LEGO Star Wars Diorama Sets Press-Release

Today, the LEGO Group unveiled a new collection of LEGO Star Wars Diorama building sets to help fans relive their favorite scenes from the original trilogy in LEGO brick form. Below are the details.

The three new sets span iconic scenes from Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back to give fans a new way of exploring their love for the early films while building a model they can proudly display once complete.

Inspired by Star Wars: A New Hope, the #55329 LEGO Star Wars Death Star Trench Run Diorama invites builders to recreate the gripping scene of Darth Vader’s pursuit of Luke Skywalker, as Luke fights to destroy the newly-built Death Star for a victory on the Rebellion side. Finish off the build with the memorable words of Darth Vader, “The Force is strong with this one”. The set measures over 4 in. (10 cm) high, 8.5 in. (22 cm) wide, and 6 in. (15 cm) deep, and comes with 665 pieces. Prices are as follows: 89.99 AUD / 79.99 CAD / 59.99 EUR/ 54.99 GBD / 59.99 USD

Continue the journey with the crushingly dramatic Star Wars: A New Hope scene in the #75339 LEGO Star Wars Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama, where Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia Organa are temporarily stranded after freeing the princess from Detention Block AA-23, with this Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama building set. Packed with authentic details including moving walls, a dianoga’s head, and famous characters like C-3PO, R2-D2, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia, fans will have no shortage of key features to showcase in this set. Channel your focus and have fun with Han Solo’s witty remark: “One thing’s for sure, we’re all gonna be a lot thinner,” to complete this legendary moment. The set measures over 4 in. (10 cm) high, 8 in. (21 cm) wide, and 6 in. (15 cm) deep, and comes with 802 pieces. Prices are as follows: 149.99 AUD / 119.99 CAD / 89.99 EUR/ 79.99 GBD / 89.99 USD

And if fans are looking to homage “feeling the Force,” simply find your balance with the #75330 LEGO Star Wars Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama building set. The striking display lets training Jedi relive moments from Master Yoda’s hut in the swamps of Dagobah while recreating the details of this iconic Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back scene. Complete with minifigures representing the characters of Yoda, Luke Skywalker, and R2-D2. The set measures over 6 in. (16 cm) high, 11 in. (29 cm) wide, and 6.5 in. When I first saw the box cover for 75339 LEGO Star Wars Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama, it looked as if Leia was a curvy minifig raising her arm in battle, but then I realized it was just some piping and the photoshoot angle.

As most star wars Lego sets the prices are out of this world and down right insane. To each their own. I guess. Or my grandmother would say” just another thing to dust”. I like the sets , hate the prices.

I said, oh, cool sets, but then, like you, I looked at the prices. Holy crap!

I hope to get all three. Really great! I wonder if they are going to make more sets like this.

I find it a little weird that two of them are minifig scale and one is micro scale. They should all have minifigs in my opinion, even if just for display.

I like the Dagobah one. Especially because of that crazy tree. 😀 Might get that one.
