You may remember that a few days ago we talked about Bricks magazine (see: Brick Magazine Issue 15: LEGO Technic). Since then the team behind the magazine started a video series titled Bricks Solutions, which I’m particularly excited about. Bricks Solutions takes a look at official LEGO sets and ways to modify them to make them even more awesome. 🙂
One of the recent LEGO sets a lot of LEGO fans have considered modifying is the #76057 LEGO Spider-Man: Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle. The main attraction of the set is a beautifully detailed bridge, but only half of the structure is included. If you get two sets, however, you can build a full bridge. The first episode of Bricks Solutions discusses two options to join the two halves for different effects. You can watch the episode below, and I have also included the announcement for the first episode.
Take a sneaky-peak at the first episode of Bricks Solutions as Mark takes us through a couple of easy ways to enhance the #76057 LEGO Spider-Man: Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle. This is arguably one of the hottest LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets we have seen. Not only does it come with a great selection of minifigures, but it is also a very well-designed playset with both play and display features.
However here at Bricks Solutions we feel there is always room to create, modify and improve, and when we built the Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle we were inspired to use it as the subject of our first episode. By joining two of these sets together in different ways, you will find yourself with one of the coolest LEGO Super Hero sets to date.
Mark takes you through two different options for you to explore when joining two sets together while making sure that all the techniques and pieces used are clearly visible. The first option is a little more complex and dramatic with a collapsible debilitated center for the bridge. The second option joins the two halves of the bridge without much battle-damage and thus building a pretty much normal looking bridge.
Mark makes an endeavor to only use pieces from the two sets to make the modifications, and thus keeping this project simple and cost effective. Also, by our calculations, you should be able to sell your duplicate minifigures and cover the cost of buying the second set. So what are you waiting for? It looks good. Especially the normal version. Looks like a simple modification once you have two bridges. I think I saw it on sale on Amazon.

I didn’t know the Bridge set went on sale. I just ordered the Airport Battle set. I had an alert set up to tell when the price dropped it was $64 the other day. I bet the Bridge set was on sale the same day.
I’m going to try and wait till the double points event to get the Bridge set. But now I want two sets.
Yeah, I think it was a very short sale, only for one day. TRU had the set on sale, so Amazon matched the price. It’s hard to catch short sales like that. While getting two sets doesn’t always makes sense, in case of the bridge it’s definitely worth it. The two together make such a nice bridge!
There is a site called camelcamelcamel.com. You can set up an alert to email you when a item goes on sale. You can set a price point for an item on amazon, if said item drops to that price you get an email. I had an alert set for the Airport set cause I wanted the Brick built minifig.
The site will also give you the price history of an item, so you have an idea of how low it might go.
