I do plan to get this. It seems very well done and has a solid appearance, (though a bit run-down and haunted — which is good in this case!). I saw it available for order on the first day it was released to VIP, but didn’t order yet. But now showing “temporarily out of stock” for US Lego site. Perhaps more stock is available in other countries. I notice a lot of other larger sets are also showing “temporarily out of stock.” Not sure when it will come back available again. I suspect Lego is having production and supply issues just like many other businesses right now. Also it’s not uncommon for a large new set to go temporarily OOS in the first few days. The only question is whether it comes back within a few weeks, or in some cases months. But I’d guess they might be reserving some stock for the official (non-VIP) date, and of course for their retail stores (those that are open).

Chances are it will not see the light of day for several months. It went to 60 day backorder within 24 hours before it went out of stock. I was lucky enough to get two. They would not be able to save any for it’s June 1 release date without filling all orders that were 60 days out. They once again didn’t know how many they would need and I do understand most of the problem was due to the supply chain issues. Very evident in shop at home. I don’t see the supply of those sets coming back any time soon, maybe not even before the holiday season. If you had a lego store near you like I did, first day back open, I went and dropped a large dime to get ready to cash in on the secondary market.

I would have loved to have gotten one of these for my family. My partner and my grandsons are all big lego fans, as am I. Unfortunately that will not be likely to happen this year because of the scalpers. Hopefully Lego will be able to get some out before the end of the year, if not, I’ll eventually be trying to build this slowly by downloading the instructions and buying parts here and there as needed.

Guys the new friends bracelets are also available. I really liked the first wave, so I’m getting these too.

Do you mean Dots? I’m mostly interested in the decorated tiles, and might possibly try getting a few of them separately…

Oh, yes, sorry, I meant Dots. We call them friends bacelets in our household. 😀
