LEGO Icons Moving Truck Promotion Begins!

A fantastic little set is now available as a freebie at the Online LEGO Shop. The #40586 LEGO Icons Moving Truck is free with purchases of $180 or more at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

The set comes with 301 pieces and two minifigures. According to the description, they are on their way to deliver furniture to a jazz club (obviously referring to the new #10312 LEGO Icons Jazz Club, the latest in the LEGO Modular Buildings series). Items include a brick-built jukebox, a piano, a dresser, and a painting.

The moving truck features a removable roof and opening doors, and everything included in the set fits inside the truck – tightly, I might say.

The decorations on the truck are stickers, and there is also a sticker for a 2×2 tile representing the top of a moving box with TO: JAZZ CLUB written as the addressee. The keys on the piano are two printed 1×2 tiles.

I quite like this set. It provides a useful LEGO City-style vehicle as well as some nice furniture pieces. Even though it is meant as an add-on to the #10312 LEGO Icons Jazz Club, it would work well in any LEGO City display. Perhaps the only feature I’m not too fond of is that the torsos of both minifigs are very common. Something a bit rare or new would have been welcome.

The $180 minimum purchase price is high though. However, if you already had a larger set in mind to get this month, this set is a nice addition. The offer is valid until March 3rd or while supplies last at the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? How do you like this free-with-purchase set? Feel free to share in the comment section below!

That’s a decent set. I like the design. Might build it on my own. No plans to spend that much this month. Or the next..

I like this set, but I wish I could just buy it.

Although Lego has adjusted the logo here to imply a faux-retro look, that transport logo has been around for some decades now…

And well, the car is cute, but the threshold is too high for me, after my recent Blacktron GWP spending, and I seriously need to consider my available space by now. I have to be careful buying City vehicles, unless they’d be useful for my potential upcoming Marvel NYC build.
