Big & Small LEGO Gingerbread House Review

LEGO designers really outdid themselves with the #10267 LEGO Winter Village Gingerbread House, the latest set in the LEGO Winter Village series. It’s cute, festive, funny, full of lovely parts and colors, and it really captures the spirit of the holidays.

And if that was not enough, LEGO is currently offering a mini version of the set, free with purchases of $99 or more. The exclusive #40337 LEGO Mini Gingerbread House recreates the shape, and many of the features of the full size set, including the four snow covered peaked roofs, the candy cane framed doors and windows, the chimney with fireplace, the colorful stained-glass windows, and all the candy elements.

The LEGO Winter Village sets are always highly anticipated this time of the year, as people would like to add something new to their Winter Village display. In fact, the theme has been going on for 10 years now, and those who have been collecting them from the very beginning will have a substantial display by now. Many LEGO fans also add other holiday sets to their display as well, like the Mini Gingerbread House. If you don’t have the #10267 LEGO Winter Village Gingerbread House already, I have included JANGBRiCKS review below for your viewing pleasure. It really is a lovely set.

And here is the official description of the set: Gather the family and build the wonderful Gingerbread House! Enjoy a festive build and play experience with the #10267 LEGO Creator Expert Gingerbread House. A treasure chest of magical details, this amazing model features frosted roofs with colorful candy buttons and a delicious façade with candy-cane columns, glittery windows and a tall chimney stack with a glowing fireplace. Inside the house, there is an array of fun details and candy furnishings including a tasteful bedroom with chocolate bed and cotton candy lamp, and a bathroom with the essential toilet and bathtub. This wonderful LEGO Gingerbread House sets the scene for imaginative adventures with the gingerbread family. Children can light up the cozy fireplace, help clear the sidewalk with the snow blower and nestle the gingerbread baby in its carriage. It also includes a decorated Christmas tree with wrapped gifts and toys, including a rocking horse and a toy train. This advanced LEGO set delivers a challenging and rewarding building experience and makes a great seasonal centerpiece for the home or office. Includes gingerbread man, woman and baby figures. 1,477 pieces. Price: $99.99 – BUY HERE

If you’re new to the LEGO Winter Village collection, please note that the #10263 LEGO Winter Village Fire Station from last year is also still available. The #10254 LEGO Winter Holiday Train from two years ago just sold out and is now shown as retired, but you may still be able to find it at retailers. See the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

A nice thing about the LEGO Winter Village sets is that you can tie them together with your own landscaping. You can add extra trees, snow hills, frozen ponds, little concession stands for selling all kinds of snacks. And populate the entire scene with your own minifigures, animals, vehicles, etc. The entire family can participate in adding a little something to display. It’s a fun activity for both adults and children. There is even a Fans of LEGO Winter Village Facebook Group with some fantastic layouts. And we already talked about the two volumes of the Expanding the LEGO Winter Village Books with additional creative ideas.

What do you think? Do you have any of the LEGO Winter Village sets? Do you set up your LEGO Winter Village for the holidays? Feel free to share your own displays or other people’s designs that you really like in the comment section below!

We love both of these sets. Some of the best sets in the Christmas collection.

They should do this in the future too. A small version of the full size set. Maybe it’s not always possible, but I like it.

There was also an even smaller gingerbread house a few years ago. That was a freebie too, if I recall correctly.

Hello, I just remembered this website and got hit by a wave of nostalgia, so decided to come and check in! Do you still remember me?

Also about the set, it looks really cool, definitely a nice set to put under the Christmas tree in my opinion! I think a couple of years ago they made something similar, but it was a lot smaller.

Yeah I am fine, haven’t been in here for a long time. How are you?

Doing pretty good, thanks. Had one of my brothers visit from the UK this year, so we had lost of outdoorsy fun. On the hobbies side, I got into Technic quite a bit this year, and also Playmobil Castle. Playmobil is something I didn’t touch since I was a little, but I miss LEGO Castle, and Playmobil has amazing castle sets. Made a Playmobil castle diorama with knights and villagers and all. My favorite set this year is the Ideas Tree House. But I plan to populate it with Elves. Have you seen the 2020 Ninjago sets? The minifigs are getting so detailed! 😀
