These appear to be some of the better licensed sets of this year. Interesting minifigs, too bad all the ones I want come in expensive sets, and I have no money to spare. ๐Ÿ˜• Really like the Quinjet, lots of Dark Blue and the new motorcycle in Black. There is one other image we’re missing though. It’s currently titled “Burglary at the Hydra Fortress.” It definitely exists, there was a picture of it in the German Toy magazine. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Also, admin, I’m going to guess that the Hulk Buster comes with the Hulk, not the Julk. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • admin January 26, 2015, 11:01 AM

LOL! I figures Julk sounded better. Just kidding. Had it fixed. I really like the Quinjet too. Nice shaping and colors. I didn’t want to take pictures from the German Toy magazine as they are already so small and it would look even smaller here. But I’m sure we will get a better picture soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ughh…I want these so bad. They finally got Natasha’s hair and Hawkeye right. Avenger’s tower looks great, so does the new Quinjet. Then again, the only one that comes close to the golden 10 cents per piece price is the Hydra Showdown, but that’s the fault of licenses and large pieces. (Also did Thor accidentally bump his head on the sun? The darker tan alternative to his hair piece would look so much better.)

Too expensive. I am cutting back my LEGO collection , just because LEGO has gotten to greedy in their business decisions ( I know the parts and the 10 cents thing. ) even that isn’t entirely true. How can kids get that kind of money? The problem with big businesses ,is that they get big to fast and they start add (prices) or changing things . LEGO has a great product ,but, the prices have changed. Soon customers will be paying attention to that and possible stop buying because of that .I know LEGO is very big right now, but it could start a snowball effect. Customers start buying less because of the prices( I see it happening already).

LEGO is not the cheapest toy, however it is one of the few toys that will last for generations and will keep its value or even increase in value. When a kid is ready for college, they can easily pay for some major expenses by reselling their LEGO collection. Or, if they choose to, they can save it for their own children and even grand-children. I even know people who paid for their way through college by buying and selling LEGO sets on the side.

So LEGO is not just about immediate gratification, and it is not just a fad. The company has been around for a very longtime. They know what they are doing and they are definitely offering a quality product. And from a kid’s perspective, they can pick and chose the cheaper sets that fits into their allowance, and ask for some bigger ones for Christmas and birthdays. I also know parents who involve their kids in their own LEGO business. This way they learn what it takes to run a store, as well as the value of money, budgeting, inventory, etc. Not to speak of families finding time to create and build together and thus spend quality time away from electronic gadgets (something not just kids but parents are also guilty of).

So we are not just talking about 10 cents a piece, or 15 cents a piece, or whatever the price is. We are talking about a long-term investment that can inspire quality time for families and learning experiences for children that can last for generations, or can be turned into serious cash when the need arises. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m going to get all of them.

  • LegoGeek January 26, 2015, 3:04 PM

looks like the ulron in the tower is the original before he builds himself. You know the broken iron man suit.

  • Carbo January 26, 2015, 3:22 PM

These look like some of the best LEGO Marvel sets made so far. I really like the Quinjet and the Hulkbuster.

I know the value of the LEGO sets and mini figs.(I see it online) , but, do I want sell my LEGO sets just to make enough money to buy more sets. It doesn’t make sense . I guess I am a little discouraged about saving money ( I don’t get a lot ) . Maybe it’s me that’s becoming greedy.(the want over powers he need). I hope I’m not the only one. A friend told me one time ” is to learn to appreciate on what you have and not on what you can’t have.” It’s not easy thing to do . ……..HI, I’M LEGOSTUFF71 AND I AM ADDICTED TO LEGO.

You don’t have to sell all your sets to support the hobby. Definitely not the ones you would like to keep. A lot of LEGO fans (including myself) fully support our hobby by selling minifigs, or parts of sets that we don’t want, or buy sets and part them out, or buy on sale and sell for full price, etc. I have a strict rule of only spending money on LEGO that I make by selling LEGO. I have been supporting my hobby this way for several years with no problems. I don’t buy everything as I have limited space, plus I don’t want to be flooded with LEGO as I have other hobbies as well, but I can buy everything I really want with no financial strains. This is how most LEGO fans support their hobby on the long term. With a little planning it is really not that difficult. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I like the hulk buster and the avengers tower. Unfortunatly, the hulk buster coming out now means that the awesome one on lego ideas has almost no chance of being produced

  • legostuff71 January 26, 2015, 4:26 PM

yeah, and if LEGO didn’t get license to do STAR WARS in the early “90”‘s ,LEGO was already hurting for business ( there sales were not great) . Maybe its the licensing of products is what makes things so expensive?

    • admin January 26, 2015, 6:31 PM

Licensed sets are usually more expensive, but not always. Personally I prefer the non-licensed themes as LEGO has much more room for creativity, but I do understand that LEGO needs the licensed sets to keep them popular and successful. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • legostuff71 January 26, 2015, 4:30 PM

Thanks for the comment( ignore last comment on STAR WARS)

Hey! Nice, Admin! And btw, the SAT went well. It was long but not overly grueling.
I really like these new sets. I especially like the new Hulk. And the Hulkbuster armor is fantastic. Although, why is LEGO including stud shooters in like every set? As if the clichรฉ technique “flick firing” isn’t enough now we have stud shooters for surveillance cameras…

    • admin January 26, 2015, 6:36 PM

Congratulations on the SAT! When LEGO releases some new functional element (like a shooter), they often flood the sets with them, so people have a chance to pick them up in different sets and themes. As they become more wide-spread they will reduce them to just the sets where they make the most sense. So this year we will see stud-shooters and those clear jumper thingies in everything! ๐Ÿ™„

I’m really looking forward to seeing how Marvel’s cinematic universe unfolds. Currently, Andy Serkis has joined the cast of Avengers 2, playing the part of Ulysses Klaw, a villain from the Black Panther comics.
Then it looks like they’re tying in Wakanda, another Black Panther character. Possibly Doctor Strange could appear. Spider man is back and Marvel has planned for him to appear in the third Captain America.
They are just packing so many neat characters into the films and blending it in so well. I can’t wait to collect these sets and the films!

    • admin January 26, 2015, 6:38 PM

Yes, I agree about the character blending. Marvel has been around so long, and there has been so many stories and characters. In comics this is not a problem, but to pull them together into feature-films must not be easy. Good observation. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Ninja of Stealth January 27, 2015, 1:28 PM

some of those are cool but I SERIOSLY don’t need anymore vehicles. I’m not two impressed this time around because like I said, there all vehicles, except for stark tower, which is pretty cool. Well, I better pick up a Star-lord minifigure pretty soon. Man I want one so bad! When will these sets be released? Summerish?

    • Ninja of Stealth January 28, 2015, 2:45 PM

okay, okay, I’ll admit it, I WANT THE HULK ( Julk ๐Ÿ™„ ) BUSTER!!! Plus the Stark tower is awesome. I guess I just had to look at them twice. Also I’m getting the star blaster showdown! I’m finally getting a star-lord minifigure!

      • admin January 28, 2015, 4:48 PM

Oh, that’s nice! I really like Star-Lord! BTW, Julk is Hulk’s younger sister. Yeah, super-secret insider info.

  • Micho January 28, 2015, 10:47 AM

I like my old Quinjet better, thats not to say I don’t want both LOL. But I LOOOOVE that Avengers tower, as I recently came across my very own Malibu Mansion Attack, I would love to combine those two along with the Hulk’s Hellicarrier Breakout set to make an Avengers Hub, should be sweet!

    • admin January 28, 2015, 10:50 AM

Yeah, the Avenger’s Tower is my favorite this year. It turned out really good. Also all those trans-blue windows are going to be very useful. It would look great with the Malibu Mansion! ๐Ÿ˜›
