You can buy these LEGO Christmas tree ornaments at Chris’ online shop at Powerpig.Storenvy.com. There are traditional looking tree ornaments in various colors and shapes, and also other cute little holiday kits (like the LEGO Gingerbread Train, LEGO Gingerbread Shop and LEGO Santa Sketch) – all for reasonable prices. You can also get some other really nice LEGO models; retro TV, game-console, refrigerator, typewriter, phone, computer, camera, etc. – all built of LEGO. All of the kits include the parts you need to build each of the projects, and you can download the building instructions online.

And if you have the LEGO elements needed already, you don’t need to buy the kits, you can just download the instructions for free at Chris’ website at ChrisMcVeigh.com. There are many-many designs to choose from and play with. You can see all the holiday related building instructions here, and all instructions available here. Just click on the instruction you want, and it will open as a PDF file that you can use right away, or download to your computer for later use. The instructions include a parts-list and a step-by-step guide to put together the model you have chosen – similar to what you would find in official LEGO instruction booklets.

Great looking stuff. I have a couple of his building instructions. Now I just need to build them.

I grabbed those arcade cabinet instructions. I hope they are relatively minifig scale because I want to do an arcade build.

Kim, I haven’t built them, but they appear to be pretty reasonably sized for minifigs.

I shall be modifying the gingerbread house and shop for my mini display 🙂

That train has some sweet techniques on it! They are all pretty neat, though. A Millennium Falcon… I’ve built a ton of minis of those, but none look like that one… maybe a better parts selection. 😐 Just curious, but how many pieces is the refrigerator that it’s priced at $89.50?
Also, the Unexpected Gathering went “call to check product availability” today ( 😮 I knew I should’ve gotten it yesterday), and now my mom won’t let me buy it before it’s sold out! She claims it isn’t worth it, “you don’t want to buy that” she told me. Well, it turns out I DO want to buy it, but I can’t seem to convince her. 😡 But I sense she’s in that blatantly secretive Christmas mode, and she may be getting it for me…. 😕

Moms are mysterious beings. You never know what they really think or do. As fas as I know the Unexpected Gathering is also available at Target, so you may just want to get it there. But then again, Santa may have already crossed that off of your list. 😉

I don’t have time to check onthe fridge right now, but if you look at the instructions it should tell you how many pieces it has.

I will have to see if it’s available at my local Target. I will not be foiled! But there’s the chance I’ll get it for Christmas; that little seed of doubt will undoubtably prevent me from ever getting it…. 😕
I checked the listing for the refrigerator on the shop, and it’s only 450 pieces. Quite overpriced at $90. I didn’t see any of the SW minis though, how come? Are they retired or something? 😕

Maybe just looking in the wrong category? The instructions should be there for all of the models.

Ah, yes, I see it now. I was at the wrong place. I also see a Mini Benny’s Spaceship there… I should look into that.
About 79003, it occurred to me that I could get it from Bricklink if I don’t get it for Christmas, I just checked and found a sealed one for only $61. I think I will go with that (but I’m still checking Target). 🙂

    Hey Brickblogger,

Me and my kids build about a dozen of the ‘Tiny Diamond’ Christmas ornaments. It was a really fun craft night. We have so many of the baby bow pieces from all the mixed sets we’ve been collecting, we were able to create a lot of really nice color combinations.

James, thanks for sharing! I’m glad you guys had a good time building the ornaments! Happy Holidays! 🙂
