LEGO City Arctic mini-movies & more!

We already talked about the recently released LEGO City Arctic sets (see: 2018 LEGO City Arctic Sets Review & Thoughts), however, I thought to share with you this fun series of videos I found on LEGO’s YouTube channel that covers the back-story of the sets. It’s a little weird talking about Arctic sets in the middle of the summer, but they are really fun to build and play with, and the stories are enjoyable, so here you go! 🙂

The first two mini-movies are titled LEGO City Arctic Adventures Part 1 & 2. They cover how the LEGO City Arctic team ends up finding the giant mammoth featured in the #60195 LEGO City Arctic Mobile Exploration set. Then, there are a couple of short product animations for the #60193 LEGO City Arctic Air Transport and the #60195 LEGO City Arctic Mobile Exploration sets. These are not as interesting as the mini-movies as there is no dialogue, but they can give you some seed ideas for developing your own stories when playing with the sets. Following the product animations, you will find two more mini-movies titled LEGO City Mammoth Meltdown Part 1 & 2. They continue where the first two mini-movies left off. Enjoy!

I really like how the mini-movies incorporate other characters, vehicles and places from different LEGO City sub-themes, like LEGO City Police and LEGO City Mining. The underwear crook from the #60173 LEGO City Police Mountain Arrest is especially funny. You can also spot a number of LEGO City vehicles, like the #60180 LEGO City Monster Truck and #60197 LEGO City Passenger Train. The sets are listed at the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.

LEGO mini-movies are always fun and entertaining, especially if there is some dialogue and story, and not just simple product animation. What do you think? How do you like these LEGO City Arctic animations? Do you have any of the sets already? Did you notice any other official LEGO City sets or characters in the cartoons? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

LOL! These feel cooling! Are there any more of these?

These are the only ones I found at this point. Perhaps they will add more, but I’m not sure.

I really like the prehistoric animals in these sets, but I wish they had a building, like in the earlier sets. That was my favorite. Everything else is great.

Hm… yes, I like the building in the earlier sets too. I converted mine into a space station. 😀

Cool! Literally. LOL. I wouldn’t mind if lego would provide all my entertainment. 😀

I suppose doing a seen from the movie “The thing” would be a bit disturbing. Lol!

Was the real appearance of the monster (alien) ever seen in that film? I just recall that the monster could shape-shift…

LEGO and The Thing… interesting combination… I don’t know fi I want to go down that rabbit hole. 😈

Maybe have the Arctic people being chased by a Yeti ( less gruesome maybe). I have a yeti from a Lego set long ago . I think it was from the adventure theme.

    • admin August 12, 2018, 10:52 PM

Oh, yes, the Yeti is quite friendly. He even got a popsicle! 😀

      • Håkan August 13, 2018, 4:21 PM

Seems like the trans-blue popsicle only was released with that CMF. Popsicles are always nice!

Yeah, especially unique colors like that! Yum! 😀
