There has been lots of exciting news on upcoming sets as well as holiday shopping deals, but there is one piece of recent news we haven’t talked about yet. For LEGO Ninjago fans, 2019 is going to be an important year as the TV show celebrates its 100th episode. Tommy Andreasen, Senior Creative Manager at LEGO and co-creator of the LEGO Ninjago – Masters of Spinjitzu TV show, recently announced that the production team is working on a feature length TV film for LEGO Ninjago fans. Below is the full announcement. 🙂

LEGO Ninjago fans are quite familiar with Tommy Andreasen, as he regularly shares behind-the-scenes information and interesting little tidbits on his Twitter page. The image below is his most recent tweet, and the text is as follows:

Today, we are wrapping the production of the 4 episodes which we announced at San Diego Comic Con this year. It is truly a culmination as it marks the series’ 100th episode. So today, we celebrate the collaboration between LEGO, Wilfilm, JAM, The Fold, The Hageman Brothers, Bragi Schut, and the wonderful writers and people who has lent their talents, passion and care to our precious Ninjago – Masters of Spinjitzu. And, because we love the 4-episode arc so much, we have decided to edit them to (also) become a FEATURE LENGTH TV FILM. This will be the film fans of the TV show canon deserve. (As always, we don’t know when, how and where it will air… we just make the stuff). It will be dedicated to our much missed good friend, colleague and Master of Spinjitzu Scott Godon-Decoteau (Associate Creative Director at LEGO) who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. Love from the Ninjago team NIJAAAA-GO!!!

For LEGO Ninjago fans, this is excellent news, although, as Tommy mentions, at this point it is not known when the four episodes and the feature length TV film version of the four episodes will air. Still, it is great to hear that the LEGO Ninjago – Masters of Online LEGO Shop.Spinjitzu is going to continue next year. Besides the TV show, we can also expect new LEGO sets, and in the meantime you can also take a look at the currently available sets at the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? Are you excited about the continuation of the LEGO Ninjago TV show? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I love ninjago, I’ve kept most of the sets out on display (and of course play). I don’t think I’ll ever take it down. I have both ninjago city and docks. As well as the temple of airjitzu and along with the dragon pit ( with most of the dragons from this year and past years). Don’t forget Destiny’s Bounty. So, I have a lot of ninjago sets. There more but , I don’t think the page is long enough for me list them all. Lol!😁

NINJA…GO!!!! Super excited! And by the way, we already know that the 2019 sets are going to be legacy sets. They are remakes of the sets from the first episode. And spinners are coming back too!

That is correct. The next wave of Ninjago sets are going to be modified/upgraded versions of some of the most iconic sets from the first wave. And yes, spinners are coming back too, although they are heavily upgraded as well. 😀

This is incredible! I love this show so much 🙂 As an adult fan I’m sometimes asked why I love a “kids show” so much, but It’s so much more than that to me, the characters, the story, the emotion, even the music, what’s not to love? Looking very much forward to season 10, long may it continue 😀
