Celebrate a legend of British automotive design with the #11381 LEGO Icons Jaguar E-Type, an authentic car model kit created for adult builders and collectors. This detailed replica, with a classic green body and wire-style alloys, faithfully recreates the sleek silhouette and elegant curves of the landmark 77 RW E-Type sports car. Lift the bonnet to reveal the famed inline-6 engine, then open the doors or fold back the textile roof to explore the cockpit with a detailed dashboard and working steering. The “Mayor Manor” is a possibility for me; the others not. I tend to look only at sets that can fit into my city layout.
There’s also an income/budget crunch. I’d love Lego to create usable city sets (or other themes that can be adapted to city) in the $0 to $60 dollar range. Even trucks for $30, instead of $20, is no longer doable for me.
Yeah, I know what you mean. LEGO discovered that if they pack a lot of pieces in a small set and raise the piece-count and price, people will still buy them. Nowadays, even sets targeting kids are so parts-heavy and thus pricey. We can only get simple sets like in the old days in the 4+ category and Creator. But the market is also saturated, so getting LEGO second hand has become a lot easier.
I have so much old Lego by now, that I need to look for “deal-sealers” in the batches before I buy them.
I should sell off some of the less useful stuff…
