LEGO has released three Star Trek-related sets to date. The #10356 LEGO Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D and the #40768 LEGO Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod became available last year, and this year LEGO added the #11385 LEGO Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge.
The #10356 LEGO Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D is a highly detailed replica of Starfleet’s legendary flagship. Although the set includes minifigures, the model itself is not built at minifigure scale. Instead, it is primarily a display model focused on capturing the ship’s distinctive exterior details.
However, many fans also wanted to see an accurate recreation of the Enterprise’s interior, so it made sense for LEGO to focus on some of its most iconic interior sections in a separate set. It also made sense to build the interior at minifigure scale, making it much more suitable for play, photography, and display.
The #11385 LEGO Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge comes with 1,701 pieces and recreates the bridge and transporter room, complete with detailed computer stations and a screen featuring a Klingon warrior. The design is modular, allowing you to remove and rearrange the different sections. This is a useful feature for display, especially if you want to incorporate the sections into a larger custom layout.
The set also includes several fun play features. You can rock the captain’s chair to simulate space turbulence and dramatic battle scenes, turn a dial to beam crew members from the transporter pads, and push a lever to open the turbolift doors.
The eight crew members included in the set are James T. Kirk, Spock, Nyota Uhura, Hikaru Sulu, Leonard McCoy, Pavel Chekov, Christine Chapel, and Montgomery Scott.
I particularly like the highly detailed computer stations, which use a combination of stickered and printed elements. They add a tremendous amount of detail to the bridge, and the holographic stickers are especially fantastic! In the video review below, JANGBRiCKS takes a close-up look at these details and demonstrates how the various play features work.
If you prefer display models that focus on the exterior of a spacecraft, the #10356 LEGO Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D may be the better choice. However, if you prefer displaying interiors, playing with your sets, posing minifigures, or using LEGO for photography and stop-motion animation, the #11385 LEGO Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge offers something quite different. Both sets are available from the LEGO Icons section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Man, I remember when only Mega Bloks made Star Trek sets and we all wished Lego made them too. These are fantastic! Although I wish the prices were a little better.
Yep. I remember that too. I have seen some great MOCs from those days though. Even custom minifigs! By the way, the Mega sets were pretty good. And they had all printed pieces.
That isn’t the Enterprise-D Bridge…
Yeah, I think that was mistake in the text.
At this rate, they’ll have to do the TNG bridge and the TOS ship as well!
Loving it, but more minifigs, please!
