LEGO Incredibles 2 sets available now!

The sequel to the highly successful The Incredibles animated Pixar film is coming to theatres this summer (June 15th). Incredibles 2 resumes where the first film ends, with the introduction of the villain the Underminer. Helen, as Elastigirl, continues to fight crime and campaign for the return of “supers”; while Bob, a.k.a. Mr. Incredible, stays at home caring for their children Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. But then of course stuff happens as nothing is ever normal with this family. Incredibles 2 is written and directed by Brad Bird, who also wrote and directed the first film, so I expect the sequel to be just as action-packed and enjoyable. 🙂

To accompany the film, we also get three LEGO Incredibles sets under the LEGO Juniors line, as well as a LEGO BrickHeadz set with Mr. Incredible and Frozone. Below are the details about all four sets, and I also included the movie trailer for your reference. Please note that all of the sets are already available at various LEGO retailers and at the Online LEGO Shop.

#41613 LEGO BRICKHEADZ MR. INCREDIBLE & FROZONE: These LEGO BrickHeadz Mr. Incredible & Frozone construction characters are fun to build using colorful LEGO bricks that recreate all their iconic details from Disney Pixar’s blockbuster Incredibles 2 movie. Each character stands on a buildable collector’s baseplate with BrickHeadz logo for easy display in your home, office or anywhere you like. Each character stands over 2” (7cm) tall without baseplate. Baseplates measure over 1” (4cm) square. 160 pieces. Price: $19.99 – BUY HERE

It is interesting that LEGO choose to release all of the Incredibles 2 sets under the LEGO Juniors line. This means that the sets are super easy to build even for younger kids (LEGO Juniors is recommended for ages 4-5). While all the pieces are regular LEGO elements, vehicles and buildings include what LEGO calls Quick Start elements – larger pieces that replace more complex assemblies.

Although the sets may not be interesting to older LEGO fans because of the juniorized building experience, LEGO Juniors sets do have one very appealing feature; all the decorated pieces you see in the sets are printed instead of stickered. Particularly nice are the “Wanted” poster, car hood, bank vault door, and soda can top in the #10760 LEGO Juniors Underminer Bank Heist set, and the various interior decoration pieces in the #10761 LEGO Juniors The Great Home Escape.

LEGO Juniors characters are standard minifigures, so if you would like to add the Incredibles heroes and villains to your collection, here is your chance. Between the three sets we get Mrs. Incredible (in regular form and Elastigirl form with long bendy arms), Mr. Incredible, Violet, Dash, an adorable Jack-Jack baby figure, the Underminer, Brick, and Screenslaver.

Besides the LEGO Incredibles 2 building sets, there is also going to be video game coming in June to  PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The new LEGO The Incredibles game will cover both the original and sequel with action packed levels full of fun and adventure. The teaser trailer below gives you a taste of the game, which is already available for pre-order on Amazon: LEGO INCDREDIBLES GAME ON AMAZON

I like the Brickheadz and that’s pretty much it. With all the new sets coming out Incredibles is way down my list. I think it was a good idea that Lego put them under Juniors. The movie is for younger kids, and there is just not enough substance to make these regular sets.

Yeah, it looks like all the LEGO themes are competing against each other for our attention. 😀

Looking forward to the film, but I don’t think we will get the sets. So many other options right now. I like the Brickheadz Frozone, so may get that one.

Kids might like these. Will have to check. Nice to see some smaller sets featured here. Seeing all the big sets with big prices can get a little overwhelming.

It’s great to Lego expanding on there jr. Sets , and now they have The Incredibles sets out now. The one thing that concerns me, is Lego is putting out so many sets that sometimes it becomes a bit overwhelming for the customer. It’s great that their are a lot of choices but, as I heard a kid say” there are some choices that I’m gonna go crazy ” . I turned to this kid and said” I feel your dilemma”. So, do you think Lego is moving to fast at putting out a lot of there merchandise out ? Or is it just me.

Hm… yeah, it can seem that way. However keep in mind that most consumers will just go to their favorite big box store and pick a LEGO set off the shelves. They are not aware of every LEGO set currently available as we are. And as you said in your other comment, most people will just keep tab of their favorite theme or product line. They don’t care to know about everything. In some ways, the internet made out lives better by giving us more info, but in other ways it can be quite overwhelming. At times like that, we just need to step back, and refocus on what’s important to us. At least that’s how I try to handle it. 🙂

I thought about it for a minute and realized that their are many people out there with various interests . So , Lego is trying to do their best to please as many customers as possible. In order for them to that ,Lego puts out a variety of sets for a variety of peoples interest. A tough task to achieve but , Lego has managed to make it work. ( most of the time.)

Same here . For instance next week (Friday ) is Star Wars day and even though I love Star Wars , there’s a part of me wants to buy a Star Wars set just because of the day and the double V.I. P points . In all honesty I’m really looking at other sets. Ok , theirs the Yoda’s hut set that I want and it would be ideal to get it on Star Wars day( for the extra points ). I guess it’s more of a psychological . To be apart of something that every one else is doing . “It’s a trap!” As Admiral Akbar would say. Of course theirs the money flow problem ( or lack there of) . To many choices and not enough money to buy it all . Lol! However, the incredibles sets look like fun.

Yep, a TRAP!!! Avoid it at all cost! 😈

I’m getting ideas on how parts or aspects of a couple of these sets could be blended into my Lego city. Elastigirl’s Rooftop pursuit would be great on top of the Grand Emporium. Underminer by the bank… I’d also not mind getting the whole Minifig set but since that’s not how it works… 🙂

Oh! Those are actually great ideas! 😀
