The highly anticipated LEGO Minifigures Series 6 have been showing up at various retail locations. This particular LEGO minifigure series was highly anticipated due to some incredibly nice minifigures.
Here is the official description: “Inspired by sci-fi, world history, mythology and everyday life, the LEGO minifigures collection continues with Series 6! Each unique and colorful character comes with special accessories, a display stand and a collector’s leaflet, and is packed inside a sealed ‘mystery’ bag, so you never know which minifigure you’ll get. Collection includes: Roman Soldier, Highland Battler, Minotaur, Bandit, Classic Alien, Genie, Leprechaun, Intergalactic Girl, Butcher, Mechanic, Skater Girl, Surgeon, Sleepyhead, Clockwork Robot, Lady Liberty and Flamenco Dancer.”
Flickr member PA (Semper Fi) has already put together a legion of Romans, which gives you a great close-up view of these awesome LEGO minifigures:
And here they are in action! Poor highlander! 🙁
Now lets get a closer look of all the LEGO Minifigures in Series 6! The Romans are not the only winners! This series is full of wonderful surprises! Here you go! 😉
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Flamenco Dancer: “Behold the blaze of el baile flamenco!” The Flamenco Dancer lives for the fiery rhythm of flamenco. She knows every part by heart: the singing, the guitar, the clapping and most especially the dancing. Just follow the music as it winds through the streets and you’re sure to find her dancing with her fan in hand long into the night. The Flamenco Dancer is always looking for more ways to express her passion through dance. Recently, she has formed an unusual partnership with three other musical Minifigures: the Maraca Man, the Punk Rocker and the Hula Dancer. By combining their talents together, they’re hoping to create a whole new kind of flamenco to show off to the world!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Lady Liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled Minifigures yearning to build free!” Lady Liberty is a symbol of creative freedom to all Minifigures, no matter their theme of origin. Holding her torch up high – and sometimes waving it around when she gets really excited – she is a beacon of inspiration to all who see her. Lady Liberty protects against oppression of all kinds. Villains and tyrants may try to topple her, but she always stands tall (well, as tall as any Minifigure, anyway), stirring the hearts of patriotic citizens everywhere to build bigger and grander brick creations than ever before.
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Clockwork Robot: “Beep-boop! Who-wants-a-hug?” The Clockwork Robot just wants to be loved. He may have started out as a simple toy, but somewhere along the way his little ticking heart took on a life of its very own. Now that he can walk and talk and think (as long as somebody remembers to keep his key wound up), he’s hoping to find his true place in the big LEGO® world. But what does a Clockwork Robot do? He can walk around making beeping sounds, and he has lots of shiny buttons and dials, but he feels there must be more to life. He’s tried copying some of the other Minifigures, but he kept falling off his horse, deep-sea diving made his gears rusty, and masked wrestling was definitely a big mistake. Maybe he’ll just try hugging everybody he sees instead!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Sleepyhead: “Just five more minutes…” Ya-a-a-awn! Is it really time to get up already? The Sleepyhead isn’t quite ready to face the morning yet. He was just having a totally awesome dream about adventuring in a magical world full of colorful knights with swords that shoot lightning… or was it the one about the time machine powered by historical hats? Who can rise and shine when bed is so comfy and you’ve got your favorite teddy bear by your side? Don’t worry; the Sleepyhead will be up in a minute. Maybe he’ll just close his eyes and grab a quick nap first, though. After all, you can’t get through the day without plenty of rest! Zzzzz…
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Surgeon: “Some say laughter is the best medicine, but I say MEDICINE is the best medicine.” Nothing distracts the ever-serious Surgeon when she’s performing an important operation. She works with a level head and a steady hand despite any rock monster rumblings, dinosaur attacks or invasions by brain-sucking aliens that may be going on around her. Then again, it’s no surprise when you see who her patients are. Without the Surgeon’s pioneering work, modern medicine wouldn’t know how to mend a rock monster’s lava gland, perform a tonsillectomy on a Triceratops, or stuff all of that brainpower back where it belongs. It all may seem a bit unusual, but to the Surgeon, a patient is a patient no matter the circumstances!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Skater Girl: “Who cares what anybody thinks? I skate for me!” Some Minifigures skate for fame. Others skate for thrills. But for the Skater Girl, it’s all about having fun! It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about her skating skills as long as she can feel two things: the wind whipping through her streaked hair, and her custom-painted board beneath her feet. But sometimes the more you try to avoid attention, the more of it you end up getting. Thanks to her carefree attitude, the Skater Girl has gained a huge fandom devoted to discussing all of her latest skateboarding tricks and stunts. But she doesn’t care – they can say whatever they want, and she’ll just keep on doing her own thing her own way!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Mechanic: “Sure, I can fix that… but wouldn’t it be even cooler with a rocket engine?” Nobody is better at quick repairs than the Mechanic. He can fix any dent, ding, rumble or rattle with his handy wrench and toolbox, and he doesn’t mind getting dirty in the process. No matter the problem, he’ll have your vehicle running as good as new in no time flat… but he never quite seems to know where to stop! To the Mechanic, there’s no auto in the world that wouldn’t be improved by adding a couple of stylish fins, a fancy spoiler and a big engine on top of the hood. And while he’s at it, he might just put in a submarine propeller, some ejector seats, a couple of extra wheels and a booster rocket or three. If that’s what he does with a car, imagine what he’ll do with a spaceship!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Butcher: “Howdy! How about some meat?” The Butcher is a cheerful chap in his tidy hat and apron, always happy to chat about the weather or pass on the latest news from town. But no matter how a conversation with him starts, somehow it always ends up coming around to the subject of meat. It’s really no surprise; after all, it’s the Butcher’s very favorite thing in the entire world. Whether you’re talking poultry or sausage, hamburger patties or a fresh T-bone steak, you’ll never find anybody who knows more about meat. Ask around and you’ll see!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Intergalactic Girl: “No thanks needed. I’m just doing my part to make the spaceways safe!” The name of the Intergalactic Girl is cheered by life forms on every inhabited planet, moon, space station and asteroid in the cosmos. As an interstellar adventurer, she and her daring outer-space exploits are the stuff of legend throughout the known universe, and even a few of the unknown bits, too. With nothing but a quasar zapper, a pair of antigravity boots and a can-do attitude, the Intergalactic Girl has single-handedly saved solar systems from black holes, rescued civilizations from cosmic conquerors and captured entire fleets of Blacktron battle cruisers. She never has time to stay for the celebrations afterwards, though, because there’s always another space crisis waiting just around the next nebula!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Leprechaun: “Sure, I’ll show you where my gold is hidden! Just close your eyes and spin around three times…” The jolly but mischievous Leprechaun loves to play pranks on anyone who comes looking for his famous pot of gold. He can appear with a wink and vanish with a nod, hop down a rabbit-hole or leap to the top of the tallest tree, and even transform into a talking animal if it will help him pull off a really fun practical joke on an unsuspecting treasure-hunter. The Leprechaun once misplaced his pot of gold and tried his luck at being a shoemaker, but it just didn’t work out. The problem was, almost no Minifigures actually wear shoes…and on most of the ones that do, they don’t come off!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Genie: “I’ll grant your wish… your wish for bricks!” Rub the magic lamp and this friendly Genie will pop out to grant your wishes*… as long as they have to do with LEGO® bricks! Want a big enough pile of pieces to build a perfect full-scale model of the Great Wall of China? No problem! Looking for that long-lost LEGO Castle set you left in the playground when you were 5 and never saw again? Your wish is his command! There’s only one limitation on the Genie’s incredible magical powers: he doesn’t do instruction booklets. He’ll give you all the bricks you could possibly want, but it’s up to you to figure out what to do with them. Ask him why, and he’ll just tell you that building steps are another genie’s department! (*wish-granting requires use of imagination)
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Bandit: “Whaddya mean, I can’t have seven aces?” Lean, mean and bad-mannered, the black-clad Bandit is a notorious outlaw of the Old West. This despicable desperado is an expert at cattle-rustling, horse-stealing, claim-jumping and train-robbing, but he always ends up getting caught by the long arm of the law thanks to his one big weakness: he cheats at everything. Whether he’s playing cards or trying to outride the sheriff, the Bandit always looks for the unfair and easy path to fortune. He’ll take secret shortcuts that get him stuck in cactus patches, swipe the fastest stallion in the county only to have it throw a shoe, and rig sharp-shooting contests that end with saloon signs crashing down on his head. As long as he keeps trying to cheat, this bad guy will never win!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Minotaur: “Wait, was it left at the next passage, or right?” Half Minifigure and half bull, the legendary Minotaur is said to make his home deep within a great, maze-like labyrinth that only the most brave or foolish of heroes dares to enter. And while that much is true, the rumor that the ferocious beast guards a fabulous treasure is not…in fact, he’s only in there because he can’t find his way out! The thing is that the Minotaur is just terrible at directions. He used to have a map of the place, but he lost it somewhere and ever since, he’s wandered around the labyrinth hoping to run into somebody helpful who can show him where the entrance is. Unfortunately, everyone that he’s met so far either tries to fight him or runs away. Maybe it’s the horns… or the axe… or the cow-breath?
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Highland Battler: “They may take our bricks, but they’ll never take our imagination!” The Highland Battler is proud of his fighting skills, proud of his strength, and especially proud of his fine plaid kilt. He feels that he is upholding the history and traditions of his whole clan in every challenge he faces, from defending the Highlands to playing board games, and he accepts nothing less than glorious victory at each one. He considers any kind of loss to be a crushing blow to his honor, and so he strives to be the very best at every competition imaginable, whether great or small. Most importantly, though, he always insists on winning by the rules. To the Highland Battler, there’s only one thing in the world worse than losing – and that’s being a cheater!
LEGO Minifigures Series 6 – Roman Soldier: “I’ll march anywhere, fight anyone, and build anything you command!” Ever since he was first assembled, the Roman Soldier has followed his orders without a moment’s hesitation. Just tell him what you want done and he’ll carry out your command right away, treating each mission as equally important no matter how tough (or silly!) it may be. The other Minifigures sometimes take advantage of this, so you may find the Roman Soldier hard at work doing the dishes, taking pets for walks and building aqueducts all over town, just because somebody else didn’t want to get their own chores done. But he doesn’t mind the extra work – according to him, that’s what a Roman Soldier is for!
So, there you have it; the whole line-up of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 6! My favorites are the: Lady Liberty, the Genie, Sleepyhead, and the Minotaur. How about you? Which ones are your favorites? 😀
Some other post on the collectible LEGO minifigures you might like:
what stores have these been appearing at?
Izzy, they are just tricklink it at Target, Toys’R’Us and Super Walmart. 😉
in the us!?
Izzy, yes, in the USA. Where are you located?
in the us :p lol
Izzy, I would suggest that you check with your local TRU first. They could tell you right away if they have them in. Target is also pretty quick at carrying them, but the employees are not that knowledgeable about LEGO, so best is to check there personally. Walmart is still full of boxes and boxes of Series 5, so I’m not sure if all of them put out Series 6 just yet. Hope this helps some finding them! 😉
is there an item number i can give them to check if they have them?
Izzy, let me check…just a moment…
Okay, the item number for Toys’R’Us is #155583.
Actually, let me give you all of this, as it may help you find them at other retailers as well:
Item #: 155583 (this is for TRU only)
SKU: 38A11B69
UPC/EAN/ISBN: 673419162975
Manufacturer #: 4648587
what is targets item #?
Izzy, I don’t know, but they should be able to use the SKU or the ISBN number as those are universal.
I will definately be keeping my eyes peeled for these (ow).
Especially the Sleepyhead. 🙂
Quad, yeah he is really cute! 😀
I want the genie and the robot and the intergalactic girl and probably the sleepy boy too.
Anyone have info on how to feel the packages to help you find the ones you want? 🙂
What I do is shake the contect of the bag to one corner. This will ensure that all the accessories and other small parts fall into one corner. These are some of the easiest parts to feel out, besides the really large and unusual parts like the Gladiator helmet in the previous series.
While I feel around the small parts in the corner of the bag, I look at the picture of all the minifigues in the set (there is one on the display box, or you can just print out a picture from online and take it with you to the store). Once you get a hang of this it is a fast process.
If you have never done this process before, I would suggest that you buy a couple of random baggies, take them home, and before you open them try the above method to figure out which minifigure is inside the bags, then open the bags and see if you were correct.
This method takes a little bit of practice, but once your fingers get used to it, it is a piece of cake! A lot more accurate than the dot-code method, which is really a hit-or-miss. I have tried both and I prefer the feel method by far, even though at the beginning I was not good at it. The trick is to shake all the little accessories to one corner. Don’t forget that part. 😉
I have to agree, moving one piece at a time into the corner and feeling the shape of it seems to work.
It may take awhile to find the minifig your looking for but patience almost always pays off. 🙂
Quad, yes, that’s my experience too! 🙂
I will have to try that shaking technique. I’ve got pretty good at feeling the bags, but I didn’t know to shake the pieces to the corner. I’ve been able to find all the ones I wanted from this series: Liberty, Robot, Intergalactic Girl, Sleepy Boy, Genie. Plus I ended up buying Alien, Skater and Roman Soldier – knowing what they were before I bought them – on days that I couldn’t find the ones that I wanted and my kid wanted those that day anyway. 😛
Great haul you got there! It sounds like you are already an expert! I found the shaking technique just speeds up the process of finding the right minifigs. Give it a try and let us know how it went! 😉
I have been able, through feeling each bag, to get my son each and every minifigure – including those he wants duplicates of – on my first try for each series. I am raring to go to get him series 6 and am on hold right now at TRU to see if they are in stock in PA or NJ.
I’ll have to check TRU this weekend. Haven’t seen these out yet.
No sign of them yet at my local TRU… they have 3 boxes of series 5 out, one of which was not even open. I left it alone but did pick up a few extra gladiators, and mafia out of what was loose. I hope they get out soon. I would like to get about 10 romans. They are so sparce and expensive on ebay…
Dave, yeah, that is the problem; retailers have too much Series 5 at hand! I guess we just have to wait. 🙁
I checked WalMart and Target as well, I can’t wait to pick them up!
Dave, let us know when you are able to get them! 😉
Yay yay yay!!! I finally got them! TRU in south hills Pittsburgh has 1 box of series 6! When I first saw the box it was empty, then I looked down on the rack and they were all there, someone had gone through feeling each one already. I was like noooo, I bet they took all the Romans!!! Luckily I got 2 of them out of what was left, unreal! I’m pretty pumped to even have 1 of them! As soon as things die down a bit I’ll probably try to build a small squad of 10 or so for my inner castle keep. So awesome!!! Of course my wife was with me thinking I’m crazy!!! Lol!
Dave, I’m glad you were able to find them! Make sure you take a picture of your army! Would love to see them! Maybe get your wife the Intergalactic Girl? 😉
Still none at TRU, walmart or Target. Wal-mart had boxes of series 5 .
I have checked 2 TRU stores, 3 Walmarts and 3 Targets… haven’t seen ANY series 6 at ANY of these stores. The people at TRU keep telling me they won’t be out until February. I HATE it when I know more than the people that work at these stores. Educate your employees!!!
I am DYING to get my hands on this series!
I know what you mean! Unfortunately not everyone who works at toys stores is dye-hard LEGO fans like we are. Just keep checking, keep calling…
Another option is to just buy a whole box from someone who already foudn them (BrickLink and eBay are good palce to find these sellers), take out the figs you want, and sell the rest. This series is full of winning minifigs, so you should be able to sell them just fine. 😉
Is it certain that all 16 figs are in each box? Which one is supposed to be the hard to find fig in this series?
Yes, a full box contain 60 packets, and it is certain that each box will have all 16 figs in multiplies. Here is the break-down of a Series 6 box:
5 x each: Minotaur, Celtic Warrior, Bandit – 15 total
4 x each: Skater, Leprechaun, Flamenco Dancer, Space Babe, Alien, Mechanic – 24 total
3 x each: Lady Liberty, Robot, Genie, Surgeos, Roman, Sleepy Boy, Butcher – 21 total
As you can see the hardest to find figures will be the ones that only has 3 in a box: Lady Liberty, the Robot, the Genie, the Romans, etc., and we will be overrun by Minotaurs, Celtic Warriors and Bandits! 😈
The Toys R Us in my area finally got them. I picked up 6 of them on Wednesday and the remaining 10 on Thursday. My kids and I absolutely LOVE them!
Now I have a Statue of Liberty to go along side my Lego Empire State Building. And… the Gorilla Suit Guy from series 3 makes a PERFECT King Kong for the top of my Empire State Building. 🙂
I’m getting pretty good at identifying them in the package. I got them all correctly without a single duplicate.
Looking forward to series 7 now! 😉
I’m glad you were able to pick some up! Yes, this series is particularly inspired, along with Series 7. Have fun with your new figs! 🙂
I’m excited about these. Clockwork robot is my fave. Sleepyhead has grown on me as well.
Yeah, those are sweet! 😀
Guys, there is a USA store on BrickLink that just listed a bunch of the Series 6 minifigs. The seller is located in Oregon and he said that his wife was able to pick up 3 full boxes locally. So, if you have some friends in Oregon, give them a call! Or you can check out the seller’s BrickLink store: https://store.bricklink.com/jlmcgivney?p=jlmcgivney
The hunt continues! 😉
Got 52 of them at Lego store in Concord, NC, USA!
Andy, congratulations! enjoy those little buggers! 🙂
awsome i only have 3 so fare and they are the bucher the sleapy head and the leprechaun!!!!!!

your commenter IVAN THE AWSOME LEGO FAN23456
I have the intergalactic girl, mechanic and alien. My favorite ones are
Flamenco dancer, statue of liberty, sleepyhead, skater girl and leprechaun.
I went to ToysRUs last week and bought half the series. I felt all the packets, and the only one I couldn’t find was the genie. So I got eight of them and will probably get the other eight once Walmart gets them. The only series I’ve missed so far is series 1, which I’m still trying to buy on ebay. Can’t wait until series seven and eight!
Highlander is my fav as he looks like a mini William Wallace.
Gee, yes the Highlander is great! 🙂
I still haven’t found them in stores. I pre-ordered the new Mini Death Star kit and added a mini-fig to the order.
Chris, I’m glad you got at least one! Keep trying your local Toys’R’Us. That is your best option. Also, if you try Target, check their Valentine’s Day section, not the LEGO section. That is where they had them in previous years. 😉
Thanks for thr Target tip. Last time I checked Target, they were still filling the Valentines aisle. I know they usually have a mini Lego ship but at that time all they had LEGOwise was Friends stuff. I’ll check Target next week new Star Wars Hasbro stuff will be out then.
Chris, yeah, with Target that’s what I do too; just keep checking back until they show up. 😉
love your site! Just bought some mini figures series 6 and they are so fun to open! I want to go buy more seeing all the fun descriptions on your website! Thanks for sharing!
Kelsey, nice to have ya! Let me know which ones you get! 😉
If you want to buy the individual figures you could try my shop at my personal favourite is the clockwork robot.
I found them at two Targets in the Northern VA area. $2.99 They have been at TRU for a awhile.
Hey! your website is so cool! I just bought some season 6 minifigures. i had no clue that the leprechauns feet couldn’t come off! I wonder why they did that?
Austin, I’m not sure what you mean. The Leprechaun’s leg-assembly is a separate piece and comes off just fine. 😕
He probably means how the short legs are different than the normal legs and can’t move or come off the hips.
Quad, I didn’t think of that! You might be right. But the short legs have been around for 10 years now, so I’m not sure. 😕
i got Leprechaun yesterday at hobby town usa
I didn’t know Hobby Town carried them! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
also space girl two times
Finally found a Genie! Still looking for a Robot. A LEGO Store just opened in local mall. The mall just had a grand reopening after a flood destoryed a couple years ago. The Grand Opening for the LEGO store is at the end of the month.
Chris, you are lucky that a LEGO store is coming near you! Good luck finding your robot! Just ask the Genie! 😀
i need warrer number 2
Hey! I really want to get the Lady Liberty and perhaps the surgeon. The only problem is, nobody will get series 5 from Walmart! I hope the one in South Carolina finally finished out their series 5….
Rachel, same thing down here in Florida. WM doesn’t carry the newer series. I did get some at TRU, and ordered the rest on eBay. 😉
I have not seen series 6 or 7 at Wal-mart. Our nearest wal-mart had tons of series 5 after Christmas. Frist they marled them down a whole 0.02. Eventually they went down to $1.00. So I doubt they’ll get many.
I have found series 6 at Target, walgreens, and Barnes and Noble.
Yep, same thing here; the last time I have seen any series at WM was at Christmas. Tons of boxes. The rest are a hit or miss, so I completely switched over at getting them on eBay. The price is not bad at all (I got a full set of Series 7 with shipping included for $50), I’m garanteed to get all the figs I want and don’t have to waste gas. 😉
