LEGO Ninjago Season 6 – Episode 55 & 56

LEGO Ninjago Season 6 has already started airing on Cartoon Network at the beginning of January. The overall title of this season is called Skybound, referring to the sky pirates that will be featured throughout the season. Below you can watch the trailer for this season, as well as the first two episodes; LEGO Ninjago Season 6 Episode 55 – Infamous and LEGO Ninjago Season 6 Episode 56 – Public Enemy Number One. Enjoy! 🙂

LEGO NINJAGO EPISODE 55 – INFAMAOUS: In this episode the ninja are treated as celebrities with appearances on television and in magazines, and followed by paparazzi and raving fans. However their fortune turns around when they find themselves framed for performing criminal activities by a mysterious djinn…

NINJAGO EPISODE 56 – PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER ONE: In this episode the ninja are on the run from law enforcement who declared the ninja as public enemy number one. At the same time the ninja also tries to find out the identity of the mysterious djinn and why he is after them…

Looks like the whole world turned against our ninja friends, and at this point they are unsure of what to do or how to respond. Although overall these first two episodes were quite dark and desperate, there were some bright moments too, like Jay still having a crush on Nya, and the young purple ninja’s heroic effort to help. For your reference I’m also listing the names of future episodes in this season:

  • LEGO Ninjago Episode 57 – Enkrypted
  • LEGO Ninjago Episode 58 – Misfortune Rising
  • LEGO Ninjago Episode 59 – On a Wish and Prayer
  • LEGO Ninjago Episode 60 – My Dinner with Nadakhan
  • LEGO Ninjago Episode 61 – Wishmasters
  • LEGO Ninjago Episode 62 – The Last Resort
  • LEGO Ninjago Episode 63 – Operation Land Ho!
  • LEGO Ninjago Episode 64 – The Way Back

So what do you think? Did you watch Episode 55 and 56? How did you like them? What do you think will happen next? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

You said that this has started airing on cartoon network. Is this true for the U.S.? If yes, then at what time?

    • admin January 9, 2016, 12:19 PM

Yes, in the US. I don’t have CN, but my understanding is that the episodes have been airing on Saturdays.

      • Legozebra January 9, 2016, 3:51 PM

Actually, these aired only in Asia on Saturday and Sunday every weekend, and don’t air in the US until late Feb/March (US air date unclear). These YouTube videos are from a user who lives in Asia who has posted them up early…

On a side note, just watched Enkrypted, and it was the best out of the three released so far IMO. Giving Nadakhan a noble purpose is amazing and I commend the Hagenman brothers for it.

        • kai January 9, 2016, 5:03 PM

Yeah, that is awesome and he’s one of the better villains thus far IMO, hope they don’t kill him…

I don’t see Ninjago showing on the Cartoon Network as of 1/9/16. Is it showing in the US?

  • rainey January 9, 2016, 2:58 PM

It’s just a personal opinion of course, and I understand the concept of marketing, but my reaction to all this wrap around Lego culture is to resent it. I think this advertising juggernaut disguised as cartoons takes away from the experience of building. And I think it’s detrimental to children’s imaginations.

If anything, it is going to depress my impulse to buy Legos because I can’t support the assault on our kids. ::she said as her grandson watched the Nexo Kights in the background::

Wait, your last sentence makes me think the whole comment is a joke. If so, I laughed. Also, if it’s not, it’s kind of hard to believe because, although I do like your vocabulary, your capitalization is kind of… Bad… It get’s a little better, but first of all your name makes me think “This is a child” and so do some parts of what you said. I mean, I started watching this series when I was 8, and even then, my name was capitalized.

      • admin January 9, 2016, 6:02 PM

Rainey is a regular here, and a grandmother. She keeps us all in line. 😉

      • rainey January 9, 2016, 7:10 PM

My name is a nickname my parents gave to me 68 years ago. My choices about capitalizing, like my opinion, are mine and I take responsibility for them.

        • The Golden Ninja (Sarah) January 9, 2016, 7:19 PM

I hope what I said didn’t offend you. I was just kind of confused. But It’s not that I don’t like your nickname. Mine is (My name)Beestinger. Rainy sounds cute 🙂

          • rainey January 10, 2016, 12:09 PM

You are certainly just as much entitled to post your candid opinions as I am. No harm done. They are all no more than opinions, after all.

    • admin January 9, 2016, 6:00 PM

Hm… I don’t think you need to worry. Kids come with imagination built into them. When I was a kid I loved building with LEGO and I loved movies too. If anything, movies gave me new ideas to run with. LEGO movies are actually much better than most of the crap they show kids these days. 🙂

      • rainey January 10, 2016, 12:20 PM

You know, I can’t say I agree on that score.

To demonstrate how to build something is one thing. In time, a kid can accumulate a reservoir of building techniques and pull them together into constructions as their own ideas mature. But to give the minifigs personalities probably overwhelms a kid’s own vision in all but extraordinarily self-possessed individuals. To assign relationships between the characters and voice their goals and modi operand is to leave precious little for kids to add themselves.

As a retired early childhood person myself, I find it all smothering and counterproductive to what the Lego brand once was to me. I don’t doubt that it will be beneficial for sales but neither do I doubt that it flies in the face of Ole Kirk Chrisiansen’s concept of leg godt. I also find it to be pretty crass commercialism that is so unnecessary given that it’s a completely family held company that has made everyone in that family incredibly wealthy already.

But, as I said before, it’s an opinion. There’s nothing I can do about it but lose my taste for the product.

        • admin January 10, 2016, 2:01 PM

I think the crux of the matter is balance and moderation. To expose children to new ideas, concepts and stories will stimulate their imagination. Our mom was very strict on how much TV we could watch; only on the weekends, no more than one hour. My siblings and I incorporated the shows we watched and the characters we learned about into our own play. And we also read – a lot. I could see though, if a kid is glued to the tube every single day, it can dull their brains. So yeah, I agree on limiting screen time.

In addition, kids are different, just like adults. Some have a very active imagination where they can basically come up with everything themselves. Other kids like to start from a pre-given concept (or in the case of LEGO, a kit), then they will transform that further. And yet other children are collectors from the very beginning (when it comes to LEGO); they like to build sets, but they won’t free-play with them. However they may be very creative in other areas like arts, sports, etc. Building and playing with LEGO is not for everyone, and not everyone approaches LEGO the same way. Some people are inspired by it, some don’t. Some kids build, some kids destroy, some spend hours building, some quickly build then play, some focus on creating stories with minifigs, some build machines and robots with bricks, some kids get inspired, some kids get frustrated. That’s just how it is…

In my experience, parents who played with LEGO as kids themselves are the most enthusiastic to introduce their own children to the hobby, but they can also be the most restrictive. They want their kids to enjoy the hobby the same way they did. This, of course, comes from good intention, but can also have a negative effect. Rather than allowing their children to discover the magic of LEGO on their own, they want their kids to play the same way they did. But kids often have very different way of enjoying things than their parents. Yes, they come from the same family, but they are still individuals. My dad is very much into LEGO Technic, so some of the first LEGO sets we got were LEGO Technic sets. I had practically zero interest in them, and didn’t learn to appreciate LEGO until I discovered minifigs. To my dad (and for many people in his generation), minifigs degrade LEGO, because now the whole system is locked into their scale, instead of just pure building. TO me minifigs opened up a whole new realm of play and creativity. Most of my family are LEGO fans but we approach the hobby VERY differently.

Good points. Thanks for a good discussion.

Yes, discussions like this are always stimulating. So thanks for sharing! 🙂

  • The Golden Ninja (Sarah) January 9, 2016, 5:15 PM

Just so you know, your part 1 of episode 56 is deleted.

Thanks for mentioning that. I got it replaced. 🙂

First does anyone have links to 59 and 60?
    ***Possible Spoilers***
Ok so since Nya looks like a spitting image of the pirate, do you think that her mom was the she-pirate that the ginn loved?

    • admin January 11, 2016, 10:43 AM

      Oh, wow! Interesting theory!

    • Ninjago62 January 11, 2016, 4:00 PM

The episodes 59 and 60 will only be releases next weekend, one Saturday and the other Sunday.

      Good theory!

    • gid617 January 12, 2016, 8:24 AM

It’s actually pretty hard to tell what the connection is, because you know the Destiny’s Bounty was lost 200+ years ago and Misfortune’s Keep must have been taken before that. But then, time is always rather messed up in Ninjago – so even despite the time problems, I’d agree with you that she’s most likely her mom.

    • BLProductions January 12, 2016, 10:45 PM

Good theory. Nya’s mom was the Master of Water, though… So that would mean she disappeared, and then met Kai’s father and joined the Elemental Masters, without Nadakhan ever knowing. It’s also possible the pirate isn’t Nya’s mom, even if they are related. 😕
I guess this will be made clear sometime this season.

  • Blaize Garmadon January 21, 2016, 11:44 AM

I’ve been flipping through my guide for at least a month now,and still no new Ninjago episodes. *sigh*

But one of the things that has kind of been bugging me lately is the whole parent with elements thing.I mean Kai’s father was the Master of Fire, and Nya’s mother was the Master of Water,so they both inherited an element from their parents. We can assume that Cole derived his element from his mother, which would explain why never see her,and it would explain why he had to fudge the truth with his dad about being a Ninja.

With Zane,I think his elemental powers come from the little disc thing that Pixal found when she was repairing him, which Zane ended up using to power her back up to find out that his own fighting was compromised and hers was enhanced.

    But what about Jay?

I mean,we’ve seen Ed and Edna.Elemental Master material?I don’t think so-it’s not really likely. And I don’t think it skips over a generation, either. There’s a lot of rumors circulating on Tumblr about him possibly be related to Morro, because in one of the very first episodes,Jay does end up saying “Wind!” instead of Lightning.(But it could just be a mistake on the producers’ part.) And other people are saying that Jay’s probably adopted, given how…well, quite frankly, old his parents look.Even with that, there’s still conflicting evidence,so,honestly, who even knows?

I really hope that’s something that gets explained, because it’s been driving me completely CRAZY! Looking forward to the season either way, though. 🙂

    • Blaize Garmadon January 21, 2016, 11:50 AM

Oop.Just watched the trailer and had to add…

The fate of Ninjago resting on Jay’s shoulders?Yikes. Not that I don’t have faith in him, but…it’s Jay. O.O AND THEY NEED TO FIX COLE.GOSH.

      Okay.I’m done.Sorry.XD

    • admin January 21, 2016, 3:10 PM

Maybe Jay was adopted and he never knew…

  • Chenry January 27, 2016, 4:36 AM

Does anyone know if it has starting being showed in the UK?

  • bubbles January 27, 2016, 9:38 PM

  • DX ZX KENDO NRG KIMONO TECHNO JUNGLE JAY-MOUTH OF LIGHTNING (seriously I have a mouth of lightning) January 28, 2016, 4:41 PM

My brother and I have been playing a lot of ninjago spinners lately… lol

  • JayZX535 February 1, 2016, 12:21 AM

The worst part about Ninjago is waiting for the next season to come out 😛

I heard somewhere that the next season is supposed to start airing in the US tomorrow, but I have yet to see anything indicating that elsewhere, so… I’m doubtful.

Dude though… this season has me worried. Mostly because it centers around Jay and he is my precious, beloved favorite character, and I worry about him XD Not to mention that the fate of Ninjago rests in his hands… not like I don’t trust Jay, but… then again, this is the same guy who accidentally infected himself with Fangpyre venom because he was dancing around the room with joy several seasons ago… and who fell through peoples’ roofs this last season… plus countless other mishaps inbetween… XD I absolutely love the little guy, but… he can be a walking disaster waiting to happen sometimes XD

Has anyone heard a more reliable release date for the US? I would watch the current uploads, but… last time I did that, it ended up worse for me than if I would have just waited XD

Someone also mentioned the fact that they need to fix Cole. Yes. Yes they do. This is… no. Just no. They need to address that pronto.

    Must… not… explode… from… anticipation… *flump*

    • admin February 1, 2016, 5:36 PM

Yeah, Jay is a favorite of many Ninjago fans, but as for as him being reliable… hm… maybe not so much. 🙄

      • JayZX535 February 2, 2016, 4:42 PM

It’s not even that he’s not reliable, he’s just… accident-prone XD Like, seriously- he’s an incredible, loyal little dude, but… he is an absolute magnet for disaster XD Which makes me worry for him XD

        • admin February 2, 2016, 4:49 PM

          Yes, accident-prone. That’s a good way to put it…

          • JayZX535 February 5, 2016, 5:21 AM

Well, I finally caved and ended up fishing out and binge-watching all 10 episodes on YouTube, and… wow O.o This season is so intense… dude… I don’t want to spoil it… but dude…
            But especially now, I say… accident-prone 😛

            • admin February 5, 2016, 9:48 AM

Yeah, Ninjago always had a pretty well-developed and satisfying story. Poor Jay! Must be bad karma! 🙄

Hey anyone now when will it come out on danish?? on dvd?? (the nordic edition i think)

    • admin May 31, 2016, 9:50 AM

Hm… that’s a tough question. We don’t even have a release date for the English version on DVD.

    • André Schumann June 4, 2016, 3:51 AM

Ive now asked lego, cartoon network and blockbuster. No one knows anything about danish release yet. Cant be long since all the toys are in the shops. My guess is itll come as a stream on blockbuster first.

      • admin June 4, 2016, 11:11 AM

Hm… sorry to hear that. Yeah, knowing when the episodes get released is tough even for us here in the USA.
