LEGO Ideas Home Alone House Designer-Video

The recently released #21330 LEGO Ideas Home Alone set recreates many of the instantly recognizable details, delightful features, and hilarious scenes from the family-favorite Christmas comedy movie. And it is even more than that. It is the closest set we have ever gotten to a traditional large dollhouse.

There is everything you need to stage Kevin’s fake Christmas party; a basement furnace with a LEGO light brick, iron-drop function, swinging paint cans, collapsible shelves, zip line from the attic to the treehouse, and more. Each level of the house is detachable, and the walls and roof open up for easy access.

The set includes five minifigures of Kevin McCallister, mom Kate McCallister, crooks Harry and Marv, and neighbor ‘Old Man’ Marley, plus Harry and Marv’s van. With 3,957 pieces, this is the biggest LEGO Ideas set so far and the bricks are divided into bags following the movie’s plotline, so you can relive the story as you build during the holidays.

In the video below, LEGO Designers Enrique Beixer and Antica Bracanov, LEGO Graphic Designer Kristen Nielsen, and LEGO Ideas Design Manager Sam Johnson will show you all the fun details and features of the set.

The #21330 LEGO Ideas Home Alone set would definitely make a great gift for the holidays! If you want to get your own copy, visit the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.

You’re right. This is totally a doll house. Maybe not as good looking as the Playmobil doll houses, but still the best we got from Lego.

Too big and expensive for me, but I like doll houses, on a general rule.

If you have a similar looking house, you now have a blueprint of how to build it. I like how the walls open towards the front.
