LEGO Ninjago: Master of the Mountain Teaser-Trailer

LEGO Ninjago Season 12: Prime Empire still haven’t aired officially in many regions, although the accompanying LEGO Ninjago sets have been available since the beginning of the year. A few days ago, LEGO released the teaser for the next season, Season 13, subtitled Master of the Mountain, which continues the story from the previous season. You can watch the teaser below, and I also included the official description and whatever else we know at this point about the upcoming season.

In LEGO Ninjago Season 13: Master of the Mountain, the ninja are invited to the beautiful Shintaro Kingdom to celebrate the young Princess Vania’s birthday. At first glance, the Ivory City looks like a pristine place, but the ninja soon uncover a dark, obscure, long-forgotten underworld: The Dungeons of Shintaro. Once inside, they must fight their way to freedom through a maze of tunnels paved with dangers and strange creatures ruled by the merciless Skull Sorcerer. The ninja must choose their path wisely…

Looks interesting, isn’t it? The mascot character of Season 13 is Cole, and as you can see in the trailer, the Skull Sorcerer is going to be the main antagonist, with the Awakened Warriors as the villainous faction. It’s worth noting the LEGO Ninjago sets related to Season 13 are already available in some countries. They include some interesting creatures and characters, like the awesome looking dragon for the Skull Sorcerer. And the ninja are dressed like knights and ninja at the same time – ninja knights?

The LEGO Ninjago Season 13 sets are as follows: #71717 LEGO Ninjago Journey to the Skull Dungeons, #71718 LEGO Ninjago Wu’s Battle Dragon, #71719 LEGO Ninjago Zane’s Mino Creature, #71720 LEGO Ninjago Fire Stone Mech, #71721 LEGO Ninjago Skull Sorcerer’s Dragon, and #71722 LEGO Ninjago Sorcerer’s Dungeons. There are also some new legacy sets coming, like the #71705 LEGO Ninjago Destiny’s Bounty. Even if the sets are not yet available in your region, you can already check out the pictures and add the sets you like to your wish-list at the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? Did you have a chance to watch the Season 12 episodes yet, and are you looking forward to Season 13? Did you notice any interesting details and clues? And how do you like the Season 13 sets? Are you planning to get any of them? Or do you have some of them already? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

So they are like knights now? I love their shields and shoulder armor!

So this is the D&D-inspired “RPG board game wave”? According to some comments I read, the rules and stats were apparently unexpectedly well developed for a Lego RPG-like board game…

I’m not sure on when this wave started developing, but it sounds like a good way to diversify between Ninjago and Monkie Kid, anyway…

I’m the complete opposite. I much prefer the ninjago animation over monkie kid. It just shows that both animation styles have fans. And I think it’s good they made them so different as the two themes could be too similar otherwise.

Mmm, now I’m interested. I’ve been debating back and forth about continuing collecting Ninjago because I have so many sets already from this theme. This also gives me an opportunity to combine other themes together ( like castle or maybe nexo Knights but, that can lead to Monkey Kid). If i do start collect this new wave, I think my my choice would be between the skull sorcerers dungeon or the skull sorcerers Dragon.

I noticed that the new female character has wings shown in the preview of the new season, but ,the minifigure doesn’t have any wings in the set that she comes in. ( skull Sorcerer’s dungeons).

That white “angelic” woman? Maybe she could summon them at will, and it would be too expensive to produce a new mold, or something?

By the way, maybe it’s my age, but this limited CGI animation doesn’t fly with me. The 2D animation of Monkie Kid, the claymation of the old Edward and Friends series or the stop-motion of old commercials has had bigger appeal…

Hm… that’s interesting! Maybe they develop wings as part of the story? 😀

I like that in each season they bring a different enemy. It keeps the story fresh. And I would love to get the updated destiny’s bounty. I liked every version of it so far.

So there’s no real recurring arch-enemy, as well? I’d guess Ninjago wouldn’t really go the route of killing off the enemies…

The show fell apart after the LEGO Ninjago Movie…different animation style, different look of the characters, different voice actors. Different isnt always bad, but in this case it was.

Yeah, that was a mistake fans were very upset about. It didn’t make any sense. 🙁
