Jabba’s palace is so cool. Debating on collecting all the planets. Already have the Deat Star. I will get the 2012 advent calendar.

When I first saw that republic striker I thought it was supposed to be red X-wing. 🙂 And that new Jabba’s palace looks great!

Thelegodude19 February 9, 2012 at 7:28 PM

What is the Republic Striker from? Or the Fury class interceptor?? EU?

admin February 9, 2012 at 8:16 PM

I agree; Jabba’s Palace is one of the best LEGO sets I have seen. It is just gorgeous! I’m also debating about collecting the planets. I’m not sure if there is going to be more than Series 1 & 2. I think the planets themselves could be great in MOCs, but they are a bit pricey for my taste. Perhaps wait for a sale. 😉

admin February 9, 2012 at 8:17 PM

Quad, yeah, it is basically a red X-wing, but I don’t think it has the X-factor. 😉

admin February 9, 2012 at 8:23 PM

Yes, it is from the Expanded Universe. Here is some info on it from Brickipedia: “Republic Striker Starfighters were used by the Republic before and during the Great Galactic War. Some of these starfighters were deployed in the first battle of the Great War, however all were destroyed by the Sith Empire’s forces. Several of these fighters were known to have been used many years after the initial conflict, during the Battle of Alderaan.”

They are both from The Old Republic video game. I think that it’s cool that LEGO is making sets from it!

They are not that expensive , for someone like me that buys big sets. Only $10 compared to the $400 for the REAL Death Star.

Taylor Francis April 1, 2012 at 5:27 AM

I cannot wait for that epic Malevolence set! Immediately when it’s out, I’m buying it! I love the minifigures, espcially Grievous and Count Dooku! I don’t like the new Padme minifigures but everything else is absolutely amazing!

But does it contain an Ahsoka minifigure? I keep seeing her on the box but not with the set. I’m confushed. Can anyone tell me if she is in the set or not? Please reply

admin April 1, 2012 at 9:53 AM

Taylor, I do have an updated post on these at LEGO Star Wars Summer Sets – More Pictures!. Please note that the box-art is preliminary and unfinished. LEGO often use minifigure stand-ins for preliminary box images. As far as I know Ahsoka is not in this set. 😉
