LEGO Bike Shop & Fairground sets available!

Two very interesting LEGO Creator sets just became available a few days ago. LEGO Creator sets are nice, solid designs, but they are usually not known for being particularly exciting. Not this time; both the #31026 LEGO Creator Bike Shop & Cafe and the #10244 LEGO Creator Fairground Mixer are really interesting sets a lot of LEGO fans are talking about. 🙂

LEGO Fairground Mixer Available

We have talked about both LEGO Creator sets before (see links at the end of this post), and today I wanted to share with you the video-reviews of both sets by JANGBRiCKS, so you can see all the interesting details and functions. If you are interested in either of these sets they’re worth watching!

#31026 LEGO Creator Bike Shop & Cafe Box

#31026 LEGO CREATOR BIKE SHOP & CAFE: Open a world of adventures with this exciting 3-in-1 Bike Shop & Cafe. Serve delicious muffins and espresso coffee to your customers at the cozy cafe. Then visit the neighboring bike shop, buy the cool red bike that’s for sale, mount it on your car rack and head for the hills! Fold out the Bike Shop & Cafe for your very own main street, where you can add your own LEGO creations! What kind of shop will you build next? You can also rebuild the set to create an auto repair shop or a flower shop. Includes 3 minifigures: 2 men and a woman. 1023 pieces. Price: $89.99 – BUY HERE

#10244 LEGO CREATOR FAIRGROUND MIXER: Unfold the awesome Fairground Mixer, turn the crank and see it come to life! The fair has come to town and children and adults alike can’t wait to try the rides. Buy your ticket from the ticket booth and climb aboard the Mixer. Then try reaching the golden bell on the high striker or hit the target to plunge the dunk tank lady into the water. As evening falls, the swirling Mixer ride glows in the darkness, before being folded down onto its own trailer for transportation to the next town. This magical fairground is packed with wonderful details that will capture everyone’s imagination. Includes 12 minifigures: a juggling man on stilts, dunk tank lady, strong man challenger, ticket lady, truck driver/ride operator, 2 women, 2 girls, 2 boys and a queasy man who tried the mixer one too many times. 1746 pieces. Price: $149.99 – BUY HERE

Aren’t they interesting? Jang doesn’t show a picture of this in the video, but on the side of the box of the LEGO Bike Shop & Cafe there is a picture lining up all three versions of the two buildings (a total of six), creating a whole street! I saw this when I was at Toys’R’Us recently, but unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me to snap a good photo. But it definitely looked like a smaller version of a LEGO Modular street! 😀

#31026 LEGO Creator Bike Shop & Cafe

As far as the LEGO Fairground Mixer, it is a magical set with so much  going on it is hard to take it all in without seeing it personally. It would fit well in any LEGO City setting, or even in addition to the LEGO Winter Village sets, or just on its own.

First comment! I might get the bike shop w/my money

  • Kim May 30, 2014, 1:01 PM

I’m definitely getting both of them. I’m not going to be able to get the Fairground Mixer as early as I wanted to but I look forward to getting it at a later date. When I get the Bike Shop and Cafe though I might try to make the Bike shop another kind of shop because looking through Legodom, bike shops are very common and show up in many sets. I’m not sure i need that many bike shops. I do also like the alternate build instructions, which I usually don’t except for the ones on the Beach House.

Kim, yeah, both sets are nice. I just talked with William who already got the Mixer and he highly recommends it too. As far as the bike shop, sure, customize away! Stores go in and out of business all the time – especially if there is a gazillion similar stores in the city already. 😉

at the beginning: “LEGO Creator sets are nice, solid designs, but they are usually known for being particularly exciting.” Don’t you mean known for NOT being particularly exciting?

    • admin May 30, 2014, 1:35 PM

Yeah, that’s what I meant. Thanks for catching that. I’m glad I have you guys here as my editors, otherwise I would be talking gibberish all the time.

        lol, haha

  • BLProductions May 30, 2014, 1:40 PM

They both look nice, but I’m not interested in them. Saving up for 70725, 60034, 60036, 79003, 70705, 75050, and 70164. Although it might be 5 years until I have enough for that… 🙁
How is the Mixer available though? It’s not on Lego Shop for me. Is it only VIP accessible? 😕

    • admin May 30, 2014, 1:46 PM

Yes, VIP’s only until the 1st of June for the Mixer.

Oh that reminds me, off topic, I’ve been trying to figure out how to incorporate my train when I get my sets built and I was looking at the Lego Movie set https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=xFjNjMCCUsg&mid=13923&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lego.com%2Fen-us as a possible way to have a raised track situation with those supports, do you think that would work? Could they support a passenger train? This is my train: https://brickset.com/sets/4561-1/Railway-Express.

    • admin May 30, 2014, 5:21 PM

I think they should work, if you are using enough. I’m pretty sure I have seen some raised train tracks with the kind of support. I would suggest to search for pictures of LEGO train displays at the various LEGO conventions.

        Fantastic! That’s perfect!
