LEGO Mixels Series 7 review & details

At the beginning of the month I forgot to mention that the Series 7 of the LEGO Mixels characters is now available. LEGO Mixels are fun little characters worth collecting, but what it even more interesting to LEGO fans is that the sets are full of very useful and interesting elements. So let’s what we got this time in the latest LEGO Mixels series. 🙂

LEGO Mixels Series 7

As far as the characters, we have Kuffs, Busto and Tiketz in the MCPD Tribe. The color-scheme is blue, white, black and gray – all standard colors that can work in a variety of LEGO creations. LEGO Mixels is a great way to get those new small ball-hinges and rounded slopes, and here we also get a good number of both. Also these little guys have lots of teeth! We get 1×2 plates with 3 small teeth, and 1×2 tiles with one big and one small tooth, and most interestingly, a brand new rounded 1×1 tile piece which also serves as teeth here. This piece is going to be very useful for decorations on buildings, for mosaics, and other creative applications. So far the piece is only available in white, but I’m sure more color choices will come soon.

The Medivals LEGO Mixels tribe include Camillot, Mixadel and Paladum. Gray, brown and gold are also very useful colors, especially if you are into castle or steampunk building. We get a few masonry bricks here – which are still fairly new, and always very welcome. Note that Paladum has four of those rounded 1×1 tile pieces (and one extra), so if you want to try out this part, this is a great Mixels character to get.

The Mixies is a musical tribe including Jamzy, Tapsy, and Trumpsy. I think from the three current tribes these guys are the cutest – and brightest too – with their yellow and purple color-combination. Tapsy comes with a nicely printed dish piece, and Trumpsy got four of the new 1×1 rounded tiles (and one extra). So this is another excellent set to get if you would like more of this new tile piece. In the video-player below I have included for you reviews of all three tribes.

And just like with previous LEGO Mixels series, you can also build larger LEGO Mixels Max characters, combining the three members of each tribe (see the last video-review above of the Max characters). LEGO has been also offering building instructions for other creative mix-ups of the characters at the official LEGO Mixels website. If you like to play around with these little guys, you might want to check those out. Also notice that the Nixels (the little black devilish guys) have new face prints in the MCPD and the Mixies Tribes!

LEGO Mixels Series 7 and More

Whether you collect LEGO Mixels, or just get specific ones for parts, Series 7 doesn’t disappoint. The packs are only $4.99 each, so they won’t break the bank even if you get the full series. LEGO Mixels Series 7 is currently available – along with some of the previous LEGO Mixels characters – at the LEGO Mixels section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I stopped collecting them, but I still get the ones I like for parts. They are great parts packs!

That’s pretty much what I do too. I stopped collecting after the third series. There are just so many! But as parts-packs they are still great. Plus some of them are exceptionally cute. 🙄
