LEGO Cloud City & Fire Station reviews

As we discussed last week, two new exclusive LEGO sets are now available for LEGO VIP members, ahead of the official release data on October 1st. The sets are the #75222 LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City, and the #10263 LEGO Winter Village Fire Station. For many LEGO fans, one or both of these sets were instant likes, while others want to know more about them before deciding to purchase or pass. If you have a LEGO store near you, I recommend stopping by to check them out on display. And, those of us who don’t have a nearby store, will have to rely on online reviews. Fortunately, one of the best LEGO reviewers, JANGBRiCKS, worked quickly to publish reviews of both sets as soon as possible. Take a look below. 🙂

In the first video, JANG reviews the massive #75222 LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City set. There is a lot to see here, and lots of surprises too! There are two versions of the review (both included in the player below). The first one is a quick walk-through that’s about 6 minutes long – good to watch if you are only mildly interested in the set. The second review is about 43 minutes long, and shows you every nook and corner with all the little details and features. If you have a strong interest in this set, but you haven’t bought it yet, I recommend watching the longer review. Use the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the player to make a selection.

Here is the official description for the #75222 LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City set: Relive a world of unforgettable moments from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back or add your own fun twists to the story with this #75222 LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City set. While the #75222 LEGO Star Wars Cloud City is mostly for dedicated Star Wars fans with lots of space and disposable income, the #10263 LEGO Winter Village Fire Station is a more affordable set with a wider appeal. It is the latest in the LEGO Winter Village Collection, and a delightful addition to previous sets in the series, such as the #10254 LEGO Winter Holiday Train from 2016, and the #10259 LEGO Winter Village Station from 2017 (both are still available at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop). In the video-review below, JANG will show you all the details of the set. And, if you would like to watch the designer video, it is available here.

Here is the official description for the #10263 LEGO Winter Village Fire Station set: Welcome to the snowy #10263 LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Fire Station, where the firefighters are enjoying the calm of the holiday season. This delightful LEGO set features a 2-level, holly-adorned building with an upper-level kitchen, complete with a red telephone, table, fold-down bed and a LEGO light brick. Behind the large red fire station doors, you’ll discover firefighting equipment and a fire pole, while outside there’s an ice rink with a decorative firefighter statue, a decorated Christmas tree with transparent star and gifts, plus a bench and lamppost. This set also features a classic red fire truck with a turntable ladder, hoses, toolbox and deep-tread tires. Gather the family and bring the magic of the holiday season to your home with this festive LEGO Creator Expert set. Fire Station measures over 9” (23cm) high, 9” (25cm) wide and 5” (14cm) deep. Fire truck measures over 2” (6cm) high, 1” (4cm) wide and 5” (13cm) deep. Includes 6 minifigures: 3 firefighters, ice hockey player, musician with saxophone, and a girl with a scarf. It also includes a Dalmatian, brick-built snowman, and a baby figure with a moose sweater. 1,166 pieces. Price: $99.99 – BUY HERE

Hope these reviews help you in making a decision about these two new sets. I know they helped me. If you are a fan of the original Star Wars movies, the #75222 LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City may just be the set for you. And, if you and your family have made it a holiday tradition to build the LEGO Winter Village sets, the #10263 LEGO Winter Village Fire Station is a wonderful addition.

What do you think? How do you like the new LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Winter Village sets? Are you planning to get either of them? What other new sets do you really like and would like to purchase? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I don’t think I’m going to get any of them . There are so many other stets that I want that it gets to be a bit overwhelming. Yesterday, I was talking about creating fairytale characters and make them kinda like the t v show Grimm.( A little dark). I just thought of two more . Jack and the bean stalk and little Miss Muffet. I figure I’ll get two of the 3-1 creator sets of the spider and the troll ( make the troll into a gaint). I’m trying to create things more than buying more sets . ( or at least buy smaller sets) . Of course star wars and other themed sets will always be on my mind. ( the torment) lol!

I think the lego cloud city is cool and may even pick it up for my son (It’s hard to say no to a cute star wars fan 🙂 ) , but the Christmas one I will pass as i feel like my son could easily create it out of his extra legos lying around.

The post office is a must as we have been collecting the Chrismas Village sets. I like that last photo showing the post office with a couple of the other sets. It fits in nicely.

We will pass on Cloud City. It’s too big, and based on Jang’s review, not very play-friendly.

Change of plans, did not get the 3-1 set ( spider, troll and dragon). I didn’t like the the look of the creatures ( maybe it was the coloring .I don’t know). I did however find some star wars sets on sale at target. I agree, the betrayal of Cloud City looks very cool but, I was in formed from the people that would buy me expensive sets for Christmas said too expensive not happening .

Star Wars sets on sale! That’s a good find! And yeah, it’s perfectly fine to change plans. Sometimes you see something online and you think you will like it, but when you see it in person, it looks different. That’s one of the main reasons it’s sad that we no longer have Toys’R’Us with their awesome LEGO displays! 🙁

I just finished watching Jang’s reviews. It’s crazy how much effort he puts into these reviews! Cloud City was almost an hour long! I’m surprised the set doesn’t have more play features. After all, it supposed to be a playset instead of UCS. They should just have gone all out then and make it an ultimate play set.

I like his reviews too, and now he has a second channel with quick reviews. Thanks, admin for including both!
