LEGO Ideas Haunted Halloween Contest!

A couple of days ago, the LEGO Ideas team introduced a new contest, this time with a spine-chilling Halloween theme! They are looking for builds that capture the atmosphere of Halloween, so if you’ve got an idea that’s been haunting your imagination, now’s the time to turn it into a scary scene with a story of its own! Below are the details.

Halloween is sneaking closer, and it’s time to get building! The LEGO Ideas team wants you to create a haunted scene so atmospheric that everyone who sees it will want to know the story behind it. The setting could be a mysterious old house, a haunted graveyard, a moonlit forest – or somewhere completely unexpected.

To help guide your ghostly build, ask yourself some questions, such as: Who lives here? What happened just before this moment? And what might happen next?

Think about the details that can make your scene feel real – from the characters and creatures that inhabit it, to the setting and the time of day. You could capture a quiet moment before the action begins, a Halloween celebration in full swing, or a moment of suspense that’s straight from a terrifying tale.

Make your Haunted Halloween scene eerie, enchanting, funny or frightening – it’s up to you! Perhaps your haunted house has a rather unusual resident, your graveyard is getting ready for a midnight gathering, or your forest comes alive under the full moon. The LEGO Ideas team is ready to jump out of their seats! Come up with your scary scene and share your build!

Remember: the best Halloween scenes are all about the details. Add grinning pumpkins, fluttering bats and gliding ghosts, and make it memorable by adding your own special twist. Maybe a mischievous black cat is watching from the rooftop, or your scene takes inspiration from the colorful traditions of Day of the Dead. Think about what you want people to notice first, what’s happening in your scene, and what might happen next. Every brick and character can add atmosphere to your creation.

There will be 5 grand prize selections for this challenge, who will each receive the following sets: #11383 LEGO Icons Mayor Manor, #21369 LEGO Ideas The X-Files, #21351 LEGO Ideas Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, #40872 LEGO Halloween Pumpkin Lantern, #40883 LEGO Halloween Skull Candle, #21349 LEGO Ideas Tuxedo Cat, #21361 LEGO Ideas Gremlins Gizmo, and #40825 LEGO Halloween Wreath.

It’s kinda vague what they want. But I’m curious to see the entries.
