LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian Sets & More!

During the recent LEGO CON event, LEGO announced three new LEGO Star Wars sets based on The Mandalorian television series. In addition, three other sets are coming that weren’t talked about during the CON but will also get released in August. And there are also some other upcoming LEGO Star Wars sets that weren’t yet revealed. Let’s take a look at what’s coming and then we can discuss!

The #75311 LEGO Star Wars Imperial Armored Marauder is from Season 2 of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, and features a rotating rear turret, with 2 stud-shooters, 2 additional stud-shooters at the front, and a cockpit, an interior cabin with enough space for 2 minifigs, ammo compartments, and a lookout point. The vehicle measures over 3 in. (8 cm) high, 7.5 in. (19 cm) long, and 4 in. (10 cm) wide. The included minifigs are Greef Karga, an Artillery Stormtrooper, and two Imperial Stormtroopers. The set comes with 478 pieces, and the price is as follows: £34.99, $39.99, €39.99. The set will be available in August at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The #75312 LEGO Star Wars Boba Fett’s Starship is a smaller version of the previous releases, but still includes many of the key features. Notice that it is no longer called the Slave I, even though it’s the same ship. The name change was done by the request of Disney, as they want to eliminate using the word “slave” in the Star Wars franchise. The ship features a handle for easy swooshing action, an opening cockpit, rotating wings, two stud-shooters, and two rotating dual blaster cannons (non-shooting). The overall size is 3.5 in. (8 cm) high, 8 in. (20 cm) long, and 8 in. (20 cm) wide. The included minifigs are Boba Fett and Din Djarin, and the set comes with 592 pieces. Prices are as follows: £44.99, $49.99, €49.99. It will be available in August at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The #75315 LEGO Star Wars Imperial Light Cruiser is also from Season 2 of The Mandalorian, and features a bridge that doubles as a handle for flying (very swooshable!), two rotating turrets with spring-loaded shooters, plus two cute mini TIE Fighters, and a launcher. In addition, a hatch gives access to the cabin, which has a hologram table and storage for the electrobinoculars and other accessory elements. The cruiser measures over 5 in. (13 cm) high, 22.5 in. (58 cm) long, and 8.5 in. (22 cm) wide, and includes five minifigs: The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, Fennec Shand, Moff Gideon, and a Dark Trooper, plus a LEGO figure of the Child (Grogu), affectionately known as Baby Yoda. The set comes with 1,336 pieces, and prices are as follows: £149.99, $159.99, €159.99. It will be available in August at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The #75310 LEGO Star Wars Duel on Mandalore set is based on Star Wars The Clone Wars, and it features a brick-built throne with a secret drawer containing a blaster pistol, plus a decorative surround including a pop-out window element. There is also a nicely decorated Mandalorian vault for imprisoning Darth Maul. The set includes two minifigures: Ahsoka Tano with two lightsabers, and Darth Maul with a double-bladed lightsaber. This is a solid little set with 147 pieces for the price of: £17.99, $19.99, 19.99€. It will be available in August at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

We already talked about the #75314 LEGO Star Wars The Bad Batch – Attack Shuttle (see: LEGO Star Wars Bad Batch Set Available for Pre-Order), but since this set is also going to be released in August, it’s worth repeating the basic info. The set is inspired by the new Star Wars animated series, titled Star Wars: The Bad Batch, featuring five Bad Batch clones; Tech, Echo, Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair, plus a Gonk Droid. The shuttle comes with wings that move up and down for landing and flight modes, two spring-loaded shooters, an opening dual cockpit, and rear cabin with space for two minifigures and weapons storage. Two speeders are also included. The shuttle measures over 7 in. (20 cm) high, 10 in. (25 cm) long, and 5 in. (13 cm) wide with the wings folded up. The set comes with 969 pieces, and the prices are as follows: £89.99, $99.99, 99.99€. This set is already available for pre-order at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The #75316 LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Starfighter is from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It features an opening cockpit for two minifigs, two stud-shooters, two spring-loaded shooters, and adjustable wings (rotate them vertically for landing or fold them down and rotate the cockpit for flight formation). The Mandalorian starfighter measures over 2.5 in. (6 cm) high, 13 in. (33 cm) long, and 11.5 in. (30 cm) wide and comes with Bo-Katan Kryze, Gar Saxon, and a Mandalorian Loyalist. The set comes with 544 pieces and prices are as follows: £49.99, $59.99, 59.99€. The set will be available in August at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

There was also hope that LEGO will reveal the upcoming #75309 LEGO Star Wars Republic Gunship during LEGO CON, but unfortunately, this didn’t happen. You may recall that this set was voted for by fans to become the next LEGO Ultimate Collector Series set, so there is a lot of anticipation for its reveal. But hopefully, it will be announced soon. And in the meantime, you can check out the currently available and upcoming LEGO Star Wars sets at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Hmm, I’m not a huge Star Warrior, but I like the alien heads, and it can be a good source for more natural skin-toned heads. Traditionally, about all of the storm troopers have been angry white males, though, which is both kinda boring, and has problematic undertones if you want to do custom building…

Thankfully, it seems the heads have become more varied recently, and hopefully some of those heads might turn up on Bricks and Pieces soon. Many of these heads are quite expensive on Bricklink due to them only being used for certain characters, and rarely available on Bricks and Pieces. A bit unexpectedly, I managed to snag a bunch of female and black heads cheaply from a licensed set on Bricks and Pieces recently, though. I just forgot to log in on my VIP account, so I should try and e-mail a claim about my missing points, soon…

Hmm, “Star Warrior”, it seems that Star Wars fans don’t have an established nickname for themselves, like the “trekkies”, so I thought it would be fun to come up with something. I still have respect for the fandom, so I tried to avoid something that felt ‘too’ pejorative and cheesy.

A slightly punnier alternative would be “Star Warhead”…

I definitely want the Mandalorian starfighter. The Imperial cruiser that look great too but I’m kind of on a budget. However the other smaller sets look interesting as well. Imperial armored Marauder looks really good and I might get a couple of those just because I could build up my Army. As for Boba Fett’s ship ( aka slave 1). I’m up in the air about that one. I already have two different versions of it and even though this one is smaller and has important characters in it ( like the new Boba Fett ). I’m probably going to wait on it after all it’s only fifty bucks. And the $20 set well it’s $20 that I can find anytime.

I really want the Bad Batch set. And maybe the Slave I (can we still call it that?).

Ssshh! The Disney lawyers might be watching… @_@

No kidding! We may all get canceled by their army of keyboard warriors. 😀

Starfighter for me. I already have two other Slaves, so I don’t think I will get this one.

I kinda like Boba Fett’s starship (aka Slave I). I don’t have room for big Star Wars sets anymore, and this is just about the right size. Is that Mandalorian prison pod printed?

No, it’s a sticker. There are a couple reviews on the set on YouTube . You can go and check them out. Spoiler alert for those that have not seen the Mandalorian series . I’m still mad on what happened to Mando’s Razor Crest. That was a cool ship. As for Boba Fett’s new armor I don’t know I kind of like it being that rugged beat up look. Makes him look a little bit more intimidating because he can take a beating and can give a beating right back . Of Course during the Mandalorian time the Empire has already fallen and if there’s any concern of Boba Fett’s whereabouts. He supposedly is dead because he fell in the sarlacc pit. 🤔. Are they going to get a rude Awakening. When they see him alive.😎.

I love the Bad Batch ship! From the other ones I’m only interested in the mandalorians.
