LEGO Star Wars Battle Stories Brick-Films

Here is a little something for your entertainment; LEGO Star Wars Battle Stories. These little short films have been published on LEGO’s YouTube channel, and feature alternate versions of famous chapters from the Star Wars saga. The stories are fun, and the stop-motion animation is fantastic. Check them out below.

What if Yoda had said “Come with you, I will”, when Luke went to rescue his friends in Cloud City? Could they have rescued Han Solo from the Stormtroopers, Boba Fett, and even Darth Vader? Or, could Princess Leia have ended Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope before it even began? See what might have happened to a certain Star Destroyer, with this cunning plan in place!

While the LEGO Star Wars Battle Stories are primarily meant to entertain children, they can be enjoyed by adult LEGO fans as well, particularly brick-filmers. It’s also worth pausing the videos to check out the scenes and settings built for these brick-films – like Planet Dagobah, extended Cloud City, and the inside of the Star Destroyer. Some of the official LEGO sets featured in these brick-films include the #75208 LEGO Star Wars Yoda’s Hut, the #75218 LEGO Star Wars X-wing Starfighter, the #75222 LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City, and the #75244 LEGO Star Wars Tantive IV. You can find them at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

At the time of this writing, three episodes were released in the LEGO Star Wars Battle Stories series, but I will add any future episodes in the player above so you can watch those as well. LEGO Star Wars films are always entertaining!

What do you think? How do you like these LEGO Star Wars brick-films? Do you do any LEGO stop-motion animation yourself? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

I loved it . Those videos made me laugh so hard . The Simple and the creative minds of children always reminds me that we as adults don’t have to make things so complicated. Kind of like when I combined Star Wars and Jurassic Park together . I made a story line that the Empire wants to use Dino DNA to make super soldiers against the rebel Alliance. But, the dinosaurs have been train to guard the rebel base and would defend the rebels. Stormtroopers ” crunchy on the outside ,but soft in the middle”. Lol!

The one with Yoda is funny. Does Lego make these videos themselves, or are they outsourced? Does anyone know?

I guess there is a kind of committee or small team writing/ tweaking the script, and then it’s sent out to some animation company for actual animating, although I might not have completely understood you.

Many of the stop-motion videos are done by AFOLs commissioned by LEGO. There is a website where LEGO puts of project requests, animators can submit a rough draft of what they plan to do, LEGO chooses who they want to work with, pays the animator, and the animator submits the finalized work.
