LEGO started a trend of featuring one LEGO mini-model every month back in 2009. The monthly LEGO mini-model build has been a popular hands-on event at official LEGO stores, but even if you don’t live near a LEGO store you can build them as the instructions are available online. I would suggest you bookmark this page for future reference: LEGO Monthly Mini Models 2012
The LEGO mini-models usually feature a simple, seasonal or exclusive model most anyone could build from their current LEGO collection. They are an interesting way to learn some new building ideas and techniques. 😉
This month’s mini-model is a small LEGO Thanksgiving Turkey to celebrate the season. This is actually my second favorite mini-model this year – the first one being the duck from April. Please note that the instructions for each mini-model are only available until the end of the month they are featured in, so even if you are not planning to build your turkey now, it is best to download the instructions (it is a PDF file) for future reference. Here is the link: DOWNLOAD LEGO TURKEY INSTRUCTIONS
If you have trouble finding pieces for building a monthly mini-model, they are usually available at the Online LEGO Shop during the same month they are featured. In case of the LEGO Turkey, you can find it at the following link: #40033 LEGO Turkey & Other Holiday LEGO
So what do you think? Have you built any of the LEGO mini-models before? Which one has been your favorite so far? And how do you like the LEGO Thanksgiving Turkey? Share your thoughts in the comment section below! And happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

Yay first comment! At last! This looks very gpod, even though im a vegetarian! Can you still download instructions for previous builds?
Nope. You can’t. LEGO archives builds older than a month….some websites will still offer old mini build downloads though.
