E, let me know what you want to write about, then you can send me in a sample of your article. If approved, your article will be posted. 😉

Dave, that depends on what would you like to do. You can become a contributor by writing posts, write tutorials and reviews, share your LEGO creations, bring interesting news… the options with LEGO are pretty much unlimited, so whatever you are inspired to do. If you have some ideas just let me know. 😉

How do i become a blogger/contributer
hi i am new at this 😀 8)
If i just want to give short heads ups instead of a full out post, What should I do? can i just put it here? All i want to say is that a moderator (meaning they are LEGO officials) stated that Ninjago will continue to 2014. Not sure of the authenticity, but this is a LEGO official post in the messageboards.
I would suggest you mention that in the Ninjago section. Just select the Ninjago section from the left-hand side-bar, and pick a post. The latest one is a good choice. Also, don’t forget to provide the link and a direct quote otherwise nobody will believe you. 🙄
Admin, can I do a post about the new Chima website? If so, please just tell me in what format on Word I should do this. Thanks!
Sam, I’m already working on a post on that for tomorrow. In general I accept last-minute posts from TBB’s official contributors as they already know the process and can write a post quickly according to our standards. For new contributors I recommend to write about something less time-sensitive for the first time so they can learn the process without time-pressures. 🙂
Ok, thanks anyway! 🙂
Admin, I just emailed you my contribution. How do I know if it’s accepted or rejected?
Fikko, I emailed you back. 😉
How many articles posted is needed to be a contributor? Was it 3 or more?
Fikko, yes it is 3. You are alread eligible and I just sent you a PM. 😉
Only three?! I just got the Chima Pac Tracker, could I review that?
Yeah, sure. 🙂
Ok then. I’ll review at as soon as possible!
Sorry about he mistakes, I’m using an old computer (its not mine!) ad the keyboar does not work.
Can I contribute by writing an article about the new Mixels website?
I also have a high-quality new picture of the next two waves of Mixels! 😀
Maybe you could cover those then. Perhaps talk about a couple of aspects of the site I didn’t cover, and the later waves of Mixels. 😉
Alex, I actually just wrote a post on that and have it scheduled for the 17th, as that’s when Mixels is going to be released. It doesn’t mean we can’t have another post on the subject, but I think it would be a good idea to wait until that gets published, and if you feel like I left out some things (I did), then maybe you can cover those in a separate post. 😉
Okay, can I just send you my post and you can sort of incorporate it into yours? I mean, if that’s okay with you…
Alex, it’s too late for that as that post is already scheduled and is plenty long enough. However you could send me your post, and I can go over it, take out anything that covers the same subject as mine and schedule it for later.
Okay! Thank you so much! I can’t wait to contribute 🙂
Hey admin, may I write a post on brickforge’s 30 under $0.30 sale?
Sure, you could, but I just checked their website and there is no mention of such a sale. 😕
May I post season 2 of Chima episodes? (As separate articles)
Just send me an email and we can discuss further. 😉
I know you don’t usually post hero factory episodes, but may I post invasion from below? I’m pretty sure it is embeddable, I’ll go check right now.
I’m hesitant to post episodes that are likely be taken down. If they are from LEGO’s own YouTube channel or even from the LEGO website, they should be safe. But other than that there is no point of posting a video when it gets taken down two days later. So just check to make sure that the source is reliable in this regard. Other than that, yeah, go ahead! 🙂
Yay, thank you! It is actually on Lego’s website, but I’m still not quite sure how to embed videos.
Hey admin, I’m going to be gone for a couple days, so I won’t have time to type the hero fac article, but I will do it when I get back.
Sounds good. Have a great trip! 😉
Admin, did you get the fixed version of my article? I’m pretty sure I got it emailed to you.
Yep, got it. I put it on the schedule. Not sure when it will be posted, but my guess is this weekend. 😉
For my contributor article, may I write about the new sales on brickforge, such as May The Forge Be With You, the minifig giveaway, next round of 30 under .30, and do a quick overview of new items? I could have it done by Saturday.
Those are good topics, however please note that I will not be able to post it for May the 4th. I’m usually about 5 days ahead in scheduling articles. If there is something really urgent I can turn the schedule around and sqeeze something in, but this has to be news that effects our readers significanly.
I love BrickForge myself and I like to write about them once in a while with updates and such, however most of our readers are not customizers, so the May the 4th sale from LEGO is a lot more significant. I often put a piece of news like the May the 4th BrickForge sale in the comment section on that day. This way those who are interested can still see it without interrupting the main article.
Since you already wrote about the 30 under .30 topic and those who are interested are probably already on BrickForge’s mailing list, I would suggest to choose a different topic, either about BF, or something else. Email me if you have further questions. BTW, I’m posting your Hero Factory article this weekend. 😉
Umm… Admin, sorry to be rude, but could you please post my contributor page?
As I have mentioned I will post it as soon as I can. I didn’t forget about it, however I have been busy with work. It takes several hours to put together something like that, including editing, formattting, adding pictures, and linking all of your articles both ways. It takes time. Again, I will do it as soon as my schedule allows.
OK, I’ll try to be patient…
Admin, I’m writing a Bionicle style story with action figures, would I be allowed to post it on here, or do you like to mostly just post news?
I can publish it if it is polished and professionally done. As you know, news is not the only thing we cover. It is perfectly all-right for contributors to write personal stories, opinions, etc. However it shoudl be done in such a way that it appeals to our world-wide audience. Send me a PM and we can discuss this further. 😉
A PM? What’s that?
PM = Personal Message a.k.a. email. 😉
Wait… I don’t have a website. but I know how to make one. Do I need to make one to be a contributer?
Chris, I’m not sure what you mean or why would you need a website to write an article. Of course if you have a website we can link to it, but it is not a requirement.
Ok I’m making one. I’ll tell you it when I’m finished.
I was just wondering if it’s okay to share your Lego project Idea on here but I can’t seem to connect my email to contact.
Here’s the link anyway. Thanks.
Sure you can! Thanks for sharing, and wishing you the best with your project! 🙂
I’m a massive fan of your site! I have also started a LEGO blog in my spare time with my friend and wondered if you guys would post stories that I write for my site, or if I would have to write something original for your website? I’ve got some interesting ideas (well I think so haha)
Samantha, welcome to the world of LEGO blogging! You’re welcome to write for us, however we do require original content. Just PM me if you’re interested. 🙂
Thanks for the reply! Ok, I will get in touch when I think I have a good enough article 😀
