Looks like this wave of LEGO Star Wars sets is well designed and should be popular with LEGO Star Wars fans, especially if the new movie is awesome (which I think it will be). Also, don’t forget about the recently re-released #75159 LEGO Star Wars Death Star with updated minifigures, and the #75158 LEGO Star Wars Rebel Combat Frigate that was added in between two major waves of sets and got sort of lost in the crowd. You can find all the sets at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The U.K. has triple VIP points on rogue one stuff at the moment. Guess it’s the same in America as well?

I just picked up the rebel U- wing fighter. It was madness at the LEGO store . The new star wars sets were just stacked behind the cashier, they were not on the shelves. I also saw someone buying the DEATH STAR along with all of new STAR WARS sets that are out now. (A grandparent buying for their grandson) . I asked ” So, when can I come to there house and help build ? LOL .

    • admin September 30, 2016, 4:47 PM

LOL! That’s funny! I want a grandparent like that too! Enjoy your U-wing! Let me know how you like it! 😀

I think these are the best Star Wars sets of 2016; there’s not much to improve in each set. 😀 I really like in the AT-ST, TIE Striker, and Krennic’s Shuttle, but having seen Jang’s review of the AT-ST I’m not entirely happy with it, the TIE Striker is too expensive for the set, and Krennic’s is way above my budget. I’ll probably wait for May the 4th next year, hoping for them to go on sale. 😕 Still, I’m looking forward to the movie. 🙂
Also, remember how I said those dishes on the sides of the AT-ST and the back of the TIE were new? I was wrong. LEGO’s inventory shows them as this part: http://brickset.com/parts/design-6942 It’s not very common, so I guess that’s why I didn’t recognize it. 😕

    • admin September 30, 2016, 6:57 PM

Wow! That’s a Scala dish??? Really interesting! I would have never guessed to check there! 😀

I’m so looking forward to the movie too! I was really happy with The Force Awakens, and I hope it will be at least that good.

      • BLProductions September 30, 2016, 10:45 PM

I never would have checked Scala either… but then again I was searching for cones and dishes, not lamp shades. I still should have recalled it, though: it just came out in the Arendelle Castle 2016 set. That shows how little attention I pay to Disney Princess sets. 😕
I’m hoping Rogue One will be better than the Force Awakens. I didn’t overly like TFA, and this one isn’t an “episode” (unless it’s Ep. III-and-3/4), so it has the potential to be great without ruining the storyline.
Also, has LEGO just updated LEGO.com/home again? The section links are now down the center of the page, and the login and search bar have been moved. Surely this isn’t just me again… the images are still correct. 😕

        • admin September 30, 2016, 10:55 PM

I was also looking for cones and dishes. I think we did the best we could. No way Scala would have come to my mind. But yeah, you are right, the piece did appear in some current sets. As far as the LEGO shop, it looks the same to me as before. I do know however that a lot of people are having problems with it, and apparently today was quite a disaster with people not being able to place orders and all. BTW, I ran into the same thing as what you mentioned before; not being able to scroll down categories. What I needed to do is shrink my browser down a bit to be able to see them all.

          • BLProductions October 3, 2016, 4:27 PM

No, not LEGO Shop. Lego.com Home: https://www.lego.com/en-us/ The general arrangement of stuff is the same, it’s just now the top icons are down the middle of the page, instead of the top.
I still can’t scroll down categories on LEGO Shop, no matter the browser size, but I don’t really care anymore. I don’t use LEGO Shop often, now I just check it now and then. 😕

            • admin October 3, 2016, 5:08 PM

Oh! I didn’t even check how the homepage looks like after the update, as I rarely use that section of the site. For me the top icons are on top, then the big banners, then what’s new, etc. They are clearly having issues though. I wrote to my contact at LEGO yesterday, but haven’t heard back from him yet.

  • Professor Bunny September 30, 2016, 6:17 PM

I really like these sets… or most of them anyway. My favorite is the Imperial Assault Hovertank. I also like the U-wing, but I’m not really interested in the AT-ST or TIE Striker. IMO, Krennic’s shuttle looks like a vacuum cleaner.
Double VIP points is nice, but Darth Revan again? Really?

    • admin September 30, 2016, 6:59 PM

It actually seems like Darth Revan is already gone. I have heard from numerous people that they did not get it with their order. If you call in to complain, they may give you another promo minifig. You must have a really awesome vacuum cleaner if that’s what the shuttle reminds you of! 😀

  • Legostuff71 September 30, 2016, 6:58 PM

I saw the review on the u-wang from Jang also but, I like the U- wing because it’s. different and not what we expect in a STAR WARS set or vehicle in that universe .

    • admin September 30, 2016, 7:01 PM

I agree that the U-wing is pretty awesome. Unusual shape, interesting colors, big, great minifigs, firepower… what else could we ask for? 😀

  • Legostuff71 September 30, 2016, 8:12 PM

    A lower price? LOL.

    • admin September 30, 2016, 8:19 PM

      Okay, fine, you win! 🙄

  • Legostuff71 September 30, 2016, 9:29 PM

I’m only a winner if it happens . I will always love LEGO no matter what. Remember impatient s lead s to anger which leads to the dark side .
