I’m curious about the new Overwatch sets. The printed parts and minifigs are nice, and I like the look of the choopper and the ball. They seem to use some interesting techniques. The Gingerbread House looks cute. I think that’s it for me this month. I would love to get the Land Rover, but Santa will have to help with that.

I like the concept of the Wrecking Ball, but since I am about to move to a new apartment in the upcoming months, I might need to reconsider it until there’s a sale or I have a new apartment ready…

Most of the other releases are way too big, expensive or not interesting for me.

yeah, we have ben getting a lot of big sets. I guess LEGO is gearing up for the holiday season. 😉

The star wars sets look interesting to me, but , as always overpriced. I may break down and get some of the sets anyways. Just the so so cheaper sets. Two most expensive sets , well ,Santa going to deal with those.🎅 . The one overwatch set ( the Wrecking Ball) is coming today in the mail.

I was also able to pick up the BrickHeadz elves as well

I really want the Excavator, but I’m nervous about depending on the app. Can it work without the app? Can you control the different functions manually? Also, does it have a B model?

    • TomTom October 1, 2019, 3:39 PM

There is a review at the brothers brick that says that the Excavator is pretty much useless without the app.

      • admin October 3, 2019, 2:19 PM

Yes, I read that too. The app, however does have great benefit too. It can provide much more complex control than a traditional remote could.

    • admin October 3, 2019, 2:18 PM

Martin, no B-model, and the Excavator doesn’t work without the app. So yeah, it’s a decision that has to be evaluated carefully.

I want the Devastator so badly, but sadly, I don’t have that kind of money legos. I would like to see it at least once though. Is it displayed at the stores?

    • Hayato October 1, 2019, 4:24 PM

From what i heard, it’s displayed at lego stores. It needs a lot of space, so that’s another consideration besides money.

    • admin October 3, 2019, 2:19 PM

It is displayed at official LEGO stores. 🙂

  • I Like Giraffes October 2, 2019, 12:44 PM

Did you guys see the Jaguar that’s coming to Speed Champions? That’s a cool set and it’s going to be 8 studs wide!

And yes, I like giraffes! 😀

    • sammy October 2, 2019, 1:22 PM

I saw those. I wonder if 8-stud wide is going to be the new standard, or they are only doing it for this one set. Admin, do you know?

      • Peter October 2, 2019, 1:46 PM

Well, they made a new base for the 8-stud wide cars, so they are either switching completely or at least have a plan for more 8-stud wide vehicles.

      • admin October 3, 2019, 2:25 PM

There is a discussion about it on the Ambassador Forum, but the persons who really know are not allowed to share until January. I’m not sure why. It would be good to know if this is the new standard. Some people don’t seem to mind, others are upset that the new vehicles will look off next to the older ones, and they don’t work well on LEGO City roads. Eight-stud is VERY wide! Wider than trains! It’s the same as the Ecto-1!

        • Håkan October 4, 2019, 6:35 AM

About all of my roadplates are for the ages old four-stud standard… A combination of good flea market deals and personal retro sensibilities…

  • Håkan October 4, 2019, 8:36 AM

There’s a nice new horse mold appearing in the Frozen set 41168 Elsa’s Jewellery Box. I wonder whether it will appear in a solid color or in a cheaper set…

    • admin October 5, 2019, 10:16 PM

I have been wondering about that too. And there is also the trans-blue stag in the new Harry Potter set I would love in solid color!

      • Håkan October 8, 2019, 5:36 PM

Yeah, you’d have thought there were some plans for something in the works…
