This would pair up with the Tumbler really well. I love the shaping of the back, and isn’t this is the first time they are releasing a plastic cape?

Well, that’s a beauty for sure! The cockpit is my favorite part. I assume they are using stickers?

Some are printed, some are stickers. The cockpit decorations are stickers, except for the emblem on the steering wheel.

Well, there goes my Christmas budget…. seriously cool set. They nailed those curves, especially at the back.

I love me some Batman, but , I already have my Christmas list on circulation right at the moment. Maybe next year sometime. I also like to wait past the Lego craze on new sets that just have come out theses past months. Everybody is going to want it and so the hunt will be challenging in some cases. I follow the path of the Jedi and be patient. I waited on the Lego 2 movie sets and I got it half price right now. It is tempting though.

How did you get them half off?!? Please share.

One issue with this approach is that you can miss out on exclusives. There is a mini version of the Batmobile that will be available only the first few days after release. If you don’t care for it, then it doesn’t matter, but I’m certain collectors will want it. It’s a nice set.

I’m worried about how fast that freebie is going to sell out. I expect a major website meltdown. Are new sets always available at midnight? Admin?

        • brickmaster November 7, 2019, 3:08 PM

New sets usually go on sale at midnight EST. The release is black friday weekend. Espect it to be a madhouse. Good luck with getting your orders through.

        • admin November 7, 2019, 3:15 PM

Yes, midnight EST. And yes, the website may or may not cooperate. Also remember that if you want to redeem VIP points, you will have to get a voucher first.

It’s blocky compared to the real thing, but it’s still beautiful and instantly recognizable. They did an especially good job in the cockpit and the back. I assume this is not minifig scale.

Hey, Dave. I found them on Amazon. I got the rex’ s explorer for $ 69.99 and Emmet’s dream house/ rescue rocket for about $30. ( or more I can’t remember). There has also been clearance prices at Barnes & Nobles. I’ve pretty much buy the expensive sets that are on sale on Amazon after it’s been out for a while. This is why it isn’t always wise to get the sets right when they first come out unless you really ,really want it now. ( for birthday gift or for a Christmas gift).

      Thanks for sharing!

Why are they releasing so many great sets? My bank account is not happy! Seriously, this is probably the most amazing batmobile ever.

  • gid617 November 8, 2019, 9:11 AM

I’m not even a fan of Batman but this is a pretty cool batmobile. 😀

  • legofan November 8, 2019, 9:42 AM

“I only work in black, and sometimes very-very dark gray.” I don’t know if I will get it or not, but it’s a very cool set.

  • Rob November 8, 2019, 4:20 PM

Very nice model, but since I’m not that big of a Batman fan… Oh, but I’d love to buy the bonus little Batmobile separately and put that into my Lego city.
