Vote for the Next LEGO Star Wars UCS Set!

Would you like to help choose the next LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set? Well, you’re in luck! LEGO is giving Star Wars fans a chance to decide on one of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars UCS sets! There are three models to choose from, but you can only vote once for one model. So choose wisely! Of these three models, which would you like to be an official set? Read below for details and enjoy making such an awesome decision!

STAR WARS NEBULON B ESCORT FRIGATE – Originally intended for the Imperial Navy, these ships were used as convoy escorts and made their first appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and appeared again in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and even in Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.

STAR WARS TIE BOMBER – Like a big brother version of the TIE Fighters, these ships were created to destroy large starships and were not meant for fast paced combat. With dual hulls – one for the pilot and one for the warhead launchers – this ship is featured in both Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

STAR WARS REPUBLIC GUNSHIP – Who can forget the epic moment when these ships dropped into the arena carrying the clones in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones during the Battle of Geonosis, rescuing Padmé and Jedi from Count Dooku?

Voting takes place on the LEGO Ideas website (just click on the link). Voting will be open until January 30th, 2020 at 10:00 AM CEST (4:00 AM EST). Simply select the image representing the model you would like to be a LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set, and add which minifigure you would like to see included. And you can also share why you made that choice. If you wish to potentially have your minifigure choice selected, please make sure you only suggest Star Wars characters.

Just to emphasize, we are not talking about voting for a regular LEGO Star Wars set here, but a LEGO Star Was Ultimate Collector Series set. This means it is going to be big, advanced, and intricate with thousands of pieces. Maybe even as big as the #75192 LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon and the #75252 LEGO Star Wars Star Destroyer. You can check them out at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? Which one of the three Star Wars ships would you like to see as an official LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! And most importantly, remember to vote!

OMG! This is so epic! The Frigate, please! They should do these types of votes more often.

I think I’ll have to go with the Republic Gunship, myself. It feels the most colorful and vivid. Perhaps the more rounded construction doesn’t lend itself too well to Lego, though.

(And I’m unlikely to buy the set, anyway…)

A Nebulon B UCS would be amazing. That’s my first choice. My second choicse is the Republic Gunship.

Keep in mind, that another season of the clone wars is coming out on Disney +. Lego may want to stick with the ” what’s big now ” aspect. So, the Republic Gunship is the more likely possibility. However, the nebulon-b escort frigate would be my choice because it’s new and different. I hope eventually all three will become sets again in the near future.

The gunship works better as a playset with minifigs and all. It’s not the best for the UCS class. The Nabulon B on the other hand could make a great display set.

    @Legostuff14

Then, there’s an implied promise here that the most popular choice would be made into a set. If Lego/ Disney would choose the second or third place choice, there would be badwill and a sense that they don’t care about their fans.

There’s a fine line between pleasing the fans and pleasing Disney at the same time. Of course we don’t know until the votes come in. I think the fans will win this round. I think Disney kind of has Lego on a leash and on how much wiggle room they can get on building certain sets. Of course Lego always puts their fans first.

The fact that they gave us these three choices indicates that these three projects are already approved by both Disney and Lego. It’s even possible that eventually, they will make all three. Getting fan votes gives them an idea which is the most popular. But maybe the numbers will be really close, which means that more than one could sell well.

Exactly . Eventually Lego will build all three sets.( one would hope that’s the plan). The question is which one will be built first .

Wow. It’s amazing they are doing this! The only thing with this is that the UCS set won’t be a surprize, but that’s okay. I rather haven them make something we voted for than something out of the blue. Good job, Lego.!

By the way, I also voted for the Nebulon. It’s something that was never done before.

  • TomTom January 26, 2020, 8:46 PM

I’m reading both here and on other forums that it seems like the Nebulon is the most popular. Although I like it a lot, I also think it’s going to be fragile. There is really not a good way to display such an odd shape.
