LEGO Technic Mercedes-Benz contest

There is a very exciting LEGO Technic contest happening right now that you may want to participate in. The contest is done by the LEGO picture-sharing website ReBrick.com. Below you will find all the information you need about how to enter this challenging but fun LEGO contest. 🙂

LEGO Technic Contest

One day during the early 1920’s Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler sat down in Germany and agreed to merge their two car companies into one and start producing Mercedes-Benz cars. They had each made their own versions of the world’s first petrol-driven cars back in 1886. Within years, Gottlieb Daimler sold his first truck – almost 120 years ago! Some of the first Mercedes-Benz branded diesel powered trucks were built in Stuttgart in 1923. Today, in 2015, half of all trucks on the German roads are Mercedes-Benz trucks. Just imagine how Karl and Gottlieb would react if they were time-warped from 1925 to 2015 to witness just how big, fast and capable the Mercedes-Benz trucks have become 90 years later! What would they say if they could see what their vision has led to?

This is a contest that will require some serious building skills. I don’t think I will be entering myself as I don’t have the skills, nor enough Technic parts, but I’m looking forward to see the entries from others. Good luck!

Technic is not my strong suit, but I don’t typically do Lego contests anyway. The results should be cool to look at.

I’ll be sending this to my brother as the resident technic builder in the family. Although I have plenty of parts myself my building skills with technic are rubbish compared to the normal lego system. Tend to use technic purely for lightweight scaffolding inside large castle structures or when doing odd angles for building work.

Wishing your brother the best of luck in the contest! 😀
