Where to find LEGO Dimensions instructions

LEGO Dimensions definitely turned out to be an exciting game, and I believe it will continue to do so as LEGO is adding more expansion packs to unlock new features. As we have discussed previously (see links at the end of this post), both the LEGO Dimension Starter Pack and the LEGO Dimensions add-on packs come with physical LEGO sets. This is a great way to blend real life and virtual play. However one frustration LEGO fans have been facing is that the expansion packs do not contain building instructions for the small LEGO models. Of course there are instructions within the game itself, but if you are away from your gaming device, or if you are a collector who is only interested in the sets and not the game, you are stuck with a handful of elements you didn’t know how to put together.

LEGO Dimensions Website

LEGO fans started sharing building instructions on various social media sites, so those who didn’t have access to the instructions from the game could still build the models contained in the expansion packs. LEGO recently remedied this situation by adding links to the instructions from the main LEGO Dimensions website, but it is a bit difficult to locate them. So here are the steps you need to take to how to find them:

LEGO Dimensions Instructions Page

Go to the official LEGO Dimensions website (just click on the link) and select Products from the tabs on top of the page. Here choose the LEGO Dimensions set you would like to get the instructions for. Once the product page is open, you will see three blue icons below the image of the set. The first one is to buy the set, the second is to add it to your wish-list, and the third is to get the building instructions for the set.

LEGO Dimensions Instructions How To

Once you click on the blue icon for the building instructions, you will be taken to the LEGO Customer Service page where the instructions for the particular set you were interested in is already pulled up. Download the PDF instructions from here. Alternately, you can go the LEGO Customer Service page directly, but in this case you will have to type in the set number yourself to find the instructions. Please note that you will usually find several PDF instructions for each set, because LEGO Dimensions packs come with a number of alternate models. So you can download just the model you are interested in, or all of alternate models as well.

LEGO Dimensions Instructions Details

Although getting the instructions online is not the best solution as you still have to be at your computer to download them, but at least you don’t need to have access to the game to get them. Hopefully in future LEGO Dimensions packs instructions will be included with the sets, but if not, you can always get them this way.

LEGO Dimensions Alternate Builds

On another note, I also thought to mention that now that we are getting close to the holidays, several retailers are offering special prices on the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack and the LEGO Dimensions add-on packs. Amazon in particular has been offering discounts on all gaming platform versions of the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack, and Target stores have been having a buy-two-get-one-free on the add-on packs. So it is a good idea to keep an eye on these and other retailers.

LEGO Dimensions Expansion Packs

Amazon.com also got a really helpful dedicated section just for LEGO Dimensions that guides you through the process of starting with the game and finding all the packs that you want. All the currently available LEGO Dimensions packs are listed in this section, and you can also pre-order some of the future packs. Here is the direct link where you can find everything: LEGO DIMENSIONS SHOP ON AMAZON

And if you like to shop directly from LEGO to support the company and to collect VIP Points, the LEGO Dimensions Starter Packs and first and second wave of LEGO Dimensions add-on packs are now available here: LEGO DIMENSIONS AT THE ONLINE LEGO SHOP

So what do you think? Did you get any of the LEGO Dimensions packs already? Which one of the add-on packs do you like the most? And have you been playing the game? How do you like it so far? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

You don’t have to download all the instructions, Brickinstructions.com has instructions for all the currently released Dimensions sets, including all three models: http://lego.brickinstructions.com/en/lego_instructions/theme/lego_dimensions 😀 I’ll be using that if I ever bother to get any of these packs.
Also, there’s a post on Brickset listing 2016 sets that will be released on December 1st. Mostly cheap sets, good for Christmas, I assume. 🙂

Yeah, I have noticed those new sets at the Online LEGO Shop, but since they won’t be available until the 1st, I will wait to write about them. Also, most of them have no pictures, so there is not much to look at. I have used BrickInstructions before, but I found that their images are kind of on the small side, so I rather use LEGO’s own PDFs, if available. But yes, it is a good option.

I LOVE the Dr. Who one, it is amazing! If you want the full experience without ALL the characters you should get; Cragger, Wicked Witch, Wonder Woman, Crusty, Dr. Who, Marty McFly, Unikitty, Gimli, Wu, Gamer Kid, Portal, Scooby Doo, Peter Vankman, and Cyberman. Sorry for being so long, but that should get you all the powers and worlds. All those packs would cost $280
