Huge LEGO Eiffel Tower Coming Soon!

The LEGO Group has today revealed its tallest build yet – the breathtaking new #10307 LEGO Eiffel Tower set. One of the world’s most recognizable landmarks, the new LEGO set will immediately transport you to the heart of Paris.

Embodying the famous landmark’s height and standout architecture, this towering LEGO set reaches a magnificent 149cm / 58inches / 4.8ft tall once built, making it the ultimate statement in brick form. (Size details are as follows: 58.5 in. (149 cm) high, 22.5 in. (57 cm) wide, and 22.5 in. (57 cm) deep.) This is the tallest LEGO set to date!

A magnificent way to add a new display piece to your home, the 10,001 piece set is designed to authentically replicate the momentous wrought iron tower – complete with the beautiful truss-work, three observation platforms, landscaping, elevators, an office at the top, and a broadcast tower and the Tricolore flag at its peak. The set can also be separated into four sections, making it manageable to build, move and play with.

The Eiffel tower was constructed from 1887 to 1889 as the centerpiece of the 1889 World’s Fair. Despite receiving initial criticism for its design, it has since become a global, cultural icon and one of the most recognizable structures in the world.

Describing the process of designing the new set, Rok Žgalin Kobe, LEGO Designer comments: “We wanted to find the ultimate LEGO expression for the engineering and architectural masterpiece that is the Eiffel tower. We followed the structural principles of the original tower as closely as the LEGO System would allow. During the build,  you’ll uncover interesting, novel LEGO building techniques that bring the tower’s architectural features to life in LEGO bricks. Once complete you can imagine the breathtaking feeling of standing at the top and looking across the rich history of Paris. It is the perfect set for travel and architecture fans alike.”

The LEGO Eiffel Tower set is available is going to be available from the 25th of November via official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop. Prices are as follows: £554.99/ €629.99 / $629.99 / 999.99 AUD / 799.99 CAD. For more information and pictures, visit the LEGO Icons section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I would love to build that!

But I don’t really want to have a giant Eiffel Tower in my house when I’m done.

This is the dilemma so many of us have. We want to build these massove sets, but no room to display them. 🤔

That’s insane! But as others said, I don’t know what I would do with it or where I would put it. This is a museum piece.

This is too big for me. I don’t have the patience for big sets like this. Especially with repetitive elements. It’s impressive, but I will pass.

Even at this immense scale it is still only 1/5th of a minifigure scale (assuming a minifigure is based on a 6ft / 180cm human height).

This set is insane, although it’s cleverly constructed to contain exactly 10 001 pieces… It looks like a rather repetitive build, though, and I wouldn’t have any idea on where to place it in my cluttered apartment…

I’ve heard some speculation that this might be a peak/ outlier year for giant D2C sets, though. There have been so many produced, and many seem to sell relatively poorly…

Is there some data that they are selling poorly? I always wondered about how they’re doing.

The Black Panther bust would soon get a 5x VIP points offer on Lego.com. Although that’s only for a weekend, it’s an indication it doesn’t seem to do so well. (I guess it’s a combination of a relatively niche MCU character, and the massive size and pricing.)

Now I found it. This week only, several of Lego’s largest sets would have a VIP deal where you could either A.) shop online and trade 100 VIP Points for roughly a 100 US$ discount or B.) shop in the store with 5x VIP Points, which might roughly be 20-25% off.

It’s not ‘technically’ a discount, since it would require you to both be a VIP Member, and also purchase something else with your points, but it’s an immensely good offer compared to Lego’s usual official deals.
