states. So if you prefer Amazon, here is your chance to pick up some of the summer LEGO sets. 🙂

LEGO Benny's Spaceship Review

Please note that prices on Amazon can fluctuate quite a bit and also items can sell out fast, making them available only from Amazon affiliates with higher prices. So to make sure the item has the “Qualifies for Free Shipping” notification and the standard LEGO price. These are sold directly by Amazon and not by third parties. Also, on Amazon you can add other non-LEGO items to your purchase to meet the free shipping requirement. I regularly buy books, videos, ink-cartridges, and even food items and nutritional supplements on Amazon. With low pricing, no tax, and free shipping, it ends up being cheaper than shopping locally.

Amazon has a huge selection of LEGO sets, both current releases and discontinued sets, so take the time to look around even besides the sets I mentioned above. Oh, and let me know what you got! 😉

awesome! but I do prefer shopping From the LEGO store because sometimes you get awesome free stuff! 😀

Yeah, they both have their plusses, so it jsut depends. I shop at both places. LEGO = VIP points and freebies, and Amazon = no tax, lower threshold for free shipping, and the ability to combine with non-LEGO purchases. Choices are a good thing! 😛

I choose Amazon if I can get prime shipping but actually I have to pay tax. In California you have to pay tax on purchases from Amazon if they are not Marketplace sellers. I did just order the balloon cart from amazon though for $15 including shipping. So excited!!!

Oh, nice to hear that you were able to get it! I got mine on the weekend with my order of the Mixels Series 2 and the new Minecraft set. It is a very sweet little set. 🙂

We will be paying taxes soon on Amazon purchases also here in Florida as a distribution center is going in sometime this year. I try to make all my purchases before that! 😀

Admin, do you by any chance know when the Lord of the Rings sets will be leaving shelves? I’ve got a watchful eye on a few of them–only need three to complete the entire 2012-13 wave.

Ryan, that would be hard to tell, as it really depends on the marketplace. Some stores will have it much longer than others, depending on local demand, overstock, etc. I’m pretty sure they will be around though until at least the end of the year.
