Last Double VIP Points period of the year!

As we discussed at the beginning of the month (see: December 2017 – New LEGO Sets & Promotions), this weekend (December 8-10), LEGO is offering Double VIP Points to LEGO VIP members. This is the last advertised Double VIP Points period of the year, so make sure you don’t miss out. In addition, the second promotional item of the month, the #40220 LEGO Creator Mini London Bus, is now available with purchases of $75 of more (this offer is valid December 8-17). So don’t miss out! ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have been eyeing some of the newly released sets, like the #70922 LEGO Batman Movie The Joker’s Manor and #10256 LEGO Creator Taj Mahal, this is a great time to get them. They should still reliably arrive before Christmas with regular shipping, and you will earn twice as many points on your purchase at LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

Also, many of the first wave of 2018 sets are now available, including sets from LEGO City, LEGO Creator, LEGO Juniors, The LEGO Ninjago Movie, and LEGO Nexo Knights. To see all the new sets, follow the links to the Online LEGO Shop.

In addition to Double VIP Points you will also get the #40220 LEGO Creator Mini London Bus with purchases of $75 or more. This great little set goes well with the #10258 LEGO Creator London Bus. As I mentioned above, this offer is valid December 8-17 on all purchases at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

And you don’t have to focus on the new sets, there are plenty of amazing offers in the 2017 collections as well. This includes the new LEGO Star Wars: The Last Jedi sets, the beautiful #21310 LEGO Ideas Old Fishing Store, the LEGO Juniors sets for younger builders, the LEGO Disney sets, the lovely LEGO Friends Snow Resort sets, the LEGO Minecraft sets, the last wave of the LEGO Nexo Knights sets, LEGO Super Heroes sets (both for DC and Marvel fans), the LEGO Super Hero Girls sets, The LEGO Ninjago Movie collection, all the new LEGO Technic sets, the LEGO BOOST Creative Toolbox, the LEGO Creator London Bus, and more. And before you check out, I also recommend taking a look at the sales and deals section of the Online LEGO Shop to see what’s on clearance.

What do you think? Are you going to take advantage of the last Double VIP Points period of the year? What are you planning to get? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Laurie, hm… so sorry to hear that. I regularly shop at eBay as well, and never had an issue. Always check the seller’s rating, and location, and of course, read the description carefully. Some of the sellers selling knockoff sets by Lepin and such will have similar pictures as real LEGO sets, but they will say in the description something like “LEGO compatible” or something like that. You have to be vigilant, but if you follow the basics of being careful, eBay is a great place to shop. It seems though that for you, best is to just get the set from LEGO directly. ๐Ÿ™‚

      That’s awful.

I used to shop on ebay but I’ve had my own problems. Like when used sets weren’t complete. So I now stick with either regular stores like LEGO directly, Target, Toys’R’Us. and the like or if I need something rare or hard to find I go with Bricklink.

It’s not as expensive as Amazon and you can find some good deals. Plus the community is really good about shuting down bad sellers.

Oh! I’m reading on top of the page that the Saturn V is back? That’s big news!

I saw that too! Finally! ๐Ÿ˜€

Yeah, it’s really happy news for those who wanted to get it for Christmas! Thank you, LEGO! ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry Laurie, that’s a pain to deal with. As for shopping for Lego sets , I am kinda tight with the cash flow right now ( Christmas shopping did it) but at least I’m done . So, sadly I will have to pass and it’s killing me . Ah , power of addiction and the trouble it causes us. Lol!

Naw, we only live once (as far as we know), so enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I think I will try some of the 2018 sets. Some of the new Technic sets and creator sets are great. Also, City is pretty funny this year with that dude in his underwear and the bear. ๐Ÿ˜€

    • admin December 9, 2017, 6:16 PM

I’m also looking at a couple of the Technic sets, as I collect the Pull-Back Racers. And yes, LEGO City is very funny next year! ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m thinking of saving my money so I can get the Mountain police headquarters ( $90.00) and maybe attach it to the forest police station. Make a larger police headquarters. That and I want the mountain lion that comes with it . Maybe have enough animals to make a zoo .

    • admin December 9, 2017, 11:25 PM

That’s a great plan! Those sets definitely go well together. And more animals are always welcome. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Legostuff71 December 9, 2017, 10:18 PM

Ok possible change of plans. If I decide to get the Lego batman movie sets , I’m thinking that the teenage mutant ninja turtles would team up with batman and friends . Some of the bad guys in both TMNT and batman lego movie are so out there that it matches almost perfectly . I’m in trouble Lego has done it . They got me to buy lego Batman movie and I was doing so well. There Jedi mind trick worked . Lol!

    • admin December 9, 2017, 11:24 PM

LOL! So the badguys got ya? ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

  • Legostuff71 December 9, 2017, 11:36 PM

Well I saw a picture of the set the Egg man and the condiment king. So I said that is to funny to pass up. I guess the guy in the Hotdog suit is in trouble . I don’t know , I’ve changing my mind so often that I might have to go to my happy place in my mind to try and think more clearly. It just so many good sets that are coming out.

I didn’t go overboard with this deal, but I did end up with some nice promos.

I went in to the LEGO store on Friday, and got a LEGO Batman Movie Batwing. That earned me double points, a free mini London bus, they had extra Wu keychains so got one of those, and I turned in the free Gingerbread man coupon I got in the mail. Not sure why some people I know got one and why others didn’t.

But now I’m all set to buy something big so I can get that 60th anniversary set they’ll be giving away in late January!

And thanks everyone for pointing out the cool City sets. I normally just tune those out, but man they look fun.

    Will

Hi, Will. I was just at Target and picked up the city set 60117 Van & Caravan for $10.00 dollars ( as to $20.00). I’ll just add it my forest theme. At this point and time things are just picked over ( like vultures on a carcass). Lol!
