When I shop for LEGO on BrickLink, I often check if the seller has some interesting and unique LEGO pieces I can add to my order. Recently I picked up a LEGO Scala table-leg piece that looked interesting: LEGO Scala Table Legs. This LEGO Scala piece is available in orange, salmon and lime. I got an orange one.
LEGO Scala is a discontinued line by the LEGO Group that consisted of dollhouses with Barbie-like figures. Although everything is a much larger scale than regular LEGO, some of the pieces can be interesting additions to your own LEGO creations.
LEGO Scala pieces have special, flower-shaped studs. They are compatible with regular LEGO bricks and plates that are 2×2, 2×4, 2×6, etc. size. Also, you can attach 1×1 round plates and round bricks in between, or in the middle of, each flower-shaped stud.
I was very excited when I received this LEGO Scala piece! To me it looked like a Torii, or Japanese Gate. I made this little scene with it:
The legs of the LEGO Scala piece are a bit wobbly if you try to place them on top of regular studs, but it fits very snuggly in between studs. And I already mentioned that attaching pieces on top is no problem. Hope my ninja likes it too! What do you think? 😉
