Sweet LEGO Gingerbread House for Halloween!

A few days ago, I shared some really cute Halloween pumpkins and Gingerbread houses by LEGO fan Chad Parker (see: LEGO Halloween Pumpkins & Gingerbread Houses). Since then, Chad also built a Halloween version of the newly released #10267 LEGO Creator Gingerbread House. Check it out below and let me know how you like it.

The #10267 LEGO Creator Gingerbread House comes with brown walls to mimic gingerbread, white frosted roofs and wood frame, colorful candy decorations throughout, and translucent pink and purple windows. There is also a brick-built Christmas tree, and lots of sweet little accessories.

To give the gingerbread house a Halloween feel, Chad replaced the brown walls with tan, the white frosted roofs and wood frame with brown, and the green and red Christmas decorations with orange, black, and lime-green (for slime). Even the stained glass windows were changed to translucent orange and purple. Chad also built additional trees based on the design of the Christmas tree in the set, but in orange, black, and white. And of course, there are spiders, bats, pumpkins, and candy corn everywhere.

The original function that allows you to push the smoke puff at the top of the chimney to turn on the light in the hearth was kept, but some of the decorations were changed. Notice, for example, that the smoke puff was replaced with candy corn, and a translucent orange panel in the shape of a pumpkin was inserted, which glows when the hearth is lit.

Such an awesome project, isn’t it? Even just changing the colors of a LEGO set can make such a big difference, and it’s an activity the whole family can enjoy. If you would like to see more pictures, visit Chad’s Facebook page, and if you are interested to build your own gingerbread house for Halloween, the #10267 LEGO Creator Gingerbread House is available at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? How do you like the Halloween-themed gingerbread house? Are you planning to build anything for the holidays yourself? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

This is so cool! I like it even better than the original. It’s little a medieval house.

I think the house is based on Northern German architectural traditions.

Both this and the pumpkin houses are very pretty. It’s amazing what a simple color swap can do.

I love to see people rebuild and recolor sets like this. Great job! Now I want to see a whole Halloween village in this style. 😀

That is a project I’m slowly working on. To make the entire winter village series in this same Halloween gingerbread style.👍

I like how he even changed the colors of the walls and wood frame. I think he said last time that he has a project on Ideas.

I have been seeing many great Halloween mocs this year. Probably because Lego didn’t release anything interesting. This and the pumpkin carriage I saw this morning are my favorites so far.

That could very well be the reason. It’s surprising that all we got was BrickHeadz for the holidays. I quite liked those small vignettes we had in previous years.

Thank you so much for showing interest in my Halloween projects. I’ve made a Facebook page, @BrickerParker, that has everything I’ve been working on posted there. I’ll also be posting more past Halloween as well.My goal with all of this is to bring it to Lego’s attention that we need more Halloween sets. Either seasonal or an ongoing series. Thanks again for the interest, it is very special to me!

Yes, we definitely need more Halloween sets! I hope your Ideas project is successful. 🙂
