September 2021 – New LEGO Sets & Promotions

According to the September LEGO Store Calendar, there is not much happening this month in terms of new special offers and promotions, however, some of the previous offers will continue throughout the month. In addition, there are several newly released sets that you might consider.

LEGO VIP members will receive a free #6373621 LEGO Swing Ship Ride set with any purchase of $85 or more while supplies last from 9/6 – 9/12. Until 9/19, you can get a free #30389 LEGO Super Mario Fuzzy & Mushroom Platform Expansion Set with purchases of any LEGO Super Mario product $40 or more. During the entire month of September, you can get a free LEGO Master’s Book of Secrets with purchases of any LEGO Classic products over $60. And from 9/13 – 9/30, shoppers will receive a free fan-created #40487 LEGO Sailboat Adventure set with purchases over $200 while supplies last. You can take advantage of these offers at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

As far as new sets, the four new LEGO Advent Calendars we talked about recently (see: 2021 LEGO Advent Calendars Overview) are now available. To recap, this year, we are getting five calendars to choose from; the #41690 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar, the #60303 LEGO City Advent Calendar, the #75307 LEGO LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, the #76196 LEGO Avengers Advent Calendar, and the #76390 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar.

We also got four new LEGO Jurassic World sets; the #76939 LEGO Jurassic World Stygimoloch Dinosaur Escape, the #76940 LEGO Jurassic World T. rex Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition, the #76941 LEGO Jurassic World Camotaurus Dinosaur Chase, and the #76942 LEGO Jurassic World Baryonix Dinosaur Boat. I’m expecting that the dino fossil set is going to be especially popular. You can find all four sets at the LEGO Jurassic World section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The highly anticipated #75319 LEGO Star Wars The Armorer’s Mandalorian Forge is also now available. It features a mythosaur logo over the entrance, a detachable forge with a rotating exhaust hood and melting pot, hologram, various machinery and storage cabinets, and assorted accessory elements including three beskar bars and a thermal detonator. The three minifigs are The Mandalorian, Paz Vizsla, and The Armorer. This is only a $30, but it packs so many iconic details! It’s available at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The recently announced LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures are now available as well. The collection includes twelve characters from Marvel Studios Original series WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…?, featuring The Scarlet Witch, The Vision, Monica Rambeau, Winter Soldier, Captain America, Loki, Sylvie, T’Challa Star-Lord, Captain Carter, Gamora with the Blade of Thanos, Zombie Hunter Spidey and Zombie Captain America. The series is available at various retailers and at the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The also recently announced #76391 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons Collector’s Edition set is also now available. You can read more about the set at LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons Collector’s Edition, and find it at the LEGO Harry Potter section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Although September is a little quieter as far as new sets and promotions, this is a good thing as it allows us to catch up on all the new releases from the past couple of months. And of course, the holiday season is going to be upon us soon with even more exciting new sets. If you would like to see everything that’s new, visit the new releases section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Hmm, I might possibly buy some pre-opened Marvel CMF’s and the Marvel Advent Calendar. And maybe some new pieces separately from Bricks And Pieces if something interesting will come up.

Otherwise, I found some dropped off Lego by the recycling station again. This time, most of 40416 Ice Skating Rink, the bulk of 41330 Stephanie’s Soccer Practice (except for Stephanie and the dog) and a loose Road Runner minifig. A few pieces had some grime on it, but nothing worse than what could be washed away…

Ha! Nice find! I wish we had stores like that! 😀

          It’s not a store. In practice, it’s a dumping ground. @_@

But it was a nice find.

(I’m also frequenting a freeshop regularly for swapping things, but I haven’t found much Lego there…)

Yes, for the calendars, probably all four. And I really like the dinosaur fossil exhibition.

Just a heads up. Besides the sets listed, there are two new Batman Tumbler sets available for preorder. They won’t be released until later though.

The mandalorian set is so cool! I’m definitely getting that one. And I also want the Star Wars advent calendar. I think that’s it.

Thanks for the update. Is there going to be a double vip period anytime soon?

    • Master Builder September 2, 2021, 1:01 PM

They have a couple of Minecraft sets with double vip points right now, but the next generic one probably won’t be until the holiday season.

      • Håkan September 2, 2021, 1:48 PM

Hmm, the main Double VIP Points periods appeared pretty regularly from one year to the next, if I remember right.
