New Star Wars Sets & Series 20 Minifigs Available!

Four new LEGO Star Wars sets are available starting yesterday, all targeting adult LEGO Star Wars fans. The four sets include three LEGO Star Wars Helmets for display, as well as a large brick-built version of D-O, the little robot that we were introduced to in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In addition, Series 20 of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures also became available. Details below.

We already talked about the three LEGO Star Wars Helmets when they were first announced, but to recap, the collection includes the #75274 LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet, #75276 LEGO Star Wars Stormtrooper Helmet, and #75277 LEGO Star Wars Boba Fett Helmet. Each of the helmets are highly detailed replicas of the originals, and measure about 7” (18cm) high, 5” (13cm) wide and 5” (13cm) deep, with a base and nameplate. They are specifically meant for adult LEGO fans and collectors ages 18+. They each come with about 650 pieces, and the price is $59.99 each, which is really good! You can find them at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The cute #75278 LEGO Star Wars D-O buildable droid follows in the footsteps of the previously released #10225 LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 (from 2012) and the #75187 LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (from 2017) buildable droids. It comes with poseable antennas and its head tilts and rotates 360 degrees. A built-in display-stand, an information sign, and a minifig-scale D-O droid are also included. The buildable droid measures 10.5” (27cm) high, 4” (10cm) wide and 6” (16cm) deep, and comes with 519 pieces. The price is $69.99. If you already have the other two buildable droids, D-O would be a great addition to complete the iconic trio. You can find the set at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

As far as Series 20 of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures, this is an especially unique series as it celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Collectible Minifigs. We discussed the series previously (see links at the end of this post), but to summarize, it includes 16 unique characters, including Pajama Girl, Piñata Boy, Peapod Costume Girl, Sea Rescuer, Pirate Girl, Martial Arts Boy, Breakdancer, Super Warrior, Brick Costume Guy, Llama Costume Girl, Space Fan, Athlete, Tournament Knight, 80s Musician, Drone Boy and a Viking. Starting with the last series, the price have gone up to $4.99 per minifig, which is pretty high, so it’s hard to justify them as just an impulse-buy. Most collectors would want to get the exact minifigs they want to add to their collection, or purchase a whole box and sell the extras (to see how many of each minifig is in a box, read our full review). The series is available at the LEGO Minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? Are you planning to get any of the new LEGO Star Wars sets? And how about the Collectible Minifigures? Do you have any favorites? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

Finally! I have been looking forward to series 20! The helmets look cool too, but I don’t care so much for display sets.

Wow. I didn’t know D-O was coming out!

I want all the minifigs in this series!

It’s so funny that the keyboard of the keylar is backwards! I wonder if they are going to correct that in later releases.

I thought the series 20 minifigures we’re coming out May 1st? I was told by Lego customer service that the series was coming out later. I wish Lego would make up their mind. Don’t get me wrong , I’m happy that there out soon because it’s an inexpensive collectible item. I didn’t have to budget for this time. Is their any ideas about the summer city sets? I have some feed back on what the themes are ( maybe). I would love to see pictures.

Yes, in the original press-release they did say May 1st. But I guess with this whole virus thing a lot of things have changed. Expect the unexpected! 😀

The only news I know about the summer City sets is that there is going to be something with underwater exploration, and there is a hammerhead shark coming. 🙄

The fighter pilot helmet is my favorite. It looks awesome! I also like Boba Fett and the stormtrooper, but the pilot is my favorite. I wonder if they’re going to make more. I would love to get a Mandalorian helmet!

I like the helmets. I have a lot of Boba Fett items so I’ll get the Tie-fighter Pilot first. But will wait till May The 4th. I don’t have the budget to get much.

    Minifigures are great.

Thank you thita( admin). So, my mom was kind enough to order some of the new mini figures on line for me, but she had trouble with redeeming the VIP pionts. Call Lego customer service (was waiting on the phone for about a half an hour) in the middle of the waiting my mom ordered ten mini figures with out using the pionts. She finally talk to customer service and use the points and ordered something else for me.( ski Resort). So, this will keep me busy for a while. I finished the book shop Creator set and now working on the tuning shop. I’m liking the tuning shop set a lot . I also have the service station. Like I said I’ll be busy . I have about 8 Lego sets to build right now. 😀 I hope that my fellow Lego fans are as lucky ( and extremely grateful) as I am. Be safe and happy building.😎

Sounds like you will be busy for a while! Happy building. 😀

I’m also building stuff. I finally got the App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car, which I have been wanting since January! I finished building it over the weekend and have been playing around with it. Working on writing up a review right now. My next project is going to be the Book Shop. But I told myself I’m not allowed to open that set until I clean up my work area. 🙄

My work area looks like a psychotic Lego builder was there( me) lol. I have various city sets and modular buildings to make up my city and I just made a post office complete with cargo terminal in back of the post office. It’s hidden side meets Lego city. I’m using the monster fighters haunted house as Hidden Side headquarters.

    • Okosh April 20, 2020, 9:15 PM

I don’t even want to talk about my work area. Lol. It has several projects half-built, and not just Lego. One day, I will clean it up. I say that to myself every day. Are you talking about the big sand green monster fighters set? I’m so sad I missed out on that!

Haha! That sounds like a post apocalyptic city in full pandemic mode! 🙄
