LEGO Batman Movie DVD/Blu-Ray available!

The LEGO Batman Movie was released on DVD and Blu-Ray just a couple of days ago. Both versions include some special features, including four new original animated shorts, four deleted scenes, and six featurettes. If you enjoyed the film, this is your chance to own it and watch it whenever you like. Below are some additional details. 🙂

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that assemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone-vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. 104 minutes of LEGO Batman fun!

Special features include the original animation shorts “Dark Hoser”, “Batman is Just Not That Into You”, “Cooking with Alfred”, “Movie Sound Effects: How Do They Do That?”, and “The Master: A LEGO Ninjago Short”. Other special features include “One Brick at a Time: Making The LEGO Batman Movie”, “Rebrick Contest Winners”, “Inside Wayne Manor”, the original movie trailers, director and crew commentary, and more.

Both the DVD and the Blu-Ray version are available at various retailers like Target and Wal-Mart, and you can also get it online on Amazon.com. Below are the links:

Owning the DVD/Blu-Ray version of The LEGO Batman Movie is a great way to enjoy the film, and also to pick up all the little details that you might have missed when watching it at the theatre. And if you are really liked the film, I also highly recommend the book titled The LEGO Batman Movie: The Making of the Movie. It is full of interesting background information, sketches and other details about how the movie and the related LEGO models were made. See review here: The LEGO Batman Movie Books from DK

I still need a Condiment Man minifig in my life.

Yeah, for sure! Who wouldn’t? 🙄

Finally! There are so many little details in this movie that I want to check out! Batman was my favorite character in the lego movie!

I still haven’t seen the movie yet. Hopefully, though, the movie’s DVD release means Netflix will get it soon, and since that’s how my parents get movies, TLBM will arrive soon after. Then we watch it once, mail it back, and I’ll never get to watch it again. 🙁 The special features on the Blu-Ray version sound cool as well. Oh well. 😕
Also, speaking of LEGO Movies: https://brickset.com/article/28666/the-lego-ninjago-movie-set-images It is as I said: the hairpieces are identical to the on-screen ones, unfortunately. Ignoring entirely the movie and the show contexts, however, the sets aren’t that bad. None are particularly exciting to me, but there are many great parts, such as golden bananas. 🙂 Master Falls may be my favorite, if only because it’s a cheap set with Wu, Garmadon, and Kai in it. No Ice Tank yet though, which is the one set I’m really interested in. 😕

I’m so getting the ship and the red mech! The rest are nice too, but I can live without them. I did see a picture of the Ice Tank. It looks very… let’s just say… unusual…

Well , it finally happened . My Mom was kind enough to get me the Batman LEGO movie, but, she also got me a LEGO Batman set ( something I was trying to avoid) I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get into yet . My Mom got me The Joker balloon escape. So, I guess I ‘m collecting Lego Batman movie ( yay!) well she didn’t have to twist my arm about it very hard. Lol!

Well, there’s always the option of just having one or a few sets, instead of collecting the whole series… =/

Myself, I’m thinking about buying the Lego Batman magazine with the free Joker minifig during the weekend. I should have collected enough deposit bottles to pay for it in the supermarket, anyway…

Well, you can always say your mom made you do it! 😀

True, but right now I am looking at older city sets . I was thinking about the prison island set to go with the Coast guard sets. If anything in the Batman sets it would be the Cat woman cycle chase , Batman vs scarecrow and finally Bane toxic truck attack. I heard that the Ninjago movie sets are coming out August, is that true?

    • admin June 16, 2017, 9:55 PM

Yes, the Ninjago sets are scheduled for August 1st. I think it’s possible that by the time the Ninjago sets come out the Batman sets will go on sale. So it might be worth waiting a couple of months.

Yeah , I’m in no hurry for Batman right now. I just had my fill on the Jungle theme ( it’s time for a change of scenery.) I am going to house sit for my Unlce and he pays well . So, the prison island might be picked up any way . The other sets will be for my Birthday. So , that’s the plan and with any luck I ‘ll stick to it.
