Hey Admin, I don’t have time to do the 2014 Star Wars sets sorry ๐Ÿ™

admin December 19, 2013 at 11:47 AM

Thanks for letting me know. I was wondering about that. I will just do it myself. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Chi-bacca December 19, 2013 at 10:30 AM

There ae some very good sets here and despite being a marvel fan the DC sets definitely excel the marvel ones.
Off topic but Iโ€™ve entered a stopmotion contest and if anyone wants to support me, thumbs up this video
Also do vote for others there are some amazing videos that I think deserve top position. Oh and if you already voted thanks!
Keep building.

I agree the Batman set a are better. Spider-man doesn’t need a bike. I like the Spider-man Helicopter but Not the Green Goblin that in it. I’ll get the Doc Ock set.

ninja of stealth December 20, 2013 at 11:56 AM

when are these sets coming out?

admin December 20, 2013 at 12:06 PM

Not sure yet. Haven’t heard of an official announcement. But my guess is early next year.

coz December 19, 2013 at 11:32 AM

So, what you are telling me is that, they might be at Toys R Us over this weekend?

admin December 19, 2013 at 11:47 AM

TRU is usually early, but I wouldn’t shop there. Their prices are way over the top.

Chris of Yoda Archives December 19, 2013 at 2:58 PM

I was just at TRU they had one box of LEGO Movie minifigs. But no sets.

admin December 19, 2013 at 3:09 PM

The official release date of The LEGO Movie sets is December 29th. ๐Ÿ˜‰

ninja of stealth December 20, 2013 at 11:57 AM

what! you saw the box of minifigs? lucky. last time I went to TRU I didn’t see the minifigure packs, and plus it was a mad house there! ๐Ÿ™„

ninja of stealth December 19, 2013 at 12:37 PM

too bad there is no X-Men sets! I really wanted Cyclops and Storm! ๐Ÿ˜ฅ oh well this is a pretty good wave of sets! definitely lots to chose from! ๐Ÿ˜€ that duck vehicle is awesome! I bet my sister will be picking up the long waited Flash! (funny usually he’s the one waiting for you ๐Ÿ™„ ) did anyone notice that Thor is the older version like one you could be in the video game? also I hope they realese another one with Falcon in it because I’m not a huge fan of one-wall building sets (except the fire temple. that was worth buying! ๐Ÿ˜€ ) they always fall apart. ๐Ÿ™

Micho December 20, 2013 at 5:34 PM

Brikipedia states that there will be a couple of X Men sets coming out later in 2014, probably linked to the Movie Days of Future Past

Fikko3107 December 21, 2013 at 1:59 AM

Really? I’m pretty sure LEGO got the license from Sony to make Amazing Spider-Man sets, but I don’t think they have rights to make sets based on the X-Men movies. Though then again, they might just release comic book versions but with the intent to capitalize on the movie.

The Chosen Minifigure December 20, 2013 at 7:19 PM

I personally love building sets.
Much more playability than vehicles.

Bohrok Tru December 19, 2013 at 2:21 PM

that electical dude that Spidyman is chasing… are his arms and head tranclucent? or does it just appear that they are?

admin December 19, 2013 at 3:10 PM

Yep, translucent arms! ๐Ÿ˜€

ninja of stealth December 20, 2013 at 11:59 AM

that’s it! I have to get that guy.( guy as in the lightning dude Spider-man is chasing.) and Falcon.

Micho December 20, 2013 at 5:33 PM

LOL, I think it’s funny how this summer EVERYONE will know who Electro is ๐Ÿ˜€

Fikko3107 December 21, 2013 at 2:06 AM

You know, I’m slightly disappointed it’s not the classic Electro. That, in my opinion, looks better than the Ultimate version. But seeing as the sets are based on a cartoon called “Ultimate Spider-Man”, I suppose it’s only logical they base it off the Ultimate version.

Regarding the Falcon, that’s the minifigure I’m most disappointed for this wave. His wings are attached to his arms! They don’t stick out like that if his arms are straight!

Thelegofreak December 19, 2013 at 8:48 PM

I like the penguin face-off, but who’s Damian Wayne.

Chris of Yoda Archives December 20, 2013 at 1:56 AM

Batman’s son and one of the many to Robin.

~EliteBrick~ December 20, 2013 at 8:08 AM

Then who’s his wife?

Fikko3107 December 20, 2013 at 3:26 PM

Bruce Wayne never got married, but the mother is…Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, one of Batman’s nemesis who is literally immortal. Recently though, Damian got killed in a fight against Leviathan, an adult clone of him. Batman, in despair, went around looking for a way to revive his son. That storyline though is left more-or-less in a hiatus, due to the New 52 Reboot. Damian Wayne is unique among the Robins because his personality is grim and serious, like Batman, but unlike the Robins before him such as Dick Grayson and Tim Drake, who are more fun-loving and lighthearted. This leads to a very interesting partnership when Dick took Batman’s mantle temporarily, with Damian as his Robin. The personality becomes switched-Batman is lighthearted, where Robin is gritty and serious.

Micho December 20, 2013 at 5:17 PM

“Who is his Batwife?” would be the correct question

Micho December 20, 2013 at 5:32 PM

But seriously, Damian’s mom is Thalia Al Ghul, R’as Al Ghul’s daughter

Micho December 20, 2013 at 5:14 PM

can’t beat that Flash, Barbara Gordon “Batgirl”, and the Jack Nicholson Joker!!!

CD's Lego Blog December 21, 2013 at 10:41 PM

Hi! I am a daily reader and I love this blog. I have a question I don’t know if it is possible for you to answer. When you put pictures of sets up like this, are they copyrighted? I mean, are we allowed to use Lego’s pictures like that on our website? I would like to have the information to know whether or not I can use them in my blog posts.

By the way, thank you for showing these pictures! I am definitely going to get the Captain America set. It looks awesome!

admin December 22, 2013 at 10:23 AM

Yes, you can use them. As long as the images are not market as confidential they are fine to use.

CD's Lego Blog December 22, 2013 at 10:57 AM

Thanks! That’s good to know!

Ike December 31, 2013 at 3:03 PM
