Second wave of 2017 sets available now!

LEGO just released another large wave of 2017 LEGO sets, including LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Super Heroes, LEGO Minecraft, LEGO Elves, LEGO Technic, LEGO Speed Champions, and LEGO Classic. Keep in mind that the free exclusive LEGO Batman Movie Disco and Clown Batman minifigures offer with purchases of $75 or more is still in effect, so this is a good time to try out the new sets and also get some freebies. Below is the full list. 🙂

2017 LEGO STAR WARS SETS AVAILABLE NOW: This is a very large wave of new LEGO War Wars sets, so I will only list their names for now (we will review them later), and you can visit the Online LEGO Shop to see detailed images and descriptions of each of the sets: #75168 LEGO Star Wars Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter, #75169 LEGO Star Wars Duel on Naboo, #75170 LEGO Star Wars The Phantom, #75171 LEGO Star Wars Battle on Sharif, #75172 LEGO Star Wars Y-wing Starfighter, #75173 LEGO Star Wars Luke’s Landspeeder, #75174 LEGO Star Wars Desert Skiff Escape, and #75175 LEGO Star Wars A-wing Starfighter. There are also two new battle packs: the #75164 LEGO Star Wars Rebel Trooper Battle Pack and the #75165 LEGO Star Wars Imperial Trooper Battle Pack. And we also get a new wave of LEGO Star Wars Microfighters: #75160 LEGO Star Wars U-wing, #75161 LEGO Star Wars TIE Striker, #75162 LEGO Star Wars Y-wing, and #75163 LEGO Star Wars Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle. And there are three more of the large buildable figures: #75523 LEGO Star Wars Scarif Stormtrooper, #75524 LEGO Star Wars Chirrut Îmwe, and #75525 LEGO Star Wars Baze Malbus. You can find all these new sets listed under the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2017 LEGO SUPER HEROES SETS AVAILABLE NOW: A number of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets were just released as well. This includes the #76076 LEGO Super Heroes Captain America Jet Pursuit, #76077 LEGO Super Heroes Iron Man: Detroit Steel Srikes (this is a really great set with a red car and a giant mech!), the long-awaited #76078 LEGO Super Heroes Hulk vs. Red Hulk, #76079 LEGO Super Heroes Ravager Attack, #76080 LEGO Super Heroes Ayesha’s Revenge, and the updated Milano in the #76081 LEGO Super Heroes The Milano vs. The Abilisk. Please note that some of these sets don’t have pictures yet at the Online LEGO Shop, even though they are available for sale. I’m guessing this will be corrected within the next few days. In the meantime you can find detailed images in the Brickset database. All the new sets are listed under the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2017 LEGO MINECRAFT SETS AVAILABLE NOW: There are six new LEGO Minecraft sets you can add to your collection. Again, we will review these later, but for now here is the list of the new sets: #21129 LEGO Minecraft The Mushroom Island, #21130 LEGO Minecraft The Nether Railway, #21131 LEGO Minecraft The Ice Spikes, #21132 LEGO Minecraft Jungle Temple, #21133 LEGO Minecraft The Witch Hut, and #21134 LEGO Minecraft The Waterfall Base. You can find them all under the LEGO Minecraft section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2017 LEGO ELVES SETS AVAILABLE NOW: This has been a highly anticipated wave of the LEGO Elves line with goblins! The newly available sets are as follows: #41181 LEGO Elves Naida’s Gondola & the Goblin Thief, #41182 LEGO Elves The Capture of Sophie Jones, #41183 LEGO Elves The Goblin King’s Evil Dragon, #41184 LEGO Elves Aira’s Airship & the Amulet Chase, and the enchanted #41185 LEGO Elves Magic Rescue from the Goblin Village. See the LEGO Elves section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2017 LEGO TECHNIC SETS AVAILABLE NOW: There are only a couple of new LEGO Technic sets that were – for some reason – left out from the January release. This includes the #42061 LEGO Technic Telehandler, and the LEGO Technic BMW R 1200 GS Adventure. This second set has been heavily advertised by LEGO as a realistic replica of the original BMW motorcycle. Both sets are available under the LEGO Technic section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2017 LEGO SPEED CHAMPIONS SETS AVAILABLE NOW: The 2017 LEGO Speed Champions sets are finally here! These sets have been long talked about, and collectors are happy that the new wave offers another excellent wave of racecars. The list of new sets is as follows: #75877 LEGO Speed Champions Mercedes-AMG GT3, #75878 LEGO Speed Champions Bugatti Chiron, #75879 LEGO Speed Champions Scuderia Ferrari SF16-H, #75880 LEGO Speed Champions McLaren Road Car, #75881 LEGO Speed Champions 2016 Ford GT & 1966 Ford GT40, #75882 LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari FXX K & Development Center, and #75883 LEGO Speed Champions Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. You can find all the sets under the LEGO Speed Champions section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2017 LEGO CLASSIC SETS AVAILABLE NOW: These sets were technically part of the January release in other countries, but were delayed in the US. The newly listed sets are as follows: #10706 LEGO Classic Blue Creative Box, #10707 LEGO Classic Red Creative Box, #10708 LEGO Classic Green Creative Box, and #10709 LEGO Classic Orange Creative Box. You can find them all under the LEGO Classic section of the Online LEGO Shop.

LEGO BRICKHEADZ SETS AVAILABLE NOW: We have talked about these already , but for the sake of completeness I will mention again that the Series 1 of the LEGO BrickHeadz characters are now available for LEGO VIP members (regular release will be in March). In the LEGO DC Super Heroes collection we get the #41585 LEGO BrickHeadz Batman, the #41586 LEGO BrickHeadz Batgirl, the #41587 LEGO BrickHeadz Robin, and the #41588 LEGO BrickHeadz The Joker. The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes collection includes the #41589 LEGO BrickHeadz Captain America, the #41590 LEGO BrickHeadz Iron Man, the #41591 LEGO BrickHeadz Black Widow, and the #41592 LEGO BrickHeads The Hulk. And we also get two Disney characters; the #41595 LEGO BrickHeadz Belle, and the #41596 LEGO BrickHeadz Beast. You can find them all under the LEGO BrickHeadz section of the Online LEGO Shop.

As you can see, there are plenty of new sets to choose from. For Star Wars fans, this is the first wave of sets for 2017, for Marvel fans, there is a good selection of new and updated sets and minifigures, Minecraft fans get a brand new wave, and for LEGO Elves fans, the magical saga continues. If you want to see all the new sets at once, you can visit the new sets section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Wow! The Y-wing looks awesome! I also really like the Elves Goblin Village, and some of the Speed Campions sets. I might also try one of those Brickheadz. Any news on the New York toy fair yet? Isn’t it’s this weekend?

We will talk about the New York Toy Fair on Monday, as news is still coming in. There is a lot of see! 😀

Those goblins are cool looking . I don’t know , very tempting. I try and alternate builds . I just finished some of the Star Wars sets , now I am thinking of building Marvel or something else. Of course I am a little broke now ( a problem we all face from time to time). So, my goal is not to get burnt out by just one theme.

Tomorrow we will be talking about the new sets coming later this year. I think it will help to plan ahead by seeing what’s coming. Personally I only care for some of the upcoming City sets and Elves, so I already have my money allocated. Otherwise, yeah, it’s easy to get burnt out.

I think Brickheadz looks interesting. So much potential with building such figures. They may not be pretty, but this is the popular collectible style right now. I agree about Elves looking fantastic.

BrickHeadz does have potential, and it is also a great way to learn how to make brick-built figures. I think they will be fun to play with. And I’m certain that a lot of people will collect them as well.
